My wife has to wear one at work in the lab but it's really affecting her breathing.
Luckily we live in England so apart from work she doesn't wear one.
And neither do I because we aren't scared of the scamdemic. I really hope the Thai authorities see sense and make these things non mandatory by the time we come in August.

So sad but this happens every day.
Every day many Thai families lose a loved one or loved ones.
There needs to be a radical change in culture on the roads. They need to realise an amulet or Buddhist writing won't save them.
My wife didn't drive in Thailand she was too scared to. So she learnt in England and is now a great safe driver. So Thai's have it in them to be good drivers they just need the right guidance and training. And they need to want to improve as well.
When I drive there I am so defensive I treat everyone around me like a brain dead fool. I expect people to come out at traffic lights. I expect someone to drive the wrong way towards me. I expect a lorry to pull out in front of me at a U turn point. And I watch the races from the lights where they all have to be first.

The last time it was Agoda and the hotel in Koh Chang ( Farang manager!). The news was internationally reported at the time. The name and location of the hotel was soon uncovered. Just waiting for the same to happen here so we all know where to avoid. Any more clues anyone?
We found that hotel excellent and couldn't believe some of the comments from the reviewer.
We think there was more to that story all along.

Eventually the reduced international travel will result in the near collapse of the airline industry and you'll be able to pick up a slightly used Boeing 777 for the price of a caravan.
Caravans are going through the roof in price now due to people not flying anywhere.

Hope they don’t take ‘months’ to refund like all other carriers have during Covid.
An airline which does this looses loyalty as future confidence in the carrier wanes.
Meanwhile other carriers offer reliable solutions (i.e. Finn / Emirates/ Qatar), not direct, but reliable.
Does this also mean the UK thinks Thailand is going to remove it from the Covid green list ???
Finnair gave us our refund in 5 days for this year's cancellation.
Last year's from Thai Air took nearly a year. And that was only after I got it back through credit card charge back when they weren't responding to me.

Where is the condo?
And what are the fees?
Message me we may be interested in a deal.

New measures to 'protect' the gullible will be re introduced in UK. I'm sure.
Back to Thailand and military is all about control and subversion. Convid is the prefect excuse.
We are due back in August to see family and friends but I really don't think we are going to enjoy it as a lot has changed for the worse in the 4 years since we last went.

The main issue people in the UK have with MG cars apart from name snobbery is that the wheels look too small.
They look okay to me, But then I'd drive one on an extended test drive or even hire one if I can to see if it's something that fits me.
Everyone has a different view on what they want out of a vehicle.
If the ££ ever increases in value I'd look at one to leave with the family for our use on our visits. Cheap with a warranty backed by a major manufacturer.

My wife now has a British passport it's indeed a pain to go through it all. But it's well worth it in the end.
ukba has to be self funding and those funds come from legitimate people like us. i don't agree with that but that's the way it is and if we want our spouses in the uk we have to suck it up.

If its any use we applied 30th May and my wife's Citizenship was granted 23rd September. The ceremony was a week later we are now waiting for her passport.

And don't let them smell a foreigner when your doing negotiations. Get a Thai to talk money for this.
I was offered 2 Rai building land on the outskirts of Sawang Daen Din for about £5k just 6 years ago. That's as close as i got to values up country.

As a backup for the residency we put down that we were moving to my Mum and Dads. My wife was pregnant which we stated on the application and it's a 2 bedroomed place.
We stayed there about 4 months before returning to Thailand for a few months after he was born then returning and getting our own place.
We just provided a copy of her Secured Tenancy agreement and an invitation letter.

We sent my wifes Citizenship application off 30th May they took about 2 weeks to take the money from our debit card and we are still waiting for it to be granted.

This was all going to happen one day.
As Churchill once said as he held the Quran aloft there will never be peace in the world as long as this acursed book exists.
Just let all Muslim hell holes destroy themselves and each other. And close the borders to those countries.

Gimme a break. The overwhelming reason there is so much human suffering and environmental destruction in those dunes is because of locals. On a macro level, they keep allowing/enabling despots to be their leaders. They're hobbled by mean-spirited belief systems and a complete disregard for environmental husbandry. I won't say they deserve all the misery they create, but I have two bits of advice for them: {A} make less babies, and {B} adopt a less mean-spirited belief system. You clearly know nothing about Middle East/SW Asian politics. The overwhelming reason for the human suffering you mention is due to the interference in other nations affairs by the US and their cronies who have decided to impose THEIR brand of democracy on the rest of the world. Environmental destruction in those dunes is wholly due to the west insatiable demand for oil. Watch very carefully. Iraqi civil war today is exactly how the Afghan/Pakistani (Borders) conflict of tomorrow will pan out. And all due to American/British and euro lapdog GREED.
Absolute rubbish yes the Western Countries have contributed to some of the strife there and some killings by keeping certain despots in power but the overwhelming problem with these people is their cult. Sorry I mean religion. ...
Islam is the main culprit in all of this. The belief system is stuck in the 6th Century. We have tried to impose democracy in these nations and it just won't work because the people aren't used to thinking for themselves. They are used to being ruled by fear. They believe they have to live their lives according to the teachings of a middle ages drugged up paedophilic despot.
Sadly they will kill and rape each other to extinction. If there was no oil there then the world wouldn't care about them and they'd all still be living in tents in the desert.

Yes but before the airline will let you fly an emergency travel document issued by the Thai embassy will be accepted.

Why would someone let their home passport lapse? You can get a Certificate of travel from the Thai embassy which is valid for 14 days and allows entry into Thailand for a Thai citizen without a passport.
We did this for our son when he was first born because the full passport would take too long to arrive.

Glad we managed to get in before this income debacle. We are a month away from going for Citizenship and we can then breathe no more Border Agency controls.
Good luck to those still in the system and those that will be in the future. In the early days I found this forum invaluable for advice and tips. And listen to 7by7 he knows his stuff for sure.

Spanish authorities most definitely are 20 years behind the Uk and I would recommend obtaining the visa they would not look at the uk visa if they see the Spanish Schengen visa.

These stories always make me chuckle. I've got mates that have had bad women Thai and Non Thai.
My first wife was Anglo Italian and a complete psycho. She even pretended she was dying to get me to go back to her.
My next and last English GF was younger than me and followed me everywhere. A totally gorgeous girl it should have been me with the insecurities but nope. It was her with those. Due to this that ends and my long planned thoughts of going to Thailand come true.
Helping out a mate in his hotel in Hua Hin seemed the ideal opportunity to dip my toe into the country. First day I meet a 19 year old who worked in the hotel. (I was 37) I was smitten perfect body and something rare for a Thai. She had a curvy backside. We had amazing times her family were lovely and they wanted nothing but their daughter to be loved which I did dearly. Until she robbed money from me only 5,000baht but it was the principle.
That soured things and her family tore into her. She left me for a very rich very old Norwegian. And in the end married a geriatric American millionaire who is now dead. She lives in Colorado and is fat but has her wish of being rich.
Thirteen years ago met my wife online (10 years younger than me) we spoke for 6 months until I came back to Thailand and life has been amazing. Her family don't expect anything from us we just pay her parents life insurance annually 10,000 baht. She earns much more in the British labs than in Thai hospitals and is happy here. Maybe the fact she is educated helps. She loves earning her own money and pays for our Caravan and is saving up for our Thai house from her wages.
We have a 10 year old son who plays top level football for his age group. We still love each other as much if not more than when we got together.
The town we live in has a vibrant Thai community we occasionally see a few of them but it's not the centre of our life. In fact we spend more time with the family and they all adore her. There was never any animosity from my parents/siblings.
If I lost her I probably wouldn't marry another Thai I don't think I'd get as lucky next time. I would just be an old hansum man having fun.
Anyway that's my take on it. Not all stories are bad.
