Why in Pattaya newspaper always see photos of Indian Tourists who been robbed by some beachroad ladyboy.They never been charged or accused for anything but i do not think they happy with their photo is in the magazine.The teacher photo should be published!

My wife, 4 year old son and i were walking into our pattaya hotel last year when i saw some Indian deviant playing with his cock through a thin pair of trousers.

If its any use we applied 30th May and my wife's Citizenship was granted 23rd September. The ceremony was a week later we are now waiting for her passport.

And don't let them smell a foreigner when your doing negotiations. Get a Thai to talk money for this.

I was offered 2 Rai building land on the outskirts of Sawang Daen Din for about £5k just 6 years ago. That's as close as i got to values up country.

Ceremony last week i was so proud. It is well worth the wait and the cost in the end.

Citizenship granted 10th September 14 weeks :-) My wife can now look forward to having borders opened up to her.

Thanks yes very worth it. We'll hear about her ceremony in the next 2 weeks. Then we can apply for her passport.

As a backup for the residency we put down that we were moving to my Mum and Dads. My wife was pregnant which we stated on the application and it's a 2 bedroomed place.

We stayed there about 4 months before returning to Thailand for a few months after he was born then returning and getting our own place.

We just provided a copy of her Secured Tenancy agreement and an invitation letter.

We sent my wifes Citizenship application off 30th May they took about 2 weeks to take the money from our debit card and we are still waiting for it to be granted.

This was all going to happen one day.

Why would someone let their home passport lapse? You can get a Certificate of travel from the Thai embassy which is valid for 14 days and allows entry into Thailand for a Thai citizen without a passport.

We did this for our son when he was first born because the full passport would take too long to arrive.

There are loads of bars all with a smattering of expats. You'll learn to weed out the <deleted> if you have some common sense.

Glad we managed to get in before this income debacle. We are a month away from going for Citizenship and we can then breathe no more Border Agency controls.

Good luck to those still in the system and those that will be in the future. In the early days I found this forum invaluable for advice and tips. And listen to 7by7 he knows his stuff for sure.
