Go to the nearest hospital and register, simple I'm 82. Have no fear. Wear a mask in public ,keep your distance.
If you don't already know, get your vitamin D up high and take zinc and magnesium, plus vitamin C.
Dr Sircus and other naturopaths say this helps the body to resist infection. When you're older keeping D up is a good thing.
My GP prescribes it to me and my old mates for free.

The caveat being the last sentence in the quote above.
Doses are few and far between, with the schedule as such.
So when will the vaccines they have on hand run out, as they have to shift the vaccines to ward off the virus in prisons, factories, and such. Are only Thais in prison, and working in factories getting vaccinated or are they vaccinating all. The world wants to now.
No need to worry about the prisons, they are locked.
Interesting, expats rated as low down the list as migrant workers.
You would think that migrant workers would be jabbed first as most of the spread came from the borders.
Don't forget the majority of expats over 60,do they get vaccinated with the Thais 60 +.
So far just over 1% of the population have been vaccinated.
Organised chaos = LOS.

Only 8 AM and the first U turn of the day reported, keep 'em coming we all love a cheer up ???? How is he going to get 70 per cent of Bkk vaccinated in 2 months at this rate?
Doses may be diverted to the people that walked in already and can't leave for a few years.
But the good news is that they will not have to go to jail for refusing a vaccination.

Sitting on the beach is banned.

Having fun with other people requires social distancing.
Returning home through Bangkok Airport, on the way back home requires a covid free test before boarding, at your own expense.
Enjoy your stay.

What is the jail sentence for walking on a beach instead of the pavement right besides it?
They don't want you to get in the shttttt, and catch covid maybe.
I hear it's detectable in sewerage.
Maybe some beaches allow people in the water depending on the sewerage situation.

As usual when any topic relates to prisons and punishments a lot of posters come along that clearly don't understand what's wrong with the prison system - not just in Thailand but in many countries.
People commit crime for a variety of reasons, drugs, poverty, plain stupidity etc. etc. and yes, there are some that are just plain bad.
However, before regarding people in prison as less than human and deserving of any misfortune that may befall them whilst they are serving their punishment, people need to ask themselves if prison actually works? Yes, for some there is no alternative but looking around the world at the growing prison populations - despite very heavy sentences in some countries, you don't have to be Einstein to realise that in a great many cases, prison isn't working.
Repeat offending rates are very high and illustrate the inefficacy of simply locking someone up for committing crime. Ask yourself a question - what do you want from a penal system? Do you want it to just lock people up for them to come out and continue committing crimes or would you rather they stopped committing those crimes? The USA is a prime example - around 2.3 million people in prison, very heavy sentencing yet crime rates are still high. Longer sentences are brought in - crime rates still go up so they build more prisons - crazy! Prison, for many, simply doesn't work.
Personally, what I want from a penal system is a safer world with less crime. How that is achieved is not my concern but its pretty damned clear the the current system of punishment isn't achieving anything.
Many of the people in prison have children - when you sentence someone to prison, you also sentence their family who are innocent. Its all very well to say they should have thought about their family before they commited their crime, that doesn't help their family. In countries with a welfare system, it doesn't help the taxpayer either - the people who pay for to the running of prisons and pay for benefits given to the familes prisoners leave behind.
When someone is locked up - the sentence is to deprive them of their time - not their health or dignity. In incarcerating someone, the very minimum the penal authority becomes responsible for is an inmate's health. If someone becomes infected with Covid 19 in prison, the authority has failed in that duty and so becomes an offender itself.
As someone pointed out earlier, the rules regarding Covid 19 in Thailand require social distancing, the wearing of masks, and limited numbers of people gathering in one place - failure to comply is punishable by fines or even imprisonment. Yet scores of people are thrown into one room without masks or any hope of social distancing in Thailand's jails. Maybe the jailers should be fined or imprisoned?
As for an immediate solution to the outbreak in Thailand's prisons, I doubt there is one, its too late. What they can do however, is to prevent further outbreaks through testing, isolation of new inmates and prisoner movements. The courts could also postpone all but the most serious cases on their lists.
Put someone in prison, treat them worse than you'd treat an animal - what do you expect to come out? A reformed person or any angry human being with an axe to grind?
Right, but not an axe to grind, but a Gun to shoot.
And the USA situation, they privatised most prisons and made prisoners a 50 cent per hour industry.
Couple that with crooked judges who send people to jail for petty crimes, and a police force that looks like Darth Vaders army, stepping on throats, and mistaking Tasers for hand guns, and you have anarchy.
I have a friend who spent 2 years in the Bangkok hilton for being the boyfriend of a government officials daughter, who hated him.
He said he had to queue for water for hours sometimes from a dribbling tap.
No one knew he was in Jail, he only got out when a social worker got a message to his mother who had to fly to Thailand to bargain for his release.
They released him and deported him for life.
That's years ago and conditions don't seem to have changed.
What's going to happen to these poor prisoners if they get critical and need oxygen treatment and hospitals????
Maybe Thailand will have to bury them on a special island banned from the public, just like New York.

Does that mean other prisons don't have it. The number of inmates in total is quite low I thought the total population in Thai prisons was far higher. Does that mean no checks in other prisons or no cases.
1...Mr Prayut should issue orders to lock all prisons down .
2. Save money don't bother testing as they will all have it.
3. Release all the non serious offenders, as long as they work in the fishing industry for free.
This will mean they will know where the Covid spread came from and eliminate the threat of variant strains coming in from Myanmar

The prisons are like bombs ready to explode.
Social distancing is not a requirement in Thai prisons.
And is, not possible. If you have seen pictures in the media.
However, if you refuse vaccination in Buriram you can be imprisoned,
This will probably guarantee that you will infected and Som Num Na, for not listening.

Which supplies arrived earlier than expected? More useless Sinovac?
That's the question, which
Vaccine has arrived?
By arriving, does this mean imported and what's the brand name?
It seems that ASTRA production may be a while off.
India has to get going on production of Astra, and components are in short supply.
It seems that the Astra vaccine will be the third world's main vaccine.
Those in Buriram, it seems will be prosecuted if they refuse vaccination if offered a vaccine.
New Zealand who have Covid at bay at present, and have opened a travel bubble with Australia, and soon the cook islands are using the Pfizer version and will not make vaccination compulsory.
It would be a violation of human rights to imprison people for refusing to be vaccinated.
However the world might change that in the future.

There is a lot of people who do not die from COVID, but there are also lots of them who have side effects
for a long time, and it is all ages that get the long lasting side effects. Everyone is happy that COVID is not as deadly as Ebola.
Most of us do not want to catch COVID to see what our outcome will be. I hope that a lot of Thais get their shots by December.
That is when I will seriously decide if I will go to Thailand after January 2022, but more likely I will wait until November 2022
before I venture out on an international flight anywhere.
Geezer
Quite right, I and many friends, and mostly over 60,here stuck in NZ after coming home for Xmas are now debating whether to get vaccinated and run the gauntlet.
Both a big decision.

This Government is pathetic, why oh why is it taking so long to roll out the Moderna vaccine,
Oh forgot, there's more kick back if they use the Sinovac or AZ vaccine, the leaders should be ashamed of themselves...
It's quite possible that they thought they would have a smooth run and be producing Astra full swing by now.
India has thrown a spanner in the works and is not producing it full swing yet, and component supply is said to be a problem.
Then Complications with Astra, only add to this.
No one was prepared for the massive Indian outbreak, so many politicians got caught with their pants down.
Helen Clarke, United Nations said political bad management has allowed the virus to spread hugely in many countries.
Source RNZ news.
So vaccinating 70% of the population in certain areas of LOS in time for the big opening may be a big ask.
They may have to get supplies from other producers, Russia has offered to help and has donated vaccine to India.
The politicians and lobbyists are now at it full time bickering over who gets what and whose pockets are filled. The WHO says they should be united to fight this.
My guess is it's never going to happen.
Meantime Israel and Palestine don't seem to be worried about corona virus, quite content to blow each other up during a pandemic.
Arms manufacturers and their customers worldwide are at it full swing, their customers blowing each other up, with no concerns about corona virus, or vaccination it seems.
This means that wars take priority over the pandemic.
Big money to be made from the fireworks suppliers, and they seem to have more clout than the United Nations, WHO or any President or PM of any country.

All that it can be said is that A lot of water will flow in the Mekong river between now and the first of October...
They will have the country open then to vaccinated tourists, in certain areas where they have vaccinated 70% of the population.
Question? what vaccine will they use, I don't think Astra will be in full production by then, you may never know, after all they will be able to put men on the moon soon.

My friends/family in the UK have said AZ vaccine is used for older generation 50+ as they seem to have a stronger immune system and don' t get complications, the younger generation are getting Pfizer.
Thailand it's going to be AZ or nothing by the look of things.
Unfortunately, this may happen more often.
What remains to be seen is what will happen when and if Astra is mass produced in India and Thailand.

What will they be allowed to do? Stay inside the hotel room 24 hours a day, by themself, not drinking alcohol, not meeting anyone and eating krapaow to prevent covid? That island is dead.
I dont know! maybe, they can play with TAG girls, sunbathe, eat raw prawns and som tum?
I sure hope they don't catch covid from a Burmese beach worker, as catching covid whilst vaccinated is a factually happening, although they say you don't get very sick.
Then upon their return home they ,(if testing positive or not for c19) will most likely be required to complete 14 days quarantine in their home country, and di di di---- wait for it----pay for it at their own expense.
Lets see
Airfare 2k quid (covid special fare)
Hotel 50k Baht with discount.
Food on the beach 5000 Baht
accessories 30,000 Baht
Quarantine 2k quid
Maybe end up at 6k quid for 2 weeks on the beach and two weeks at home in quarantine.
Whoppee I think I will fly down to Rio.

I thought the "conventional wisdom" was to keep the fridge stuffed with as much as possible as it reduces the amount of new air having to be cooled each time the door is opened...obviously it does take energy to cool the food down but once cooled it will also act as a reverse heat sink keeping the inside cool.
Correct, in NZ the government pays a winter allowance to the pensioners and welfare beneficiaries.
The prices don't go up.
In Thailand summer causes higher use of power, so it is just greed to increase power prices in the summer, someone with leadership should be stepping in here not stepping on the people causing more expenses.
What are you supposed to do, run one light bulb and sleep in one room with a fan, I know that's how hard it is for some to have power, all year.

What's the point of all the rest, those are enough to spread the virus to no end....! ????☹️
And that bit about if it can't be postponed is a joke, like how do you postpone a funeral ! ....????
I know a friend got married in UK last month, only allowed 6 people in total...! 4 friends plus a photographer and a caterer...., now that's called real restriction...! ????
Why don't they just ring Jacinda up, I'm sure she could give them some proper lockdown advice, instead of making it up as they go.

This the same place that will be supposedly accepting unvaccinated foreigners in 2 months ?
Think anyone booking this 'free roam vaccinated holiday' now is like someone putting money on zero on the roulette wheel
Reuters this morning article saying 3000 prisoners have Covid-19 in Bangkok Jail including an arrested protester who allegedly insulted royalty.
If prisoners are full now from Covid-19 then will this follow onto Police and Army, does not look good for the opening of anywhere.

It only takes 2 to tango, dancing is banned, making noise must have been 2much for the neighbours.
Thais can make as much noise as they like.
Having fun with a couple of friends is now another excuse to punish falang virus spreaders, only this news could go viral on Facebook, does not cause covid spread, someone should tell the police this.

If i was living in another country and wanted to travel for a holiday Thailand with these current numbers would not make it onto a list of possibilities until at least 2022 or later .
Exactly what I think.
I live in Thailand but came home to Nz January 2020 with the Thai wife and my son.
We have been watching and waiting and were planning to make a move back this Xmas after the lockdown ect.
Now I'm thinking twice about this as I don't want to get covid at my age.
I have not been vaccinated yet, not my turn until June, and I don't want to be vaccinated, nor do I want to force it on the wife and 9 year old, but it's looking like no one will be able to travel without it.
I've got the mother in law staying in our house 2 scared to go out to work in the markets, and she is telling us not to come back yet as Bangkok to dangerous to travel through, she says.
Just as I would not think of visiting
India, as a tourist, I also don't want to come back to Thailand at the moment due to the c 19 problems.

So you wait for the results to come in the next day, then the 3 day quarantine comes in, so where do you wait until the next day?
Then after the wait and 3 days of quarantine you can sit in your hotel until you return to your home country.
During this time you must not be in contact with any local people
Special rooms will have a beach view, but walking or standing on the beach will be prohibited, as you may come into contact with the beach vendors, who have all left as they had no customer, long time, and are not allowed to talk to tourists from abroad.
