Report in a FB group called “Wise” One member writes: ”I just renewed my Retirement Extension at Krabi Immigration. I had printed off a statement from WISE, showing pension being paid in, followed by transfer of funds the same day. Everything went smoothly.” The member further explained: “I Logged in (to Wise) and requested it. It come in PDF form, so had to print it out. I think I went into 'Account details'.” Krabi immigration accepted the PDF. “Immigration didn't ask for one [letter from bank/institution]. But bear in mind different offices have different requirements.” —- Hope this can be of value for members of ASEAN NOW ????

Spoken date format differs country/language. No worries there. For written dates, the ISO standard is recommended.
-
Yes, logical indeed: yyyy-mm-dd
-
It’s very logical I’d say. Why you think it’s not logical?
-
The ISO International standard for Date is: 2023-09-13 (year-month-day) Source: https://www.w3.org/QA/Tips/iso-date

What perks/discounts do you get on a member Card?

No more restrictions when entering Thailand on a foreign passport. For all Thai dual citizens: A directive has been sent to all immigration officials stating that Thai nationals who enter Thailand on a foreign passport are no longer treated as foreign nationals for immigration purposes and that they can come and go as they please, without restrictions, on foreign passport so long as they also have proof of Thai nationality (for instance an ID card. This brings to an end the perverse situation of many Thais (for whatever reason) entering Thailand on a foreign passport and being treated as a foreigner for immigration purposes. Source: FB Group “Thai Citizenship Group” Comment: Now I’m still reading up on this, and for the moment I’ll say this is good news for those born with Thai nationality. For those who naturalise as Thai citizens I think it’s wise to be cautious and NOT use your foreign passport in Thailand given the clauses in the nationality act which give the right for the government to strip naturalised Thais (as well as those born with Thai citizenship but with TWO foreign parents with PR) of their Thai citizenship.

george replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
UPDATE: THAKSIN WILL STAY IN PRISON MEDICAL WARD After a medical check-up, the Department of Corrections stated that former PM Thaksin Shinawatra, 74, has five medical conditions. He will be held in a separate medical ward within the prison and monitored by medical specialists. The five conditions include ischemic heart muscle, chronic pulmonary inflammation, high blood pressure, degenerated spine, and abnormal posture. The food he receives in prison will be provided solely by the prison, and his visitation privileges will adhere to the same rules as other prisoners. However, only his lawyer will be allowed to visit during the first five days of his incarceration. #Thailand #ทักษิณ #ทักษิณกลับไทย- 134 replies
