You should consider downgrading from the 1200 Baht package to the 700 baht package (50/100) as I did because although you are getting fantastic speeds in Thailand the websites or movies you are downloading from servers outside Thailand will give you no more than 50 mb/s so you are paying extra for nothing. When I downgraded it made absolutely no difference to the download speeds I was getting internationally.
Now it seems I've been upgraded at no extra cost like you. I actually received an SMS text message telling me that. Not true.. I have the international package and usually get around 100 mb/s today I am getting 89mb/s. More than the required 25 mb/s for streaming.

I am planning to do a border run there next month.. what is required to take the car in and out? It would only be for a few days.. Do you think it is easy enough to be worth it?.. Thanks..
You need to get a permit from the same office you pay your yearly car tax in order to take the car across the boarder. To do so you must be the owner of the car.

I am in KK and did the run there 4 months ago. I drove, left my car to Muk and took the bus across. Next time I will take the car across, easy driving in Savannakhet.
As for #4, It's a sleepy little town with a Casino. That's about it.

Queen Sirkat is a Cardiac Hospital. I think you are referring to Srinagarind Hospital at KKU.

Passed by the new station last night. It was totally dark. Does not look open to me.
This was posted Feb 19th.
Khon Kaen Railway Station is currently (last update February 2019) being refurbished to accommodate the new dual track railway line under construction, and passenger services are operating out of a temporary railway station at the moment which is inconveniently located 8.2 km by road to the south of the Chao Por Lak Muang Khon Kaen Shrine, in the centre of Khon Kaen City.

I'm a bit confused...
1 What tax are you guys talking about? My wife has quit a bit of land and to the best of my knowledge there are no yearly tax payments.
2 If your wife has undisputed ownership that was acquired and registered 3 years ago, squatters rules do not apply.
From what I understand, these people who are farming the land must live on the land as well without the owners knowledge.
Your wife giving them permission to farm disqualifies them from claiming squatters rights.
I don't see how a court can rule for these farmers.

Sounds like it could be the routers firewall setting. Some routers have a high medium and low setting.
Check the setting if it's on high change it to medium. Log out of the router and reboot both the router and your MACs.

I order from Amazon as their products are real and they get here in 5 or 6 days. Amazon now has a dedicated section of products that do ship to Thailand.
You need to check Lazada as many of the products are fake. I also find Lazada expensive.
My wife likes these new 3 in 1 laundry pods. They sell on Lazada for 250-450B depending on the seller. I buy the identical product on Shopee for B149. Huge difference.

I'm not aware of needing an income letter to marry a Thai National, nor was I asked to provide one when I married.

The rule for bankruptcy is you must owe over 1 mil. From what I understand, creditors can ban together and force bankruptcy.
It takes 3 years to remove credit report data.

Hi Jeffrey, I do believe you are completely correct, and this has been the situation for the past many years. I have today been advised by a major law company to take the license holder to the Tax Office in Laemchabang and find out what is wrong. As stated in another reply, my humble little open-air bar has now been listed by my lawyer as a disco ! ???? Very strange indeed, no music and an average net of not much over 150,000 after legal-rate wages paid. Thank you for your reply.
I'm not quite sure what the tax increments are without checking with my wife, but believe 150-300,000 is 5%.
When you go to the Revenue Office and are not comfortable with what you're being told, let me know via PM and I will be glad to put you in touch with my wife.

My wife is a lawyer and works for the Revenue Dept. She tells me how you pay your tax depends on your business income.
You can pay taxes monthly if you wish but not required. Seems the law states business earning over 1.8 mil B are required to pay twice a year.
She did say a 1500% increase is ridiculous. The % you pay depends on the business net income. If under 150,000 it's 0%. The max is 30% of net.

These Top Cops have nothing better to do then blame tourists for their inability to manage their own job responsibilities.
Thai Nationals for the most part couldn't care less about the rules.
The Cops know it, they can't manage it so they take it out on the tourists.

The Police can determine that your complaint is a "no crime" complaint and not forward it to the prosecutor. If they determine the crime is borderline, they tend to bury it. They do this as there is a tremendous amount of investigation and paperwork that needs to be done prior to the complaint going to the prosecutor.
If you feel wronged, you can insist they send it to the prosecutor who will determine if a crime has been committed.
Even if the prosecutor determines a crime has been committed. he/she can choose not to pursue it.

Four years ago I had a heart attack. Fortunately, I live only 5 minutes to one of the largest hospitals in KK.
I want it known that the Cardiologist did save my life as I was revived twice.. BUT there are some disturbing facts.
To make a long story short, there was a blockage and a stent was necessary.
The disturbing part is the Cardiologist never came to seem me after the procedure. He sent a medical student. The student told me an artery was partially blocked, and was told a stent was not necessary.
After 7 days, I was released and given an appointment 2 weeks later to see the Cardiologist.
I returned in 2 weeks, not feeling very well only to be told the Dr was not in the hospital and my appointment needs to be rescheduled. I told them I wasn't feeling well and wanted to be seen by a Cardiologist.
2 hours later a doctor listened to my chest, said it sounds fine and sent me home.
Still not feeling well [dizzy and no energy] I returned to the hospital. No tests were done but I was prescribed Dramamine and sent home.
At this point I did some research and found who was considered one of the best Cardiologists in NE Thailand.
My wife called and explained to him what was going on. He asked I come to the hospital ASAP.
He did an ECHO only to find a good size blood clot in my heart. Which BTW if moved could have killed me.
He treated the clot with meds and I'm feeling fine. I do see him every three months.
I have found many Dr's here do not like to be questioned or challenged. My advise, do it and if you are not happy with the answers find another Dr.

If it's for basic transportation, any of the new pickups will do you well.. If it's for work [farm etc], IMO Ford is the best of the lot.

Just about any bill can be paid at 7/11 as long as it's paid on time. If late, you will need to go to the utility's office.

Response from Transferwise.
"Hey xxx, we did unfortunately have an issue with our partner bank in Thailand and for this reason your payment bounced back from them to us. The money is within our system and we'll try sending it out again today, it should be on your account by tomorrow. We're very sorry for any inconveniences this caused you."
Note they are only going to "try" sending it again. Also note it's not their fault. In fact, it's never their fault.
This is not true.. I setup a transfer on Friday. TW said I would receive the money on Monday Feb 4.
On Feb 4 I got a message from TW stating that my receiving bank refused the transfer.
I called Bangkok Bank and they said no such transfer was received by them.
I called TW, they apologized saying the glitch was in their system and not with my receiving bank. They said I would have my transfer today.
I asked them to adjust the conversion rate as it is now higher and in my favor. They said they could not.

My bet is that Thai Immigration will not consider screen shots of an app as official... to date they have only accepted a bank issued statement and balance letter from the bank...
Possible, but we really don't know for sure. The next time I go to the IO, I will show the app and the printout and ask if they will accept it as proof of transfer.

From where are you printing this detailed transaction that shows everything from?... Bangkok Bank?
And in general it is most likely that Thai Immigration will only accept printed documents directly from the Thai bank as anything you printed off yourself of from a foreign source is easily manipulated...
It's not a foreign source.. It's the official BKK Bank Bualuang m Banking App
