Rocked up in person at the Immigration Office (Surin) today complete with mask. Handed over my passport c/w 90 day receipt and it was handed back to me 3 minutes later with a new 90 day receipt. 8 of the 10 officers/employees wore masks. No TM47 required although I had a completed one in the truck just in case.

Think your light on your count, today
TM7 - 1
Passport (incl. attachments TM6 departure card, TM30 receipt and TM47 receipt) - 7
Acknowledgment forms - 3
Map of house location - 1
Yellow Book - 1
Bank - 2 (ownership letter and bank statement)
Bank Passbook - 5
OK TM7, 3 acknowledgment forms and house map blank form are provided by Immigration to be completed and the bank actually supplies 2, but the pack I eventually provided contained some 20 pages.
Next year will probably be about 40 pages as I am planning on moving to the combination route which involves an additional account, multiple bank statement pages and 12 advice of foreign transfer notes, Maybe even letters to prove that the money originated as Pensions.
Is the TM30 receipt a new requirement? We've only ever completed one which was about 6 years ago and we don't have a receipt.
I don't believe that a map of your house location is required for an extension based on retirement; It was one year but I thought that had now been dropped.
Yellow book (Tabian Baan) is not necessary. It's not mandatory to have one.

Gotcha, yes there is that type of Non Imm O available as well, I believe just before Covid Hit Peter Dennis had a roadmap for folks to switch to the Non-O vs The Non-OA, so folks would not need the insurance
Just to clarify, the minimum age to obtain a retirement extension in Thailand in 2000 was 55. In 2000 I was only 50 so I was not eligible. I believe it was 2001 or 2002 when they reduced the eligible age to 50.

At one time that is the type I had issued and my extension was based upon that, alas a divorce changes the picture a little bit.
It didn't with me. My extensions are based upon a 12 month multi issued in Singapore when I was married to my first Thai wife. However, they were in respect of my retirement.
[Edit: I've never had an extension based upon marriage]

Some of us are here doing it the retired way and not the married way, always a little less paperwork as a retiree, but then you need 800K in the bank, or 65k a month instead of the 400K, 40K
The only visas that I've had for Thailand are multi-entry Os issued in both Singapore and Manila based on my marriage to a Thai. And the last one was in 2002.

Add in your insurance certificate from a Thai insurer meeting the requirements for the coming year if on a Non-OA extension of stay
I wasn't aware of that; but I have never had an OA Visa.

yes in Rayong you also need a twelve month statement from the bank
Is that if you're relying on a monthly income? Or also if you use the ฿800,000.00 in the bank route?

Noted. I have never been asked for a copy of it before but I shall add it to my pack for my application next month.
It's like living within one of Grimm's Fairy Tales here.
My pack now consists of:
TM7 (without photograph attached now - or so I understand)
Copy of passport main page(s)
Copy of passport page with transfer of "stamps" from previous passport
Copy of passport pages with previous extensions
Copy of passport page with latest entry stamp
Copy of TM6 (both sides - I've stopped including a blank piece of paper as they think that I'm taking the pish)
Copy of latest 90 day receipt
Letter from bank confirming balance (at the same date as the application)
Copy of bank passbook cover page
Copy of bank passbook pages showing at least 12 months transactions (last page with a transaction dated as per the bank letter)
Copy of my wife's Tabian Baan
Copy of my yellow Tabian Baan (although this is usually not required)
Copy of my wife's ID
Signed letter to confirm I understand that if I break the law I may be prosecuted (I've never understood that one)
Signed letter (in Thai) confirming that I have the funds (as stated in the bank letter and my passbook)
Has anyone been asked for any other documents recently for a retirement extension?

You can be asked for proof you did the report by immigration.
Also for the situation many people are in now that requires them to do the report in person or by mail.
It's not a major hardship. The receipt is published on the website (well, it was) which I access on my desktop then press print and voila, I get a printed receipt which I staple to a page in my passport after removing the previous one.

Why do you need to print it? I never do, just make a calendar reminder on my phone.
I believe that it should be affixed into your passport or at least accompany your passport.

Time to try and do both at the same time, killing two birds with one stone as the saying goes.
You know it makes sense.
Well, to me it does, but I'm not Thai.

The answer was "no amnesty as yet". Yes, he still needs to report; it's not a problem. Just turn up with his passport and it will take 5 minutes".
I'll probably leave it until Thirstday (the 6th day after).
I have now done a calculation and Friday 23rd April 2021 is 6 days after my 90 day reporting date (17th April 2021) and only 44 days before my date to renew my extension of stay (6th June 2021). At Surin Immigration, the extension of stay may be applied for up to 45 days prior to expiry (or that has been the rule for the last 4 years),

90-day report. Planning to fix the website but he doesn't know when we'll be able to use it again.
So - after two months that the site has been down, Immigration are still in the planning stage?

Maybe we will be lucky and they will suspend the need to report tomorrow.
I was planning to drive there on Tuesday but, depending on the response to the telephone call, I may leave it until Thirstday (Or not even bother and suffer the fine!)

I am due to report that I am still living at the same address (over 20 years now) during this coming week (actual report date 17th April 2021).
Today we have discovered that the "resort" opposite our house has confirmed that one of their guests is infected. The gentleman in question arrived from Phuket last week.
My wife will ring Immigration tomorrow to ask if it's necessary to travel to report.
Given that the on-line reporting website is down (and has been for two months) what is to prevent a report by telephone? "I am still living at the same address" - precisely what you are saying if rocking up in person (or by proxy). It's not as though they do not have my information on file (and have done for 20 years).

Can you explain this one, I know I am a little slow on the uptake. If your referring to a buyout well they still are known as Tesco-Lotus at least for a little while longer.
The signage is still "Tesco-Lotus" here, even for the small express stalls.

My 90 day due tomorrow (Saturday), so my plan is to go Tuesday 20th, also hoping for an 11th hour reprieve with either suspension or abolition of 90 day reports.
160 Km each way so will combine it with a trip to BigC, Makro, KFC and McDonalds. May as well make it a fun day out.
Likewise on all counts although my trip is only just over 50 km each way. Since the last time that I visited (May 2020) I believe that virtually the whole way has been upgraded to dual carriageway so it should be only around 40 minutes drive each way. There's no reason that the process should last more than 5 minutes so it's not really a hassle.
As Robinson's, Big 'C', Makro and Tesco-Lotus are all within 1 km of my house that is not an issue. I am pleased to say that we do not have a local McDonald's and a visit to KFC would be the last item on my agenda.

I wish you luck but I'm afraid it's dead and gone.
In my opinion it is irresponsible during this latest increase in cases of the virus to require foreigners (or any one else) to travel and queue to conduct a pointless exercise.

A Surin Immigration officer was the source of the information. "My wife called them yesterday (Monday) and told closed. Open on the 19th then she will go and pay my 2000 baht fine."
It appears that another Farang rang the Surin Immigration office on Monday and was told (by a different IO apparently) that the office would be open on Friday and on Saturday morning.
Difficult to know who to believe these days.
Anyway, I shall rock up on Tuesday morning to report (3 days after the actual date).

So I take it, then, that you will be following your advice to @ubonrthai below by calling Surin Immigration Office on Friday, will you? If you get an answer not only will you be 5 THB the poorer but it will also become apparent that the officer to whom your wife spoke yesterday was telling her porkies and that you therefore need to hot-foot it there on Friday clutching 2 x crisp 1,000 THB notes.
Why are you assuming that it was my wife who spoke to the immigration officer? It was a quote (indicated by the "..") from another Farang.
My 90 day check-in is due on 17th April 2021 and it was only because I am awaiting the unlikely event that the on-line service will be up and running before the end of the week that I didn't report last week. In 20 years, I have never reported later than 5 days after the due date.

Who told you that?
Unless that is a local decision to close on the 16th that is not a holiday and other offices will be open.
Possibly only a local decision but for the sake of a ฿5.00 call it would be prudent to check with your local immigration office.
Online 90 day reporting available from April 1st
