  1. At the risk of sounding cynical, don't trust these people. I was in exactly the same position late last year, i was fortunate as my buddy was with me and he took pics so kept the dosh in his camera case until it was needed. After the ceremony don't waste one moment in getting it back and take it straight to the bank. The longer the inlaws keep it the harder it will be to get it back, no matter how clear you made it that it's only for show. You must get it back ASAP, then you can relax. Just think how it would sour the marriage if the inlaws stole it. If u don't get it back then bail, as the marriage will be doomed anyway.

I doubt a cheque will work, but do it if u can.

    good luck

  5. Here was the wall. It looks small in the photo but it is enough dangerous. Why they did not throw some tires there i do not know. If there were some tires there there were noone at the hospital now.

Yeah, putting some tires there doesn't seem so difficult....not as if they cost anything!!!!

But then who's not gonna ride just because there's not enuf tires on some corners?? Not me.

But it can be a scary corner, every lap it's at the back of my mind that there's no room for error. I wonder what went wrong, just going in too hot i suppose.

  6. If u think u gonna be serious about the track get a full leather suit from somewhere like Paddock. I wasn't sure how much i was gonna get into it, so bought a pair of Alpine Star leather pants and wore my Komine jacket for 12 months. I ended up getting a one piece suit in the end though. You can get knee protectors with a knee slider attached, this is a budget option and perfect until you sure u wanna spend 30K or so on a one piece suit.

  7. Yeah, i agree it was a fun weekend. My buddy and i did it, we loved it. There was a farang instructor and bout 5 thai instructors. We had a thai guy and he was legend, i learnt heaps and he was a cool guy. It's a real social thing, u meet heaps of people at these gigs. We stay in Cha am, about 30k's from the track, good choice of rooms there, swam sat evening after riding all day, can get beers on the beach, eat out, get to know other bike guys. There's a pattaya-like strip in Cha-am which has a good choice of restaurants and bars, if u into that sort of thing that is.

Thats a shame bout that guy who crashed, Last year I highsided an ER6n i had set up for the track, it's a huge confidence killer when u crash. After i bought something with traction control. I feel a lot more confident, its a great machine and worth every satang. Over the weekend I think there was three incidents where the ambulance went out to do whatever they do.

It was well organized: three groups, Red -fast guys; green- intermediate; blue -beginner, we were in the green group. Each group went out in turn, for about 20mins. And if u do the race, you would go out in your assigned group. Pirelli had gas there for sale, just about all the organizers and instructors spoke good english, lots of flagmarshalls, an ambo on standby and everything preceded pretty much according to the program......crazy not to do it. Food and cold drinks available right there also.

KK is a great track, though there's not much run off in the corners. The track is good for watching the racing, you can see just about it all from the pit area. This place is right out in the boondocks, surrounded by rice fields and forest, real nice. I take the wife there, often we the only two at the track, take lunch out with us, string up the hammock, put some music on, its a niiiice day out.

As the racing was beginning looked like it was gonna rain, a few drops came down when i was out but it never rained.

Groups choose grid position from a hat. I got last draw and was #14 of 17, so started towards the end, which was fine with me, it was my first race.

Gotta give Pirelli credit for arranging that weekend, they do heaps to promote the race scene here. Apparently they are trying to organize another trip to ride sepang. As one poster said, a track day like that would cost a motza back home. We real lucky to live in this counrty.

  8. Some pics from our beach ceremony last week. After the stiff affair at her hometown we wanted to do something simple and fun. Did it past pattaya, guests stayed at the B2 hotel and the View did the meal on the beach after the ceremony. Wedding planners in patts arranged everything and we were quite happy with the result. All up it cost about 200k for about 70-80 guests (mostly her crew) including accomodation and we got about 50 back in donations.

  9. Hi there

When i bought my condo a few years ago i was under the impression i could park 2 cars there. Now they a telling me i need to pay 1000B per month to park my wifes car there. Does anyone know anything about juristic rules/law?

I assume there should be some document that details what is and is not allowed in the condo. If the complex suddenly wants tenants to pay for a second car, should this to added to the condo rules/laws? or would there need to be a tenant meeting and the idea voted on in order to be passed and implemented?

    any help appreciated

    cheers
