    It's good to see the UK is ramping up deportations. They're raiding the work places. Do you agree or disagree with these practices or are you concerned having nails done will get more expensive.

    I mentioned already a couple of times that I don't like illegal immigration.

    What I think is somehow funny when farangs here in Thailand complain about illegal immigration back home.

    How many of the farangs in Thailand, and possibly in this forum, are illegal in Thailand? How many have a tourist visa and work illegally?

    How many overstay their visa?

    When Thailand deports people without valid visa then often we have members here complaining how unfair this is.

    But when it happens back home: jail them, deport them, now!

    I have a few question now. Does the IO have the right to force me to book a room on the spot before they let me in? And does the IO have the right to deny me entry into Thailand if I refuse to book a room on the spot? I got really surprised when that IO asked me if I had booked my flight back home yet, though.

    Why didn't you ask her?

    And yet here you are.

    Yes here, in Thailand.

    I can't help it when some people like to discuss the USA on this farangs in Thailand forum.

    And when you discuss it, why should I not laugh about you, the USA, and your stupid new leader?

    I am sure Breitbart has also a forum section. If you want to confirm that you are the best and greatest, then that is probably a great place for you.

    You clearly don't know the UK very well.

    My suggestions to the O/P come directly from one whose mother froze to death in the snow due to the carelessness of a very uncaring care home in the UK.

    It's just one of a number of reasons why I'm in this country, not back there!

    I know a couple of people who had to return to the UK because they run out of money and had medical problems in Thailand.

    They all were taken care of and lived a couple more years.

    Is it perfect? Sure not. But reading above post it seems like this guy can't live alone in Thailand and his "friends" are not able or willing to help him in Thailand.

    What an utter crock of <deleted>, blaming safety concerns on feminine insecurity.

    I can't really help you if you don't understand the "logic" of females.

    And like I wrote above, that is obviously not true for all women. But there are enough of them who have this problem.

    No, but there have been many threads regardig the border and immigration that you have commented on. those comments were against Trump and his policy of stopping it.

    So essentially you were.

    Please find even one comment from me where I said I welcome illegal immigration or illegal immigrants.

    You won't find it because I never wrote it.

    I wrote many comments against Trump. Because he is a narcistic idiot and he did and does many bad things.

    That doesn't mean that he does also sometimes a good thing - i.e. anti DEI.

    Why do you people keep thinking there are huge amounts of Americans looking for maids!!?? It's so strange.

    From

    https://www.perplexity.ai/search/about-how-many-maids-and-nanni-1JZaf.GkTW.tmVW5LRCBMw#0

    In the U.S., the industry of maids, nannies, and gardeners includes over 2 million workers[3]. This encompasses house cleaners, childcare workers, and landscaping/groundskeeping workers[3].

    In 2021, there were:
    *   Approximately 795,590 maids and housekeeping cleaners[3]
    *   Around 494,360 childcare workers[3]

    In 2012, unauthorized immigrants comprised a notable percentage of specific occupations, including maids and housekeeping cleaners (25%)[4]. It's worth noting that domestic workers, regardless of immigration status, experienced significant job losses during the coronavirus pandemic[2]. A survey by the National Domestic Workers Alliance revealed that over 90% of cleaners, nannies, and home care workers lost work early in the pandemic[2]. In Los Angeles, it was estimated that perhaps 70 percent of domestic workers were immigrants who were in the U.S. illegally[6].
