  1. Oh you mean, make up your own version to fit your prejudices? Running off without paying is called bilking. Now, what motive would she have to make that up? She's been ripped off, and I can tell you from my own experience, taking somebody to their chosen destination and have them do a runner can REALLY MESS UP YOUR SHIFT, OK? Have you ever driven a cab? Do you know how difficult people can be? She's done her job. They've basically refused to pay her for it.

  3. No, you don't have to change the SIM every year. You just renew the package if you want. Same number, same SIM.
  4. No problem here in Pratamnak with Chinese or Russians.
  5. I thought I read somewhere the whole COVID thing was an elaborate hoax to get us (the sheeple) to stop using cash and do what we're told and own nothing. Isn't that what the Great Reset, Bill Gates, the WEF and all the other conspirators want? What happened to that theory, and where did the theorists go?
  6. Go back and read the whole article before I start shrieking at you.
  7. The driver explained she could go on a toll road or another route, but they would have to pay the tolls if they chose that route. Perfectly normal practice. The women chose the toll route, then refused to pay the toll. I don't get what the argument is. People who don't bother reading the full article should refrain from clogging up the thread with their ill informed remarks.
  8. I see a report that in the US, a 66 year old man shot and killed a woman who was a passenger in a car that made a wrong turn into his driveway. He claimed he tripped and his gun went off.
  9. Unfortunately not that simple. Beach Rd going south one way tonight Dong Tan to Soi 7. Traffic going north on Beach Rd forced right up Soi 7.
  10. Its started. Beach rd one way south to north. Soi 5 entry from 2nd rd and 7 also from beach rd.
  11. It's started. Beach rd one way and Soi 5 and 7 also.
  12. Yes, my fault I'm afraid. I originally posted it as a reminder for the Jomtien IO. It would be better in another group maybe.
  13. That was always the way in from 2nd Rd, so yes, no change there.
  14. My observation was also posted long before I discovered and read the article, which nobody else had read, regarding the illegality of the steps placement. But I guessed right. So yeah, bingo!
  15. What complete drivel. Who commissions and writes these articles?
  16. You're not keeping up. The steps have to be demolished within 3 days. They're built on public land. The good doctor will sue.
  17. To get to immigration you could go Beach Rd, Soi 7, 2nd Rd, Soi 5
  18. I tried to sign up for revolut in Thailand. They said I couldn't. End of.
  19. Here's some more detail. Tells a very different story. https://thethaiger.com/news/national/swiss-man-denies-assaulting-thai-woman-attributing-incident-as-accident-video
  20. Seems my instincts were right: "The Thalang Administrative Office (TAO) conducted a further investigation at the villa today, February 29. According to the TAO, the steps were constructed on the public beach without permission so they have ordered a real estate developer to remove the steps within three days." Get outta here!
  21. Try again: "The Thalang Administrative Office (TAO) conducted a further investigation at the villa today, February 29. According to the TAO, the steps were constructed on the public beach without permission so they have ordered a real estate developer to remove the steps within three days." You're just full of xxit, aren't you?
  22. Yes. It's almost a certainty: "The Thalang Administrative Office (TAO) conducted a further investigation at the villa today, February 29. According to the TAO, the steps were constructed on the public beach without permission so they have ordered a real estate developer to remove the steps within three days." Bingo! Instinct. Wadda you say Lou? Probable or possible?
  23. But Philippines is rife with scam call centres and offshore gambling sites. No need to travel to Thailand, or Cambodia or Myanmar. I very rarely read about 100s of Pinoy getting rounded up in these raids, bars, call centres, brothels, whatever. They seem to be amongst the cleanest living migrants in Thailand. They work as nannies, teachers, front of house, customer service ops etc etc, mostly because of their highly valued English language skills. But many are extremely pretty and I guess therefore add 1 and 1 and come up with 3. Just chauvinist rubbish.
