i have 2 problems i hope someone can help me with. firstly me and my thai fiancee are planning to live in my mothers house next year in england,but because of a condition my mother has she can't write a covering letter to help my fiancee get her uk visa. (which type of visa to go for we haven't decided on yet) as we could well be married by this time next year.

so, if she can't write a letter by hand what can we do to get around it? also what should be said in the letter?

problem number 2.

i have been an agency worker since 2003 as it suits my needs and allows as much freedom as i can afford to have. anyway basically in a few months i will be jobless again because i'm coming to los for up to 6 months before returning with my girl.

will it be enough if my agency write a letter stating that mr smith has been an employee for 2 years and that work can be found for him upon his return to the uk no problem.

i ask this because its likely that most of my savings will have been spent in los!

i think it has something to do with the whole thai rak thai thing. the men are up each others <deleted> in that respect. tg are so easy to love , them pricks should see the mingers round our way! they would be the ones getting smacked about by the women ! believe you me.

i got a 30 day extension then a 20 day extension in nathon instead of the usual 14 days. it depends on the immigration officers mood and if you look smart and have everything in order. i have seen most people in there looking like they were dressed for a surf rather than attending a goverment office.

so that decent chap saved me 1900 baht because i didn't have to return to pay for a final week extension, he had already given me almost 3 weeks, i can only put it down to his discretion and my tiny bit of effort that i was given in effect a "free" week

to cut a long story short

i made a joke of the spirits when i was in a remote area of koh samui

for the next 12 days i was on deaths doorstep with a mysterious fever

no medication would cure me infact it made me feel worse

my gf suggested that maybe i was ill because i had upset the phi and that i should go back to that place and apologise to the phi for not believing in them and their influence.

so i did what she said and the next morning i was fit as a fiddle again !

i did go back to that place and something even more strange happened but that is another story...

once i wrote all my thai holiday postcards to family and friends when i was steaming drunk. i never cringed so much in my life when i re read them upon my return home. i even drew stupid little smiley faces with the tongue sticking out

i have heard from friends in samui that there are plans for a BIG C super mall with an egv cinema and bowling complex to be built not far from tesco lotus.i for one won't be holding my breath!

last year i was in bkk i got the usual 3 extensions to my tourist visa. 30 days 14 days and then a final 7 days. however this year in koh samui i recieved 30 days and then a final 20 day extension which saved me 1900 baht.

maybe it was because i dressed smartly and had all my documents in order that the immigration officer took a shine to me because the place was crawling with half dressed tattoed scrubbers who had no photocopies or photographs.

was the extension at his discretion or are the rules different in koh samui ?
