Saw a line of 10 Red shirt buses on my way from Bangkok to Korat yesterday. Heard they are paying 1000 baht a head plus meals for the Essan people to join the group in BANGKOK. Are the Essan people that easy to buy??? They cannot think for themselves??????

If you have a bottle of your meds within the same year all you need to do is show it at any hospital and you should have no problems. I saw the doc and told him what I was taking the meds for and he just punched it in. IT WAS CHEAPER AT ST. MARY'S in Korat then the local pharmacy and they were all controlled substances.

The answer is very simple. It is all about who you know, period. I had two accidents one in 1971 while stationed at Ubon RTAFB and the other in Korat. In both cases I was in the right and was hit by a crazy thai. At Ubon I was friends with a Captain in the thai police. I got my motorcycle fixed, no problem. In Korat, I was hit by a thai lady driving a car with no license. Lucky for me the traffic was slow so she did not hurt me, just the bike. This was in 2012. She trird to blame me and had the thai police almost going along with her. My friend, a Colonel in the Thai Air Force came down cause I called him. Lol and behold it was the ladies fault. Got the bike fixed, painted and all is ok. Now am thinking of using my wifes relatives to drive me cause am getting too old and don't want to press my luck. The number of crazy, unlicensed thais has gone way up as has the number of vehicles. I spend 6 months here in Thai and 6 months in Florida. It keeps me sane!!!

Every time I visit Bangkok I go to MBK BURGER KING. I am surprised we have none in Korat. Someone posted about cold food. In Korat the Mc Donalds always makes me fresh fries and a "Hot" double chesse burger. All you have to do is ask.

well it took the air force 8 years to diagnose my post traumatic stress disorder. Xanax was my cure. if I do not take it I would be shut up in my bedroom afraid to experience the world. you have to think of a persons quality of life before making a blanket statement like that

The Thai Air Force was bombing Laos well into the 80's. they might have 12 saab grippen but the main Air force plane is still the American F-16. they are constantly flying from Korat afb which is also the Air Defense center of Thailand.

Thai Airlines is shooting themselves in the foot. When they had the only non-stop flight from L.A> BKK allot of people would pay the extra $3-400 for the flight. It was 7 days a week. Now going thru Inchon, Korea they still charge more than the other airlines and lo and behold their sales have dropped so drastically, that now they only have 4 flights a week. They try and keep saying high and low season while the other airlines could care less. Big mistatke!!

The thai censorship by the government will just produce a "Big Bang" in Bangkok soon. Maybe this will get the worlds attention and cut Thailand at it's money maker-- tourism.

All of you farang should realize that rape still makes national headlines here in Thailand. In your countries rape doesn't even make the local news because it is so common.

Rape is not a common crime in Thailand, nor is assault, it happens the same as everywhere in the world but Thailand is one of the safest countries in the world.

Bull!!! most rapes are not reported in thailand because of the shame/lose face. I have been here before you were born, since 1970, and have seen and heard of thousands of rape cases not just by the rift raft but also by bosses and people higher up on the political scene. most were just shut up or lose ur job or standing in "thai society" can do easy if you have baht!!!!!
