  1. Sorry i have only a vague answer. I've seen a sign in Moon Muang Road Soi 9 which point towards a small art studio. No idea of quality or what they offer though. Or you could check the big art supplies shop near the U.N. Irish pub for flyers/handbills.

  2. I think most of it is covered in Rob & Mesquite's posts. Living costs are farily comparable, with the food options a lot more friendly to the Western diet. You can get a very nice bottle of Australian red for a hell of a lot cheaper then you can here if that's your thing. Your intentions once you get there need to be considered. Are you thinking retirement and/or business? If it all goes balls up for me i would most likely move there. It would be a change up in pace though and involve a lot more traffic.

  3. Not sure about Charlie, but i passed the place that was (his?) Yunee's, and it's been bulldozed/flattened to the ground! I'll have to check again that i wasn't seeing an apparition or something similar.

  4. i know the lady who sells the flowers too.always the same goes around town pushing the flowers.a few years ago where the un irish bar is i saw her get out off a new toyota land cruiser one time.says it all to me.i told her go away and after that she will just avoid me,but push the flowers in other peoples face.

Me too. I've seen her returning from Wararot with the flowers in the daytime and have a feeling she may live close to Loi Kroh.

If it makes ya feel better, i once saw a very drunk acquantance sexy dance with her at a bar! I was pissing myself laughing. She looked slight shocked but still continued to try and sell him the flowers in mid gyration!

  5. Miguels is terrible. I had burrito there and it was super bland. Just plain awful. Both Salsa kitchen and Elvis are miles better.

Everyone has their favorites. I went to Elvis one time. I'll never go back. Food was terrible.

    Same for me as well

I can't comment on the burito's there, but the tacos I had weren't the best. Orange coloured cheese? C'mon!

  6. I have seen a push cart on Tha pae road clalled "Taco Bells" have yet to try it.

It is actually Tacos Bell. Pretty good stuff, his beans actually have seasoning, my only complaint against Miguel's. He is often on Ratviti across from Zoe at night.

Yup that is where I spotted him. His food was delicious! Wish he was more easy to track down.

  7. Update! I ended up buying an Asus from one of the shops on the computer store strip on the North Gate side. All good so far. The place has several stores, and was running a big promotion. After two days of shopping around, it seems that that area is still the place to go.

  8. Yes more than a few of its patrons wound up in the moat, not always by their own choice.

If it's going to be one big room again I really hope they ban smoking in there - unlikely I know.

I would also like to see the retention of those big square box things near the toilets, where one could podium dance the night away to one's hearts content.

  9. Just looking for some clarification regarding the issuing of Thai tourist visa's in KL.

I've seen online reports that KL sometimes requires onward travel information for Thailand before issuing TV's.

I have 3 TV's already from other consulates and am worried I might get knocked back without onward travel information.

Do any board members have advice or experience in this area?

    Much thanks

I don't recall any report of KL asking for a ticket out of the country.

Visa denials reported for KL were for multiple visas issued there.

You should not have a problem getting a single entry tourist visa there with your visa history.

    Cheers. Thanks for the reassurance.
