iam not realy sure what the queue's are like now but when i went with my wife for her settlement visa ,we got there about 6am and the queue was not to bad,

Maybe i posted in the wrong forum ,but iam sure someone will put right if wrong!
I KNOW THEY HAVE MEETINGS IN BANGKOK
I was thinking last year my wife got her settlement visa TO THE UK as did many other people ,and was thinking it might be great if we all got together maybe say around christmas time 2006 say in london,to talk and swop stories etc,and i was woundering if anyone eles would be interested?????
if enough people interested maybe book say a hotel /club
or anyone who would like to talk on msn thai/english???

when my wife applied it took 9 days to get letter from embassy for her interview,so like scouse says if not heard in about 10 days ring them ,but remember they were shut over xmas as well.

Yes you are right If she applying for a settlement visa to the UK, then she does not have to provide proof that she will return to Thailand.
She would have provide proof if she was applying for a vistor visa.

is it a Tourist visas ?????
if so it will be issued on the same day.
if it is a settlement visa ,it also can be issued on the same day.
my wife had her settlement visa interview at 1.30 and got her passport back with her visa at 3.30 same day.

i also would like to take my wife to france ,you say that might get visa for free ,i have looked at the link you say and the site say visa about £22 to £26
am i reading it wrong??????

i was in bangkok 2 weeks ago doing my wifes settlement visa and wanted to make sure everything was right
I also bank online in the uk and recieve my bank statement online ,but to save any problems at the embassy i went to bank and got hard copies and also got them to date and stamp them

like gu22 says There is no template you must do supporting letter from the heart,just tell the truth,because the eco might call you in ,so you will have no problems with the eco if you write the letter from the heart
like gu22 says Simply say when and how you met, how the relationship has developed and why you want her to join you in the UK.

Hi rich,
When we went for settlement visa ,i made a folder with everything neat and tidy and in order,with my sponsor letter at the front followed by all the other relevant paperwork.also did the usaul photocopies and put them in a plastic pocket at the back off the folder for the eco .
And as for dress code for me i went smart and casual (not over the top ) no suit) and wife wore skirt and a top i bought in england.

we need some help please
i would like to take my wife to france and sweeden next year for a few days ,i am arware that she will need a Schengen visa,could some one help us by telling us what we need to do and where to go and any costs involed.
(she has a settlement visa allready)
i have looked on the forum but only found one page and it said that it was free ,(maybe i rear wrong)
so any help would be greatfully accepted

Hi your wife can work in the uk when she gets her settlement visa.
And i was there last week and there was still people paying in cash ,but please check for good ,as iam not sure what they were paying for.

Congratulations Pete. Just out of interest what kind of questions did they ask you? The same type as they asked her? And how long did the whole process take?

they asked me ,my wifes age,date of brith,if i send money,where i work,how much i earn, what we like to do,about my bank,where i live,my job,my kids,
same sort off questions they asked her
