have been a few times before and pay agent and fee on entry
but don't go till 20Feb so will wait to see if they fix website
cheers
I have used www.vietnamvisa.govt.vn last year & last month. Never a problem.
Easy & only takes 2 days (standard)
You just print out the form they send you & fill it in & present it on arrival & they put the visa in your passport.
Even in Oz u can do it this way. I'm based in Thailand & do It this way. Much easier than having to go to the embassy in bkk

I thought that the lottery was "reformed"?
Has there been some back-sliding?
Street prices seem to be back up to 90 baht?
Out in Pathumthani they are asking up to 100 baht.. Thieving pricks

To bad if you have to get out quick I hope the glass breaks easily
They should be the same as the ferry's that do the Donsak - Koh Samui route. No problem if u have vehicle traffic too.
Maybe different if passengers only...

Please come down from your high horse. You are teaching a person who has lived in southeast Asia for 60 years about weather pattern here?
I do not want to waste TV members' time on this "teachable moment" matter anymore. I will not make anymore response after this. Goodnight.
Kopitiam,
Tazly is just an ''expert''. Only a member 4 days & knows everything...
He needs to understand Thainess just like the locals.....

Parked on a side street in Hua Hin last year....no markings, just a Tuk Tuk driver shelter about 10 metres away. came back and a Tuk Tuk is parked close to my front bumper. Reversed back and drove home.....Next morning, flat rear tyre......take to shop and he removed a 4 inch screwdriver blade minus the plastic handle. Obviously jammed under my rear wheel and forced me to reverse onto it.....what do you do.......A few days later went back and parked right next to the shelter, then happily sat in the car for an hour doing the Telegraph crossword while Mrs. AB went about her business.......It was worth it just to see the annoyance on Somchai's face......
Know the feeling. Parked in a vacant spot on the main street in HH last year near the newspaper shop. Went & bought a newspaper. Only stopped for a couple of minutes, then drove off towards Cha-Am. After 5 - 10 minutes, the car started veering to the left. Stopped to check why..??? Front left tyre was flat. When i got it checked, the valve was broken right at the rim.
My only conclusion was that 1 of the a---hole taxi drivers near the newspaper shop didn't like someone taking 1 of their prized parking spots & has walked over and stepped on the valve to teach me a lesson...
Typical mentality of these arrogant a holes.

Sweeping generalisation.
It depends very much on the class of Thai you're hanging out with.
If you're cheek by jowl with peasants, you'll encounter this type of behaviour far more regularly than if you rub shoulders with better-off Thais.
True... I have a hard time trying to pay a bill when out with thai mates.....

Constitution Day is the 10th... The 12th is a govt holiday in lieu of.
Just stock up on the 4th to be safe for the 5th, for the obvious reason.
The 10th no problem

Several years ago I was stopped while driving my car on the Northbound raised section of the Expressway going out of Bangkok. The officer said i had been speeding and they had camera as proof. I asked to see the camera as evidence, as I knew I had been carefully following the speed limit. He then asked for 1,000 baht or go the police station, as my Thai g/f was not wearing her seat belt. I did not want to waste hours in the police station as had a long drive to Udon ahead. So I reluctantly paid him. I didnt know the what the real fine with a ticket would have been,. I later happened to get to know one of the ladies who works in the expressway toll booths. I told her I was going to stop using that expressway and advise all farangs to do the same. She was very concerned this would affect the expressways image. She told me the policeman had asked far too much money, and that if it happened again to please note the number on the side of the policeman''s helmet, (yes there s one on all real cops helmets)! Then report the cops number to the police or the expressway authorities.
Since then I have avoided that section of raised expressway to Don Muang above Vipavadee Rangsit road, and I always go underneath, which has obviously reduced their ticket sales a bit. But to get to the point I want to make, if there is no number on the side of the cops helmet he is a fake cop., which looking at the pics seems to be the case. Remember to take a pic of the side of his helmet for the number, usually in large black numbers on the white helmet. The cop in the bus pics doesn't even seem to have a genuine police helmet! He's a fake
The cop with the speed gun hides just down the exit ramp that goes into the international terminal at Don Muang. Haven't seen them for a while. I just keep left when approaching the exit ramp at 80 km & have never had a problem.
Also another hiding spot is on the ChangWattana expressway. Coming from Nong Nam Wan Rd towards the city, he hides behind the concrete barrier on the left where the entry ramp joins up top.

That's no different than the video in the OP. The slow motion version in fact clearly illustrates that there isn't a motorcycle travelling along the opposite carriageway anywhere near where the minivan crosses. I took a screenshot of the point where the minivan crosses the central reservation and then enlarged the only object which appears to be anywhere near where the vehicle is headed and it doesn't look like a motorcycle to me. If it was then you would be able to see the shape of both wheels as a dark area.
The only other oddity is in the slow motion sequence at 1:41 when somebody in the dashcam vehicle yelps suddenly. But unless the shape at the left hand side of the road at that juncture contains something that makes that person react that way then presumably it was a just late reaction to the accident that just took place and which the dashcam vehicle didn't bother to stop for.
I think you need to get your eyes tested. Hopefully you don't drive too fast in Thailand or anywhere else...

Not really since it seems to have resulted in the death of one of his passengers. Or at least I assume that's the case since there's no mention of either driver dying.
When the van crossed over onto the wrong side of the road, it hit a motorcycle. The rider was killed.

No, Passport will be checked for sure. Bus!!
Obviously you haven't lived or flown much in this country.
In the past 13 years I have only used my thai DL for check in without any problems, same with hotels.
If you don't have a local DL, then of course you don't have any choice but to use your passport.
And airline staff are only looking at the ID page, they aren't immigration officers and couldn't give 2 hoots whether you are on overstay or not...

You can get them at Krung Thai bank branches and also at some of the EXAT offices at the toll booths where they have the top up banners out the front.

typically, and my friend went through this, the GF is being coached by friends, family etc. I don't have a big problem with her looking out for herself or her family as is often very typical. But to just go buy a house, of which you will have basically no legal rights to live in, or sell if you want? One sided contracts rarely are good things. There are so many bad scenarios where you get kicked out of the house, one allegation to the local authorities that you "beat or abused her" and at the very least you are out the property is an example. The suggestion that you buy a condo or lease a condo sounds like a better idea to me. Of course that can be a bit difficult if you are talking really rural country Issan.
The girl is from down south, not Issân. Maybe not as shrewd..!!!
anyone hear about new visa Vietnam
