I think its time for an "international travel warning" to tourist about the very likely risk of being electrocuted in Thailand, anywhere in Thailand, then then they might get off arse and do something, because clearly they dont like travel warnings

Hi Rocketmanbkk, i stayed there in April 2011 and was upgraded to a deluxe room{ for free} and it was great much better than the Amari Boulevade, i ate in the restaurant and it was ok, didnt venture out much because i had an early flight, but the rooms are great and staff are second to none hope this helps, cant remember how much in the taxi, or how far , but it wasnt too expensive

Hi, i had the same problem in April 2011 with Nok Air they would not let me book and pay for my gf to come from Sakon Nakhon to Bkk, because i booked online, paid with visa, but the visa had to be shown to them at the Airport, the only way is to send her the money and book her own flight, its not about the ID card its the way the flight is payed for, she will still need her ID card but thats isnt the issue

Hi Frankpelagic, When i got my 90 day Tourist Visa in march 2011 from the Thai Consulate in Sydney, they would not accept anything by post! it had to be all done in person or a courier, and i used a travel agent to do this for me at a minium cost, they have specialst couriers to do this.
Hope this Helps

Thanks Lopburi3, have you any idea on the cost for visa and stamp at Laos, they have told me that it is perfectly legal, "The paperwork that we provide does not imply that you will be an employee of the company, but specifies that you will be a potential investor in Thailand, with no obligation to actually invest funds during your stay in the country"
