BS. Never rent cars or bikes without full first class coverage that WILL cover your vehicle no matter the guilt question, otherwise you make a plain stupid rental decision. Been there, done that

MOBILE PHONES ATTRACT LIGHTENING
Every Thai knows that, happens even inside the house. Even my wife believes that and disallows phone use during lightening.
My argument "but in Europe..." is countered by "This is Thailand, here is different".
I will never let my wife know that our phones are permanently connected with the network, whether we use them or not... otherwise the no-use-policy will be changed to s switch-off-policy..

Add: stay firm, don't get angry, don't discuss any options or alternatives to getting your money and passport back, don't bother yourself with HIS problem.
AGAIN: make sure your wife has your back and does not kick YOUR balls by discussing options like maybe giving up the deposit for getting your passport back. Thais tend to try and find such innovative solutions for mutual face saving...

Go tomorrow, take your wife for translation and tell him
- if the Thai guy has no money, HE (the rental guy) must contact the insurance company of the bike he rented to you, they will pay (that is, IF he has a proper insurance, but that is not your problem).
- Demand your deposit and passport back, and immediately
- Inform him, that otherwise you will take a lawyer and go again to the police and report him for extortion of money and theft of your passport.
MAKE SURE that you CLEARLY instruct your wife to ONLY translate and NOT discuss ANYTHING ELSE with the guy.
Informing your Embassy comes later, once you have a police report describing the THEFT of the passport.
Another example that you should NEVER leave your passport with a rental company, only a copy. There are enough rental companies that accept passport copies. Been there, done that.

Is it open already? The shops mostly match the description of allowed shops (electronics and telephone), but maybe the building is classified as a shopping mall?
anybody knows?

I also have AIS. The email should include a password hint. For me, it says "ID of the registered person" which is my passport number.

Standard depending on the type of beer is 6 month to 2 years non-cooles shelf life. Of course, if the beer was in a hot warehouse for long time, that will impact the quality.
In the past month, lot of resellers probably had no turnover and I would question the storage quality during this time.
As I still have enough beer, I can wait few more days till the older production has left the resellers warehouse. It's all about planning ????

Same here, daughter coming into M5. So far all we know is the government's plan with online lessons in June and restart in-class from July. School is currently gathering info (who has what computers and what connections), but they themselves don't know nothing about what is available from government to be taught online

Not black magic but Buddhism. For Buddhists, animals are almost (or at least?) as important as people. Dead people are also brought to the temple for burning, so why not do the same with animals and pray for better luck next time...
Remember, this IS a different culture and religion that even after years is difficult to grasp. My wife doesn't let me kill a mouse when I catch one, I have to bring the beast to a far off field and let it go...

Shows that you are an a$$ <deleted> around with girls KNOWING that they need support. Not saying you should give her what she asked for, but little help and sympathy would not kill you

My Aliexpress China order stuck for so long, that I had to cancel it due to expiring purchase protection. The seller sent it off, but it stuck in some EMS warehouse in China.
Aliexpress informed me that I will get refunded within the next 3 weeks.
And with airports still closed and airlines mostly grounded, the chance of packages arriving from anywhere abroad are close to Zero, Null, Nada.

What if I had zero in the bank and put it all into her account?
Btw, I might change my name in a few months on getting Thai citizenship.
Thousands of Thai change their name annually for whatever reason, if only for better luck. You really think amphoes would keep that secret if asked?
And with a bad credit history and maybe a court record, how sure are you to still get the citizenship?

Having said that why not just go tomorrow (Thurs 30th). Then your problem is solved.
OP is absolutely fine to go to immigration on the NEXT working day after the stamped date, if the stamped date falls on a weekend or a public, religious or other holiday where immigration is closed. In such a case, there is NO late fine.

As of right now, Thailand does NOT know civil partnerships, no matter the sex of the persons, only marriages.

Google the name of your wife and see what references you find about her, specially with regards to your company. He might not see her FB anymore but most people have plenty of other references and information in the net

Look at the Maxima plan, B5 Mio coverage and 100% of the fees paid. That is what gives you the security
However, if you choose the Premium or Premium Plus plan in order to save costs, you better don't step into private hospitals like Bangkok Pattaya hospital for any serious surgery. Government hospitals will be your choice for that insured level.

She explained that the ministry will deliver 5.45 million masks to people in Bangkok via Thailand Post, according to the number of people in the house registration book.
And of course all the people living in Bangkok ARE registered in the blue book where they stay... or wait... maybe not? How about people who rent condos and are registered back home somewhere in Isaan?
Here in our village, the municipality employees went from house to house to find out, how many people actually live in the house, I.e. in rented homes. No questions asked about name, ID or Visas, just plain numbers

Not only do I live here since several years, I am also renting from time to time and NEVER rent without having seen the first class RENTAL car / bike insurance but also never leave my passport there. Mostly, I just rent using copies of my Thai DL and Pink ID
