Only idiots buy an expensive phone when you can have a phone that is more than enough powerful for what people are doing with it...

And only retarded countries send to jail someone for a petty theft. We, from civilized countries, are supposed to be smarter.

Happened to a friend of mine in UK, ( he found a wallet ), some 30 years ago, the criminal record is there and always will be followed him for life.

There again UK is fast becoming not civilised country so perhaps you are correct

This must be for a Visitor visa, as 6 days is quick.  What about for a Settlement visa?  Does the same process apply? I think I have read that documents can be scanned (or sent) direct to UKVI in Sheffield, but I don't know if this is a fact.

Just did for the missus for FLR, it seems, if you scan they charge you ( I did not) took the originals to the interview, they scanned, NO CHARGE....... go figure.

Both are possible but it seems if you do the work, they charge extra,,,55555

My understanding is that this is not correct when it comes to assets in Thailand.

According to posts in other threads you still need a lawyer to go to court with the executor for the judge to agree on the validity of the will.

    See post #146

    https://forum.thaivisa.com/topic/447336-will-advice/page/10/

That would be useful, but it is not Probate.

I would most certainly recommend a lawyer to be involved ( once you have found one you can trust) to ensure it goes smoothly This applies in Thailand as in any other country.

  5. Lets get a couple of things ironed out:

Probate only comes into play in essence where there is no will.

Executor is responsible for executing the terms of the will ( it helps when the deceased person makes it clear as to what they want doing with assets - and any debt owed needs to be cleared first )

It is VITALY important that the US will states that it only covers US assets.

Equally that a Thai will states it only applies to Thai assets, failing to do one or either of these will result in the second will superseding the first - be warned.

Do you have a complete list of assets?

Pensions need to be considered, some are transferable and some not, depends on circumstance.

Are there any specific items of "importance" e.g. Aunty Mary's old hat pin, medals from the Boer War, etc which need to go to specific members of the family.

Let this be a lesson to all, Dying intestate causes no problem for the dead, but can create much headache for those they leave behind.

Get your life( Death) sorted out, as it will cause, confusion, delay, and no doubt arguments where assets are involved

Don't know about brands, but you should definitely get a full face helmet. Do a search on this (not helmet manufactuers) but actual injuries, most of them are face injuries.

Concurr, in my youth, I did not, off at 100HPH and 4 lost teeth later.......regrets

  7. OK no pictures, but a question to all you Big Mango riders.

When I lived there in the 90's, just behind MBK, on the stadium side if I remember correctly ( where the car parts shops were) there used to be a bike shop on the corner, when I lived there he had a few old BMW, including one with a sidecar, still there?

Also over where the old International telephone exchange was, on the klong side, there used to be a small shop which had a few old BMW also. The proprietor was an interesting old guy, used to race them in Thailand, some lovely old photos of him in his youth on the wall. Still there?

And for all you Trumpet fans there was a lovely ( I think T120) half way along Soi Rangnam, only used to come out on nice days. Anyone any history on these three things?

Maybe the keen might want to check them out unless anyone can supply any update.
