  1. Park,Park, wherever you may be, you eat dog in your own country. Could have been worse, you could have been a Scouse, then you'd be eating rat in your council house.
  2. Klopp and his "seven year itch" "There is a temptation to see the current travails at Anfield as part of the natural life cycle of a Klopp team" "In Klopp’s seventh season at Mainz they were relegated from the Bundesliga after a stirring period of ascent. In Klopp’s seventh season at Borussia Dortmund there was a dramatic collapse that left them in the relegation zone at Christmas and eventually precipitated his departure from the club" https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/aug/26/klopps-liverpool-is-time-catching-up-with-this-magnificent-red-machine
  3. Not correct. My son changed his name a few weeks after arriving in UK with just a deed poll certificate from the internet and signed by the next door neighbour.
  4. Lots of durian plantations in SiSaKet province. Plenty of tourists visit them. Prices no cheaper than those sold of the back of pick ups in Ubon.
  5. Do the photos have to be glued or stapled to an A4 size paper or just loose? And two copies of each photo?
  6. I wll be applying soon for said extension. Previously I had retirement extensions but have been out of Thailand for a couple of years. I have Ubon Joe's list of requirements, but will call into the office to check, and ask what photos are required. I live a few minutes drive from the Ubon town office. Is it better to go there or to the main office in Sirindorn when applying for the extension?
  7. Are they easier to use than a normal stick welder. I have the idea of letting the wife have a go.
  8. I am like the original poster. Want a welder to do simple jobs. Anybody used a fluxcore welder? Fancy just having a little bit of wire out instead of a 10 inch rod waving around. Another question. Why do the welding machines have a voltage and amp knob? All the ones I have seen at work ie small Unitor, have just a kknob for adjusting amps.
  9. My daughter was 19 years 8 months old and I and the wife had to attend the passport office and countersign the form for a passport renewal.
  10. I replied to a similar query on a different thread a few weeks ago. Son, daughter and daughters boyfriend all entered on expired Thai passports. All taken away to a waiting area. Son and dughter both had valid Thai ID cards and were allowed in. The boyfriend left Thailand when he was 12 and did not have an ID card. Immigration had to call his father and have a copy of the tabienbahn sent to Immibration at the airport. Then he was allowed in. Delay of about 40 mins. So if your wifes ID card has expired, be prepared for difficulties.
  11. My niece works for the Immigration dept in Liverpool. She is working from home, 2 days a week in the office in Bootle. Was told she and the others had to now go to the Liverpool office, far easier to get to, 5 days a week. Complaints to the union followed and now still only does 2 days a week in the office. In Bootle. She was doing the Hong Kong visa applications, now changed to European visas. She has a quota to do. She says she can finish her daily quota by 11am. I suggested she should do more to help clear the big backlog of cases. No, she replied, if they did more than their quota then it would be expected of them all the time.
  12. Any of you City men still got one of these? From City v Valencia friendly just after Taksin bought the club. You lost 1-0
  13. Anybody have details of a good reliable electrician or electrical company in Ubon? My house is about 25 years old and I would like it to be completely rewired with new sockets, wires, earth , breakers, etc. Originally wired by air force electricians, since then bits added over the years. I live in Soi Chayangkun 34,opposite side of the road to Rajavet Hospital.

  15. So, just finished the one day quarantine in Bangkok today. Arrived 22nd. Son, daughter and daughter's boyfriend. All Thai dual citizens with expired Thai passports. Checked in at Manchester airport OK. Clerk checked Thai pass and Thai passport numbers.Never bothered with the passports being expired. Doubt he checked the expiry date. Arrived at BKK . I cleared immigration very quickly. Thais not so. Took about 45 minutes for them to clear immigration. Officer saw the expired passports, the 3 of them taken to one side. Had to show other proof of Thai nationality. My 2 were OK, as they have their Thai ID cards with them. The boyfriend left Thailand when he was 12 and never had a Thai ID card. Immigration phoned his father. Father had to take photo of the Tabianbahn and e-mail it up to Immigration. Then they were let out. Today, me and sone flew to Ubon. At security in Don Muang, where they check bording cards and ID, son was pulled up as he used expired passport. After he showed his Thai ID he was let through.
  16. Burnley have sacked Sean Dyche 8 games before the end of the season. Wonder who will replace him? Bit for for Big Sam to come in. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/apr/15/burnley-sack-sean-dyche-in-midst-of-premier-league-relegation-battle
