  1. I followed this for quite for time and it looks promising, but i know there are a long way from phase 1 to a finished phase 3 study and releasing a product in the end. The results from phase 1 looks very promising.. https://www.investegate.co.uk/bavarian-nordic-a-s/gnw/bavarian-nordic-reports-initial-results-from-first-in-human-trial-of-covid-19-vaccine/20210809060000H0547/ Other interviews with one of their scientists Adam Sander Bertelsen shows they have quite high hopes for this vaccine ABNCoV2. (can't find an english article to link to, because all i can find is in danish. This one in danish if anyone want to use a translator and use it https://dagensmedicin.dk/molekylaer-velcro-er-noeglen-bag-staerkt-immunrespons-i-dansk-covid-19-vaccine/) Their hope is to develop a vaccine that last for life with 1 or 2 shots. They will not be able to compete with the mRNA vaccines because they are so fast to produce/improve fast, but they hope their vaccine will last a lifetime. That could be a game changer if someone developed a vaccine that would last forever against covid 19 no matter what mutation surfaced. There is a long way to go, and they still need funding for the phase 3 study, but i really cross my fingers that someone develop a vaccine that last a lifetime. I really want to get back to a normal life, and if vaccines like this can do the trick, i will be a happy camper. News from their own website and no i don't work for them ???? https://www.bavarian-nordic.com/investor/news/news.aspx?news=6374
  2. Totally understandable that some are sceptics, but in general it's extremely rare that vaccines has side effects that has not yet surfaced. It normally shows within a few months. This one explains a bit. https://www.uab.edu/news/health/item/12143-three-things-to-know-about-the-long-term-side-effects-of-covid-vaccines You have a much higher chance of dying or getting long term side effects from covid 19 than from vaccines. And for the mRNA vaccine technology. Wait a few years and you will see mRNA technology cure certain types of cancer. It's the new kid on the block, mark my word. ????
  3. It's hard to get to 85% in most countries. A few reasons could be: Anti vaxxers who refuse to take a vaccines no matter what. People who are sceptic but want to see the long term side effects from the vaccines. Children under a certain age don't get vaccinated. The last group are not to blaim, but hopefully Thailand don't have to many in cathegory 1 and 2. If they do there is no way they will reach 85%. Here in Denmark we have a hard time even reaching 75% (at 73,2 today) and that's even after we started to vaccinate children between 12-15. Danes over age 50+ are between 85 % - 97% vaccinated in the various age groups, so the problem lies within the younger generations. Why is that? Hopefully Thailand won't have that problem.
  4. 69,115 tested and 7,227 are tested positive. Something tells me this infection are going nowhere. That is some crazy high % of those tested that return positive.
  5. It's not like i can't breathe in the single use masks i used the last year, and i worked many years in Class A sterile enviroment producing insulin, so i'm used to wear masks and full protection gear daily. I just don't want to use mask on my holidays, so staying home until then. We dropped masks in denmark for some time now, except in public transport, but that demand only last 21 days more. Then we can kiss the masks goodbye. All because so many has been vaccinated, because even if we still have between 500-1000 new infections a day, the numbers are low in hospitals and hardly any new deaths. (80 in hospital today across Denmark yesterday and only 12 dead the last 30 days) I hope Thailand speed up their vaccination program, so they too can get back to normal life and it's possible again to return with no restrictions.
  6. It's not that i don't dare to come to Thailand atm, even if they have a high number of infections. I got my 2 shots of Pfizer which should provide enough protection, and even if i get Covid 19, i should have a rather big chance of not getting very sick. I don't want to spend my vacation with so many restrictions and all sorts of hoops to jump through even before arriving at the destination. Hopefully by the end of this year they will have the majority of Thailands population vaccinated, so they can drop all their restrictions and open up as normal again. For example, as long as they have their mandatory masks i'm not returning. I used more than 700 single use masks in the last year in Denmark, so it's not like i refuse to wear masks and used them where it was required. Just don't want to use them on my holiday, because they are a pain in the butt. I still hope to return in Feb 2022, but let's see how things evolve.
  7. This is comedy material in the same Category as Benny Hill and Monty Python. Absolutely hillarious....
