  1. What does it mean when the slope of that line is steeper during the Harris/Biden term than it was during the Trump term? (Which was about the same as it was during the Obama term up until Covid). Speaking of lines on graphs, here's another one that tells a story:
  2. Meaning? Idiot speak. Maybe. Or maybe he's alluding to Harris's choice of venues to do an interview with a channel that usually focuses on <deleted> coaching... I don't know who on her staff made that decision. But Trump needs to send her a gift basket. I'll let you do your own Googling. Hint: You won't find it on CNN or MSDNC. But it's all over the right wing sources. Edit: I see a word was censored. But the initials are the same as Brian Johnson.
  3. Sounds like you have a good thing going. Good to hear.
  4. I don't know of anyone that's against immigration. Properly vetted, knowing who you're letting in, and making sure they won't be going on the dole for life. But that's yesterday's immigration policy. Most of us are against opening the border and letting Venezuela (and before that, Castro) empty their prisons so they can enjoy a nice decrease in violent crime in the home country. Not to mention thousands from Iran, (et al) and other adversarial regimes that may not have the USA's best interest at heart.
  5. I wonder if any of his parties served pizza? 'Cause, that would 'splain a lot...
  6. Which invasions did Biden fail to prevent? Fixed it for you... "Just don't" is hardly a deterrent. Threatening to kill a terrorist leader if a single US soldier was harmed, showing him a satellite photo of his home, then walking out of the meeting. That's a deterrent.
  7. But they're driving tourism $$$ to Thailand and not taking work away from Thai people. Quite the reverse, in fact. I think Thailand is actually encouraging them. Regardless of the disdain we old farts may have for them. The OP specifically mentions selling online, in pretty much the same breath as foreigners working illegally in jobs reserved for Thai nationals. I just don't recall "selling online" being on the list of jobs reserved for Thai nationals.
  8. Certainly that's a statement of fact that requires a link to back it up. I don't recall anyone 'splaining away the rise in autism rates in just the past 25 years. https://www.cdc.gov/autism/data-research/index.html#:~:text=About 1 in 36 children has been identified,CDC's Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network.
  9. It's hard to imagine myself caring less who you voted for.
  10. Absolutely not. They all lie. That's why you have to look at their history, and not the words coming out of their mouths. Trump had 4 years with no Russkie invasion, no Hamas invasion, no rampant inflation, no border mayhem, and... and... Harris/Biden? 3-1/2 year disaster, all around the world.
  11. Sure. But they're paroling millions into the country, with immigration hearing dates scheduled years and years into the future. That's just mean, unless they have a plan to let them stay... They should be turned at the border, not after they have settled in, at a cost of $$trillions to the taxpayers.
  12. Remember that time when a lefty economist got a forecast right? Neither do I.
  13. Gosh. I wonder if you could characterize this as another conspiracy theory turning into a spoiler alert? Turning into an "I told you so"? Edit: The capper's gonna come when they reveal that pizza was served at some of the parties.
  14. Or maybe it was to say thank you for not attacking Ukraine like he did under Obama and Biden. A few pretty unreliable test kits is a small price to pay for peace and avoiding Armageddon.
  15. So what you're saying is that FEMA is so busy doling out money and managing projects for illegals, and they don't have enough staff and resources to properly manage a hurricane response. It doesn't look good for them, no matter how you spin it. Especially with all the DEI and social justice pandering that's hitting all but the MSM, who sit in their command posts and say the residents aren't pissed off. You have to click on the non-MSM sites for the truth. FEMA's main focus has been on equity and illegals, not hiring based on merit and caring for American in need. (Kinda like the Secret Service, and we've all seen how that's working out)
  16. There was no bipartisan support. They had a token Repub on the committee that wrote the bill. When the bill allowed for 5000 illegals a day before action was required at the border, it was DOA. With or without Trump's input. It was mostly about spending money on bringing newcomers in and processing them into voters faster.
  17. I don't recall online sales being on the list of occupations reserved for Thais. Did I miss an update? Of course, it probably requires a WP, but didn't they recently change the law to allow WP holders to moonlight in other jobs? Tough to keep up... I'd sure hate to be a teacher or other legal foreign employee supplementing my income selling Beanie Babies, and get banged up and booted for that... Does anyone really know? No guessing...
  18. If the FBI and MSM hadn't covered up the laptop, there would be someone else sitting in the White House. And you could all be real happy his last term is almost over.
  19. The only time I object is if there's a queue and it takes awhile. But then, I only object to them not having enough staff. The fact that they check receipts doesn't faze me in the least, understanding that it keeps my prices lower by reducing shrinkage. If it didn't reduce the shrink, they wouldn't waste the wages paying them.
  20. So the technology isn't perfect. They missed by a few miles. You won't find me claiming the Dems caused or steered the hurricane, but I have to give them grudging acknowledgement that they don't let a perfectly good catastrophe go to waste. Just like they didn't let Covid go to waste... Kevin McCarthy says Hurricane Helene could lose Trump the 2024 election, asks why no one is doing anything to protect western NC votes. Helene will also allow many voters to circumvent the state’s photo ID requirements. North Carolina law allows voters to fill out a provisional ballot if they are unable to provide an ID due to a “natural disaster” that occurred within 100 days of election day, provided they fill out an affidavit beforehand. Anyone else forecasting a bunch of newcomers flooding in before election day? I'm also forecasting that in-person voting in the affected area will range from a PITA to impossible. Because that's how most Repubs prefer to vote. https://dailycaller.com/2024/10/07/north-carolina-alters-election-rules-after-helene/
  21. If you mean by not attacking Ukraine on Trump's watch, I can live with that. I like peace.
  22. I suspect the story would have a different ending if it was foreigners collecting the fish. And it wouldn't be a happy one. I'm always amused when foreign tourists are banged up just for "disturbing" the same species you'll find for sale in just about any Thai seafood market. Of course, I doubt it's amusing for the divers on holiday, who get fined.
  23. They'd say about the same thing as they did in 1928. And for hundreds of years before that. "That's Florida weather, fer ya."
  24. Rummy explained it. Sleight of hand... To divert attention from $4 Trillion missing Pentagon dollars.
  25. Looking at the WaPo data, and understanding the woefully compacted timescale reminds me of a ScAm article I read on a flight to China in the early 2000's. Their research at the time indicated that the earth was headed into another ice age before agriculture turned that around 2500 years ago. Seems like global warming kept us out of an ice age. Looking at the WaPo graph, it's obvious that climate has changed many times before industrialization. And blaming it on CO2 from industry is just a temporal correlation. The very CO2 that makes modern life possible. Otherwise, billions of us would be freezing in the dark. BTW, ScAm is my new name for Scientific American, since they (for the first time in their 175 year history) came out and endorsed a candidate. That was basement candidate Biden. So much for their scientific powers of deduction, and their credibility.
