Poll showing Trump up 10 points over Biden for 2024 election criticized

It does affect where donor money is aimed. In that regard, it does affect the vote, though not directly. -
Biden, Warning Trump Could ‘Destroy’ Democracy, Moves Past GOP Primary

How's this for a definitive news source? Western Journal, about as fair and balanced as WaPo: Ex-Wikipedia Co-Founder Says Site Hijacked by US Intelligence for 'Info Warfare' By the time of the Trump administration, Wikipedia’s perceived bias had intensified, and Sanger claimed that “no encyclopedia to my knowledge has been as biased as Wikipedia has been.” https://www.westernjournal.com/alert-ex-wikipedia-co-founder-says-site-hijacked-us-intelligence-info-warfare/ -

I can't believe anyone admits to using WaPo and Wikipedia as definitive sources. -

I'm not a big fan of the electoral college given today's tech and the ability to count votes on the day. Used to be, it took weeks to gather up the votes and pony express them where they needed to be... But you play the game according to the rules. Same with football. If touchdowns were only worth 2 points and an extra point kick was worth 7 points, teams would change the way they play. Good teams with good coaching would still win. If the popular vote count was decisive, campaigns would be run very differently. Good candidates with good strategy will still win. -
The first time I spent a week in Thailand this year, I brought 2 pairs of sneakers. I slipped and slid when the tiles were even slightly wet. The sneakers were worn concave at the heel and I was always walking on a cushion of water. I had to walk flat footed and slowly so the heel didn't slide out from under me. The 2nd-6th times, I brought a pair of sneakers and a pair of Decathlon waterproof hiking boots with knobby soles. They're a PITA and too heavy for walking a lot, but they don't slide at all, even when it's wet.

Russell Brand and why the allegations took so long to surface
impulse replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I don't worry about it because I'll never be rich enough to make it worth blackmail or a lawsuit, or influential enough that my enemies will seek out women from my past and pay them to destroy me. Russell Brand and Johnny Depp... They need to worry. So do Rogan, Tate, and a bunch of other guys making waves. -
It's in the Pattaya section... I often think the same thing when I click on a link from off to the right. But I've come close to embarrassing myself enough that I now check to see which section it's posted in.

As a foreigner, are you used to the smell of fish sauce?
impulse replied to DudleySquat's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Which one is it that gives you liver flukes and liver cancer? 'Cause I'd like to avoid those. I'm actually afraid to eat some great looking/smelling street food because I can't tell if they use a commercial bottled sauce (safe, I figure) or their homemade secret formula (dodgy?) -
Please post back and let us know how it works out, for future reference.

She didn't ignore the problem. It's going swimmingly. She's let in 8,000,000 future blue voters and a couple of dozen future red voters. 20+/- states have already decided to allow illegals to have a driver's license. (While they claim it's not voter ID, I have my suspicions) Another year or so of unbridled invasion, and if they direct those midnight flights in the right direction (swing states) we'll never have to worry about a Republican president ever again. Also, Santa Ana, CA (among other cities, towns and counties) is pushing to allow them to vote in local elections. Not to mention 8,000,000 low wage workers for her donors... Can't let those native workers think they can demand a living wage and reasonable bennies... No, she's been the perfect Border Czar. Disaster for most Americans, especially those on the lower end of the skills market who will now have to compete with workers who have never made more than $10 a day in their lives. But great for the Dem Machine and their donors.

Here's another one I don't own, but looks promising: https://www.lazada.co.th/products/xl4015-5a-by-zerobike-i166183335-s203872299.html? Or go to YouTube and look for videos on driving LED's. They may steer you toward PWM controllers, which have become extremely affordable. Here's one that ships from "overseas" I'm sure you could buy one shipped from Thailand. Or go down to Ban Mo electronics market if you're near Bangkok Chinatown. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/pwm-dimming-controller-for-led-lights-i4707402494.html?

Full disclosure, I don't own one of these. And I'd recommend buying the 10A model if you want to power 5A LED's just for a safety factor (and the 10A model is out of stock). But it may provide a place to start. Variable voltage... https://www.lazada.co.th/products/adapter-ac-to-dc-ac-100-240v-dc-3-24v-dc9-24v-dc3-12v-1a-2a-3a-5a-10a-us-plug-i4355067870-s17356178785.html?

You can't say with a straight face that the police reduce crime here. I guess a lot of guys didn't get the irony when I chose 2 of the most oft maligned uses of tax money... Cops and sidewalks. But to answer your question, if there were no cops, no justice system, no courts and no prisons, Thailand would be a quagmire and unlivable. All of those require tax money. And we live under their benefit, Thai or foreigner, whether we pay taxes or not. And I'm not talking about VAT. Even if we "don't get anything for free" (the claim I was responding to), we still get the benefits of a lot of tax spending, just in tolerable living conditions.

Thai health minister backs cannabis ban, citing surge in teen usage
impulse replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Be ethical and compare like for like..... why does one have to be puking at all? Only one would be a scofflaw! Just conjuring up fond memories of my college days when Mai Tai parties were the rage. Inevitably, people would drink too much (myself included) and the "red tide" would roll in. The kampus keystones would turn a blind eye to all the students puking in the front yard, but if they caught even a sniff of skunkweed, they'd search you and your car. If they found even one seed, they'd arrest you. I never thought that was fair, much less good policy. Though my drug of choice was alcohol. -
Evidence of DNA Contamination in Pfizer Vaccine

Pfizer, and 2.53 years and counting. When asked by friends, I have to admit that I don't know whether the symptoms are better, or I'm just getting used to feeling like crap as my new normal. My own feeling is the latter. I can now climb a ladder, which I couldn't do for months and months because my balance was shot. But I don't risk it above changing a ceiling light bulb. No more trimming back the palm trees on the island. Left side of my face is still numb. Some days limited to by my eyes, some days the entire side. -

I stand corrected. I've never seen it happen but I have no reason to doubt your anecdotes about weed driven violence. I wonder if it was pure weed, or fortified with something else? -

Ever see the interview with Joe Rogan and the most elite, richest guy in the world? They needed a fan to keep the smoke away from the camera. And Rogan's no cheap Charlie. I think Rumble paid him $100 million... -

When it was first disclosed that the mRNA doesn't stay local, there was some discussion that the technician doing the injection should aspirate to make sure they didn't hit a vein. I don't recall that happening when I had my 2 Pfizers. (We were queued up out the door and they were doing them fast). Does anyone know if that discussion went anywhere, or was it a red herring? -

It would be interesting to see an analysis of the aggregate problems of alcohol abuse plus weed abuse. I'm sure more people are abusing weed now that it's widely available, but is that in addition to those who abused alcohol, or did weed displace some of the alcohol? Are there more (DUI + weed) driving violations than before or fewer? Is there more (alcohol + weed) fueled violence than before, or less. I neither drink, nor do weed, so I don't have a dog in the fight. But I've never seen a stoner attack someone on the street, while I've seen a lot of drunks do it. Edit: And I hate the idea of someone going to jail for lighting up a doob, while the guy next to him puking up his Mai Tai gets a free pass.- 169 replies

Oops. You got me there. I had my 2nd dose 2.53 years ago, not 2.75. My bad... 2 days later, half of my face went numb, I lost my sense of balance and my energy level went to garbage. Remains that way to this day. So I won't be taking a 3rd dose, thank you very much. -
