I just flew back from BKK to China today with a plane full of Chinese tourists that had to reorganize their goodies in the boarding pass queue to get them onto the plane without getting charged too much for excess baggage. Then they stocked up on airport Duty Free to the point that the overhead bins were completely full. Lots of passengers had to put their bags under the seat in front of them. They were pretty strategic at Duty Free, buying the goodies that they can't find in China. But they shopped and spent like fiends.
