Crime Ex-Air Hostess Claims £1.5M Drug Stitch-Up in Sri Lanka

While that's possible, if they have handlers on both ends, why wouldn't they just use their own bags instead of loading her's? -
I think their decision was based on expedience and not the law. Where's the money in tracking down an unknown rider just to fine her 500 baht?

One of them clearly violated the law. The other one didn't.

Trump ambushes South African president at White House meeting
impulse replied to bannork's topic in Political Soapbox
I beg to differ. He explained to the entire world in very clear terms why he's offering asylum to Afrikaners. With video. -
One of the stable lefty geniuses claimed: Magaman don't give a toss about the constitution except art. 2 guns, guns, guns. Article 2 has very little to do with guns. That's the 2nd Amendment. Article 2 lays out the executive branch, the office of President and his duties. Which includes deportations.

If the focus was on "entertainment" it's a waste of time. He's meeting to discuss and solve issues, not to entertain. -

Except the ones watching only CNN and MSDNC. They were convinced that Biden juggled knives when he was off camera. -

Obama's 3rd term. I was thrilled when Obama was elected, but very disappointed when he got re-elected. He promised transparency, but delivered the opposite. And Team Biden just carried it on.- 30 replies

Eventually, you'll wish you had Bluetooth. Maybe not today, but soon, and for the rest of your life... And a video player I remember when I paid more for a 1.5" screen video player than I pay today for a full feature smartphone with a Full HD screen and beaucoup GB of storage. You don't actually have to put a SIM in it if you don't want a phone. But you get the benefit of the economy of scale. They make gazillions of them and they even sell last years' models at lower than MP3 prices. And you can connect to wifi to download tunes. I could never do that with an MP3 player.

Guilty as charged. And not ashamed at all. I also give up my seat on the BTS and MRT to little kids and old people.

I gave up my rebel without a clue phase long before I started traveling internationally. Nowadays, I spend all my time in China and Thailand and I have no problem conforming to their social norms. I also wear long pants and a collared shirt whenever I'm out in public (except the pool and the beach). Unlike a lot of foreigners, I care what they think of us. If my wearing a mask lets them be more comfortable, I'll wear a mask. It's no skin off my nose.

I think it's more nuanced than that. Taking myself as an example, before Covid, I never wore a mask. I didn't even know where to buy one. While being muzzled for about a year by law, I realized that they were beneficial in circumstances like dusty wind, cottonwood season, sucking diesel fumes, etc. They were a PITA at most times and I was very happy when they rescinded the mandates. Today, I have absolutely zero fear of Covid or flu or the creeping crud. But I still wear a mask occasionally. Partly because they've become ubiquitous. If there's dust in the air, I pull one out. If over half the people around me are wearing masks, I pull one out. When I walk into a hospital (several times a month), I pull one out. And it's not out of fear.
