  1. Even when the "moderators" tried to coach her during the debate, she didn't get it.
  2. Not about Lasik, but I went from glasses to contact lenses years ago. Found myself getting poked in the eye a lot because I was so used to having the protection of glasses. Walking through brush, looking up while trimming the shrubs, that kind of thing.
  3. Call it what you want. It's exploding on the interwebs. Everyone's talking about the Harris/Biden Haitian problem in Springfield. And keep in mind the voters know all politicians lie. That's baked in. They're over it. That's not nearly as bad as the voters finding out cities are being devastated by bad policy.
  4. I was making $20 an hour back in the '80s, non-exempt. (That means I was entitled to overtime pay) The big discussions in the breakroom were whether working the overtime would put us in a higher tax bracket and we'd end up with less in our paychecks. It never worked out that we'd make less for working those hours. But it was common to find out that I wasn't making time and a half ($30), it was more like $15 an hour after taxes. Which sucked. Not much incentive to work those extra hours if that's the case. Then I granulated and got a salaried job, not entitled to overtime. Then, I worked all those extra hours for free, in the vain hope that I'd get promoted faster. Sucked even more, because the good looking blonde guys got all the promotions, no matter how little extra time they put in. Edit: My bad. I got 2 eras in my life conflated. I wasn't making $40 an hour until the late '90s. Doesn't change the gist of the issue. But I confess to changing the numbers to be accurate.
  5. He did. Accidentally, and it's been a slow fuse. But Springfield's migrant problems are exploding on the interwebs because of Trump's "they eat cats" faux pas. He couldn't buy that kind of exposure to the Harris/Biden migrant problems all around the country. Even the MSM are explaining why the 15,000 Haitians are responsible for collapsing the city's schools, their traffic, their violent crime rates, and their housing. But there's no proof they eat cats.
  6. It does if it makes it more economical for those companies to move their manufacturing back to the USA.
  7. That sounds like a Democrat origin fable. Did you know Corn Pop, too? Were you on the bus in Selma, cheering on Rosa Parks?
  8. She found another gear for the debate, when her mic was muted. Looked like she was playing charades. And cheating. She was even mouthing the words.
  9. Maybe a faux pas, maybe not. With the civil war still raging in Haiti, he can't send them there. He's not evil. Maybe they came to the USA by way of Venezuela? Or maybe he mis-spoke. People do that sometimes when they get so happy about things going their way. Who knows? And where's the link that he actually said it? Funny how we need links but you guys can say whatever crap you want. And if there is a link, I want the whole statement. Not 3 carefully curated words.
  10. If you aren't familiar with the expression "rub some dirt on it and get back in the game", you never went to a real American grade school or high school. Unless you went to one of those artsy city schools with no PE coaches.
  11. What tears? Trump's "eating cats" faux pas has gone absolutely berserk on the interwebs, the MSM, and the right wing conspiracy rags. All people are talking about is the Biden/Harris migrant problem in Springfield. He couldn't buy that kind of exposure to the Harris/Biden migrant problem. (See how I changed it up?) Cats and geese are a tiny part of that. Accidentally, he hit a home run. It's been a great few days. And Trump just rubbed some dirt on it and got back in the game.
  12. If the facial expressions were meaningless, why did she make such a big deal of making them? She must have had coaching, and practiced for hours.
  13. And still, the 3 of them beat Trump to a pulp. Fixed it for you.
  14. If someone called 911 to report a stolen ice cream cone and the cops didn't find an ice cream cone, would that mean nobody stole an ice cream cone? It's the same with any food. They may not have evidence to identify a suspect or prosecute, but the 911 call is evidence that 4 guys were walking down the road, each with a goose from the local park. They call that an eyewitness.
  15. Your mic is still muted. Just make stupid faces. Seemed to work for Kamala.
  16. I can't comment on the part I truncated out. I'm not familiar enough with UK politics. I liked your idea (other post) about requiring a place to stay and either money in the bank or a vetted sponsor. I can't imagine dumping a guy with no job, no money, and no place to stay out on the street, then being surprised that he stole some food or money.
  17. That's easier if you live alone. If your family never orders anything COD, it's a no-brainer to decline a COD order. No risk of getting in trouble for declining your daughter's zit cream order before her big date. (Or your wife's, before her big date, but that's another issue) I did my first 2 or 3 Lazada orders COD when they were new and I had no history. Then I did hundreds of orders pre-paid by card. Never a payment issue.
  18. So report it. BTW, the debate didn't include an audience to help either side. You're out of order.
  19. Seeing how easily the three of them manipulated Trump during the debate and led him where they wanted, It's surely not about her that one needs to cringe.. Fixed it for you, kind of like a moderator fact checking you. How do you like it? You think it's fair? BTW, under the debate rules, your mic would be muted right now so you can't respond.
  20. I don't know. I was kind of liking the Trump years, though not the mean tweets. The Biden/Harris years, not so much. It's going to take decades and cost $trillions to fix the damage from rampant unvetted immigration and the Green New Deal. And that's if the Biden term Russian military exercise and Iran shenanigans don't go nuclear. There's no fixing that damage.
  21. You seemed to leave the voters out of the selection process. Just like the Dems did.
  22. The beautiful thing is that, before the debate, nobody had even heard of Springfield Ohio, much less the problems they were having. Had Trump simply mentioned the 15-20,000 Haitians that had caused traffic problems, jammed the healthcare facilities, caused so much trouble in the schools because the kids don't speak English, and on, and on, it would have all been forgotten a few minutes after the debate. Mention eating cats, and Springfield and its migrant problem is all some people can talk about, days later. We know who the mayor is. We know who the gub'ner is. We've heard from the chief of police. Everyone in the country now knows about the 11 year old kid killed in a bus accident by a Haitian migrant. We've heard recordings of 911 calls of geese being snatched out of the park. All of them are calling out the problems that the Biden/Harris open border is causing. Even the never-Trumpers on the MSM can't stop talking about the migrant problem in Ohio. (Though they think it's about cats) And it's going to top the news for awhile. It may have been accidental, but it ended up being a genius move politically.
  23. I'd hope they are letting water out in anticipation...
  24. Doesn't make sense for the employer at time and a half, whether there's income tax or not. Exempting income taxes on overtime can't benefit fat cats, all of whom are exempt. It's a good political move.
  25. You have a nice day, too.
