  1. Ukraine has already lost the war. There is no way they can win back the Donbass and Crimea in a land war without drawing in NATO, and that means WW3. I want the dying to stop and the spending turned from futile fighting and dying, to reconstruction. The sooner the better. I don't celebrate Russia's win. But it's the reality on the ground.
  2. Finally got around to watching the 5 question interview and thought, "Meh". Then I watched a Fox montage of her alleged answers to the 5 questions, and they were, almost verbatim, her answers to different questions during the debate. It's as if she has rehearsed a dozen taking points and that's her answer, no matter what question she's asked. She didn't provide a direct answer to a single one of the 5 questions. Just rambling about her origin story and how much she cherished family. Some referred to it as filibustering... Now for some trolling... How much do you figure it cost to have a silversmith modify the Nova Audio earpieces to look the same as Tiffany ear rings? Close enough to fool someone who wants to be fooled? https://icebachsound.com/
  3. Watched a dozen documentaries over the past month to find out that climate change is blamed for the plagues of Exodus. It's partially responsible for the movement of people that contributed to the Black Death. The Little Ice Age. It's responsible for the decline of the SW USA's Anasazi culture, and probably the Aztecs and the Incas. The Sahara used to be a lush forest before climate changed. And a dozen other pre-industrial human catastrophes. The operative word there being "pre-industrial" I have no doubt that climate change is real, and it will devastate some cultures, and nurture others. But it was happening for millions (billions?) of years before humans even existed. So I'm not in favor of decimating economies to fight it. We may need that money to care for the victims of the natural climate change. Edit: And it may be handy to have that extra plant food in the atmosphere if people need to start cultivating, for example, Greenland.
  4. I was thinking along these lines. I may make different decisions about powering the A/C, water heaters, etc. if I understood how much each one was costing me. Also, to look for any parasitic losses, phantom loads, leaks to ground, etc. https://www.amazon.com/SIEMENS-Smart-Home-Electricity-Monitoring/dp/B0CTTSC7DR
  5. Nice try, no cigar. That wasn't the point you were making as you admitted earlier. Literally, I don't know how I could have been more consistent with those 2 statements.
  6. I love the idea of a smart home. I was starting a project with Sonoff gear in Texas just before I got called back to China on my GF's health issues. So don't take this question as dissing smart homes. I love the concept. Have you noticed anything hinky, as if Google is listening to you and steering you toward advertisements, etc? I see YouTubes where people will talk at home about (for example) kayaks, and the next time they get on their smartphone or PC, they get inundated with kayak ads. Has that happened to you? On the next level, is anyone monitoring their power with the current transformers (CTs) on each leg in the breaker box? I'm wondering if there's any "bestest" system for that?
  7. The point I was making is that the only thing he's been convicted of is a NY state crime. The president can't pardon him there. The federal charges are running off him like water off a duck Springfield goose, due to SCOTUS decisions and conscientious judges... Ask Biden how he feels about Dem Elites... I'd post links to the insider rumors, but they'd be from unapproved sources. The MSM won't cover it until after Nov 6. A curious sort could find them easily enough.
  8. Maybe she's playing 3 dimensional chess. That cat faux pas has everyone in the country talking about what happens to a town as a result of the Harris/Biden open borders. And they're wondering if their town is next to fall. Accidental, sure. Or was it next level genius? I've never seen so many memes come out in such a short time as Trump with cats and geese. Or maybe she is just a bimbo. I don't follow her at all. She's certainly not hard to look at.
  9. Maybe not, but you can bet the farm they'd be investigating Musk or Rogan if they drove that much traffic to the website. Or maybe put them on the terror watchlist, like they did to Tulsi. (If they haven't already for Musk or Rogan. The difference is Musk and Rogan probably don't fly commercial like Gabbard)
  10. Look up lagniappe. It's either a freebee to engender goodwill, or a free sample to advertise D-nee baby wipes. Maybe both. Edit: Of course, that assumes you also got what you ordered. If not, that's a well reported scam.
  11. Good point. I concede that one to you. But the Dem elite won't let Harris pardon Trump, because it's not just about Trump. It's a warning to any outsider not to crap in our mess kit, or we'll destroy you. Biden may pardon Trump, because the Dem elite have nothing they can hold over him. And he's pretty pissed at them. But if Harris is elected, she's got to worry about support from the Dem elite, and a 2nd term. They can throw her under a bus and they'd be just as happy with Walz as their cutout.
  12. Someone is going to vomit out that the difference is that Biden cooperated, completely ignoring the fact that Biden admitted to having classified documents in the basement back in 2017 and didn't "cooperate" until 2022. And then, only under duress. I contend that the real difference is that president Trump had the authority to declassify anything he wanted. Ex-senator Biden wasn't even allowed to have those documents outside the SCIF, much less in his wide open garage.
  13. Has Trump been convicted of any federal charges that the president can pardon him for?
  14. Every president in my lifetime has gotten into a kerfuffle about taking their personal papers when they left the White House. Trump's the only one that's been prosecuted for it. Dismissing the case was the only way the American legal system could work properly.
  15. I think that's on Page 1 of "Lazada for Dummies". If it's not, it should be. Simple, and 100% effective. Nothing to remember. Nothing to spreadsheet.
  16. I appreciate the heads up. Illegitimi non carborundum.
  17. And Harris's policy was MIA. Still.
  18. Maybe he can't afford a VPN. I see a marketing opportunity for spray painting a fake skidmark onto women's panties. Wear those around the mall and look for the guys who are gagging when they stare at their phones.
  19. There were times I was in the middle of a project and had 8 or 10 Lazada orders going at the same time for components. If you live with a wife/GF and/or kids, you can't keep track of what they ordered in your head. I had a simple, 100% effective scheme for not being duped by the COD scam in the OP. I paid by K-Bank card in advance, and it would have been stupid to pay for anything that showed up COD.
  20. As someone said in a post above, biometrics will stop that. Even if they change their names and appearance, their fingerprints are in the system. Unless Sweden is foolish enough not to blacklist them when they cash their $34K check. I don't think the Swedes are fools. Though I could see some lefties demanding they leave the door open so they can enter Sweden to visit their friends and family they left behind. But that's the kind of "compassion" that put them into this mess. I hope they've learned their lesson...
  21. Did you notice the not-so-subtle difference between "Why did you reverse your position?" and "That's not true"? Fox would have asked Harris whether she was lying back then, or is she lying now... (Not really. That's hyperbole. Maybe.)
  22. My point was that the moderators were actually coaching her to talk about things that would help her with the voters. (Why don't you explain to the voters why you have changed your position on fracking?) All they did for Trump was to call him a liar. Like the late term abortion topic. Then they muted his mic.
  23. I agree with most of what you say, but I contend that the employers would find a way to make those jobs attractive if they couldn't fill them with cheap immigrant labor. And that would be good for domestic workers. It would drive up the cost of some products and services, but it would "lift all boats". And it could go a long way to forcing countries to figure out how to help the homeless and the underemployed.
  24. The real question is whether Trump should pardon Biden when the new DOJ rejects the recommendations of the Hur report. And there's no Dem controlled senate standing firmly in the way of impeachment. So far, the Supreme Court is pardoning Trump, and the appeals process will do the rest. He won't need a pardon.
  25. So, no link to the claim...
