  1. Yep hopefully wise will reply to my question about any changes later today. It's particularly worrying to me as I had planned to have my State Pension paid directly to wise soon when it's due.
  2. Come to think of it the transfer I did on Monday was delayed a couple of hours or so.
  3. Me too on AIS that's one less thing to worry about lol..
  4. Well I've just emailed them to find out so I'll report back next week probably..
  5. I did the same with the same result.A friend of mine can apparently access the app with his fingerprint but I have no idea how to set that up.
  6. Just emailed wise asking if the regs. have changed re limits on transfers to Thailand.I'll report their answer when I get it.
  7. I'm pleased to hear the phone option is still there and also you can use skype +44 191218777 as I will be making my claim shortly.Thanks.
  8. https://www.gov.uk/state-pension-if-you-retire-abroad According to this it is still possible to claim by telephone..
  9. Another hassle (sigh!) I'll probably install the HMRC app. later as I like to do semi regular checks all is ok.Luckily my last voluntary NI payment was showing last time I looked.
  10. Beginning to doubt it is an AIS problem as my second number is receiving other messages so it looks like a HMRC issue.
  11. That's terrible tho' I'm not surprised I made a payment in July and it only showed up 2 weeks ago...Complete shambles.
  12. Thanks so it's not just me then my phone is AIS also.
  13. Hi guys Has anyone had problems recently signing into their UK HMRC personal tax accounts online using government gateway?I have tried twice today and not received an access code on both designated phone numbers either time and the messages sent to me by email when I reported this are clear as mud.Maybe I need to use the Verify method but I am unsure where to start.Any advice would be appreciated.
  14. Mine is working for now but I have taken the tip of the OP and saved all the pages so thank you.
  15. So if as suggested this is all about cracking down on people working online illegally in Thailand and after paypal the spotlight moves to wise and other money transfer vehicles why stop there and not include all banks globally? After all you can have clients pay renumeration into any account you hold anywhere surely?
  16. You have a wise borderless account and send it to your thai bank account..sometimes it arrives in 4 seconds.
  17. All these changes do is make life difficult for people doing nothing wrong.People working illegally are already one step ahead.I am a retiree who has a pension paid onto a wise borderless account which is very convenient and I was planning to do the same with my state pension due next year. Now everything is up in the air!
  18. You're not kidding...just think about all those whose retirement extensions are based on 65k monthly income..not to mention those who have pensions paid into borderless accounts.Total havoc.
  19. According to the doomsayers Wise is next.If that is true I can't see why it wouldn't be in the same boat already with lots of others if they are not in step with Thai government regs. What is more likely IMO is that they are in step and the authorities are happy with them to continue as before. We shall see.
  20. I sure hope this doesn't effect Wise as I currently get my private pension sent there and was planning to get my UK state pension sent there soon when I reach retirement age which I now have to reconsider.I'm sure there are thousands of expats in this position.
  21. It's a poor show for UK pensioners many of whom may be depending on their money.
