    There is nothing new under the sun, 25 years ago these phenomena were already there on Phuket. But it is bound to get worse when you look at all this clearcutting on the mountains resulting in water getting free rein everywhere. But Thais and solutions.....pppffff.

    The issue is not whether spelling police are in play but many people forget that there are plenty of non-native speakers who apart from reasonable English often do not understand slang and abbreviations....including myself.

    You also see it with the Makro, Lotus, Carrefour, all taken over by the same companies, competition is eliminated, the same high prices everywhere.

    Did it myself once, 25 years ago also on Pattaya, must not think about it now. Anyway, you were lucky.

    You don't have to be happy about that, they consume a huge amount of water to cool with the result that it is quite possible that local residents will run out of water or at least short of it.

    I learnt during driving lessons that you should always keep enough braking distance, it's all so simple, but yes that was almost 60 years ago, apparently there are different rules today. That reminds me last Sunday on the Phetkasem Road from BKK towards Hua-Hin, there are stretches there where you are allowed to drive 120km/h, which I was driving at the time, and then someone goes and hangs behind you 5 metres away....that's what I mean.

    So, it is better to design a new tram but without batteries. If I may give a tip, there is no need to reinvent the wheel, mind you. There are many companies in the world that have been manufacturing perfect trams since ages.

    In part I agree with you but you have to realise that Thai ladies can also get the blood under your nails, they are not all sweethearts.

    "Tourism and Sports Minister Sermsak Pongpanich, alongside other ministry officials, recently inspected businesses, restaurants, and hotels in Yaowarat" Glad they checked that, but did they also look at the prices,which in some restaurants are ridiculously high, like 200 thb for a simple Khao Man Kai. I understand there is little the inspectors can do about that but it would be nice if those were normal and affordable.

    That is a wrong assumption, only the southernmost part of thailand belonged to Malaysia more than 100 years ago. I don't see when the orriginal part is returned, Malaysia claims more later.

    That's nice money then, after all, for that amount you don't have to send it back in most cases, but you do get your money back.

    To be honest, I believe it would be better to give that piece of land BACK to Malaysia. Although you can never be sure with Muslims, it will bring more peace.

    Or, instead of a skinny driver and co-driver a fat driver and his wife visiting KFC daily. That keeps things balanced.
