The sex-industry that actually caters to sex- tourists, is probably below 5% of the whole sex- industry, which absolutely and mainly caters to Thai- men!Thailand is known as sex tourism which is tourist travel to Thailand to engage in sexual activity particularly with prostitutes. The truth is many Thais parents are selling their daughter into prostitution or they allowed their daughter to do that. The best thing to do is to educate the parents first. The government should have a program to persuade parents not to sell them into prostitution to counsel parents it is wrong to sell their own flesh and blood. Some parents are ashamed to admit they sold their daughter to work as prostitute and insist they thought the girls were going to work as waitresses.
In this scenario the girls are not aware to their virginity they think that its okay to do sex at early age. Sad but true. How they can stop the early pregnancy if they will continue allowing the teenagers to do that.Parents play a vital role in the society. Parents strengths and optimism can be asset for their children. Ultimately, children are mirrored reflection of the life lived by their parents. If parents have a particular set of negative attitude, weaknesses, or negative habitual acts, then the children will develop such negative behaviors are increased. But if parents have developed positive habits, self talk and perceivable strengths, their children are placed in an advantageous position to develop self esteem.
What Thailand needs is to a) accept, that prostitution on all levels is actually happening (I have an elder female colleague, who basically negates the existence of Patpong...although or office is at the corner of Patpong 1) and b ) a concentrated effort of schools and the government to educate children about sex. Which needs c) the general willingness to accept that sex exists, in the real world and that teen pregnancy from neighbors/ uncles/fathers etc bonking your underaged daughter actually is a problem!
Good luck with that!
Of course sex exists, but women here should understand that they can't do sex to all men what I'm trying to emphasize is try to reserve themselves to the right man or for the man they love. The problem here is their attitude most teenagers are very eager to do sex without thinking the outcome. Many students don't even know how to sit properly or they don't care even their classmates (boys) can touch their body. The most shocking is after talking sex they will not attend the class in the afternoon and they will go to motel. That's why I said earlier that parents should teach their children how to act properly and how to take care themselves.
...ahm...yeah...and some don't even say prayers before having a meal!

I only know the O'Reilleys (they have changed their name now...but I don't know, to what) at the corner Sala Deang/ Thaniya.
They have some music from time to time, as has the Molly's at Soi Convent.
Mark: live- music...not IRISH live music

So much for "education" in this country!
-
You don't need to rethink sex-education, if you actually never really thought about it, in the first place...

Let's review the OP again, shall we?!
Where -in the whole article- does it say, that the heckler was actually referring to PTP?
When the DEMS want to boycott the election...and that guy just might be a DEMS-voter...do they respect his vote?
When he says "How can you expect to reform the country,, if you can not even reform yourself?"...how does that automatically make him a PTP -supporter?
Maybe he is one of the few who is thinking critically about his "own" people.
Which also makes his "why didn't you..."- comment logical.
...and stating that he is "the people" makes him red?
No...it makes him a thinking human being!
So how come, this guy is deemed a red-shirt supporter?

Typical redshirt behaviour. At least they are predictable, so be prepared for undemocratic acts
Okay...I'll bite...
You mean like "taking away the voting rights of the uneducated"?
...oh...wait....

Let me guess: he is a long-time Thaksin supporter...red-shirt activist...loyal to Yinluck.....
Maybe...but he has got a point!

Corruption costs the country Bt300 bn every year, claims Abhisit
Hataikarn Treesuwan
The Nation
Suthep Thaugsuban, leader of the anti-government People
The Democrat Party yesterday unveiled its anti-corruption proposal as part of its national reform blueprint.
BANGKOK: -- Democrat leader Abhisit Vejjajiva said corruption is costing Thailand Bt300 billion per year, or 2 per cent of gross domestic product. With that amount of money, the country could build 30 Parliament Houses, 201 BTS stations, or 5,100 large secondary schools, he said.
The party yesterday held a press conference to announce its blueprint for national reform after it decided to boycott the February 2 election and spend time considering the reform measures.
Abhisit declared the anti-corruption mechanism as the first point in a seven-point national reform blueprint. He said the proposal has 20 measures.
For example, laws should be amended so that corruption cases have no statute of limitations, National Anti-Corruption Commission investigations should be increased, and so too the role of the Office of the State Audit and the Auditor-General. Moreover, there should be retroactive examination of politicians' and senior government officials' tax payments.
Laws should be amended to control the government's use of advertising budget, and judicial officers should be banned from sitting on state-enterprises' boards of directors, the party's proposal said.
Information related to state enterprises should be transparent in the same way as listed companies. The party also proposed setting up a fund to support civil movements against corruption.
While Abhisit was speaking, a man who declined to be named blew a whistle at him. "I respect my vote. Please stop creating political speeches because your party [the Democrat Party] has never won an election," the man said. Abhisit replied by saying "Thank you", before the Democrats’ supporters took the protesting man out of the room.

Yeah, Einstein, right!
That's ok for the Yingluck apologists as they'll just denigrate students (as we see on this thread), government workers, civil servants, etc. etc.The many comments on here about the "amart" and the "elite" are shot out of the water now.
The rubber farmers, the students, government workers, civil servants, many workers organisations and unions and now rice farmers are all on the offensive with the government
And you really believe that for any of the above mentioned, life will significantly change after the "reforms" that they are pushing!?
Reforms, of which nobody knows what they will be, how they will be implemented...just Suthep telling the gullible "we tell you later"!
Mind you: the "amart" in this country are real!
They are not some dreamed up group like the "illuminati"...
This "fight" is not about "reform" it is not against "corruption" it is not even about Thaksin!
It about an old elite, seeing their god given rights and their power, given to them through birth- rights, fade away!
But you dream on about "reforms". if that floats your boat!
So after denigrating students, comes denigrating posters. Thanks for proving the only point i made in my post.
As for amart, i have repeatedly asked for them to be specifically named.
Will you do so or continue the obfuscating non-answers?
a) I am not denigrating anyone per se!
b ) Name them! Aha...yeah...sure! But here is a hint: remember a certain funeral back in 2008?
'nuff said!
Make of it what you will, but if you think, there is nothing going on behind the curtain...you are as dumb as a brick!

Isaac Aslimav said "Violence is the last resort of the incompetent."
This has gotten out of hand on both sides. Thai people deserve better than this.
No, actually this is exactly what a culture of "mai pen rai" and "you think too mut, you talk too mut" deserves!
This and nothing else!

"He lashed out at Justice Minister Chaikasem Nitisiri for threatening to take legal action against protesters who take to the streets to occupy the capital."
The Reds did it in 2010, so we have to be allowed to do it in 2014, although we heavily complained back in 2010, that no one was taking legal actions against...oh, what the f@#$....

That is exactly wrong: if this is "the last fight for reform", these students are just gullible sheep!
