  1. At least it's an improvement over the way red thugs express their opinions, in which they resort to grenade throwing and burning down shopping malls.

Suthep's groupies on Thaivisa are becoming increasingly desperate as they try to change the subject to "red thugs" on every thread to deflect attention from his embarrassing behaviour.

I think Suthep gets his point well through without having to resort to violence, of course this not always to the satisfaction of his opponents who like to call it an embarrassment, but I have never seen so many people in a demonstration seemingly wanting to get embarrassed.

...and...ahm...what "point" would that be, exactly?

  2. there are still 2 airports in bangkok, and several in the south, to be taken over, to prove to the international public, how lawless and backward country thailand has become.

    bye bye high tourist season.

only desperados as we are going to stay in thailand, hoping for $=40b, e=50b, gbp=73b, as in the old, good days

You can thank one man in Dubai for the lawlessness and backwardness here. If not for his spiteful and megalomaniacal grip on power, this place could be so much better....Yes, yes, I know it was screwed up before he came in but he made it far more so and the huge divisions we see now are all due to the fugutive's efforts...

Ahm...yeah right...you are aware, that there was a "Thailand" even before Thaksin, the root of all evil, was even born, don't you?!

  3. The royal Suthep guards are nothing but uneducated thugs who can't even understand what the protest is all about.

You telling us that the protesters don't know what the protests are about?

Or is it another of your uneducated guesses??

I know many, who join the protests- believe me, when I say, most of them are oblivious to everything, except throwing a tantrum, when the name Thaksin comes up.

    Trolling trolling trolling, Rawhiiiide !!!!!

    Care to elaborate?

  4. It's same the world over. Foreigner will be blamed for everything. In France and Italy the North African in Germany the east European in the US the Mexican and so on. I think that most of the foreigner are a mixture of red and yellow a bright Orange you may call it. Is a democratic right to have the freedom of speech and if any foreigner makes comment as long it is not against law and order than what? The picture outside of Thailand of the present situation is not pictured by the Farangs but the action of your Leaders on both sides of the aisle. S. who makes comments up to death treats to other Thais or Y. which was in the past acting to safeguard more or less the own interest. Put up a strong parliament with a strong opposition and not with some "I can't win MPs" Get over it the problems are created by Thais and also have to be solved by Thai.

But only in Thailand, every foreigner who ever came here is to be blamed!

I think what this guy is saying is neither xenophobic nor biased against all foreigners. What he is saying is why are the foreigners

supporting corruption? This government is corrupt. It does not represent the Thai people fairly. He is not trying to take away votes

from the poor people but rather give them the vote. Vote buying and voter fraud take away votes, plain and simple.

To think that Taksin has been good for the foreigners is pretty much a joke, unless of course the 30 visa runs to his casinos, an exit tax etc is a plus.

The question that needs to be asked, without insinuating there are no educated Thais etc, why are there foreigners supporting

the totally corrupt government? He does have a point, and if you are contributing to undermining the forming of a real "republic" where

the people, all people are fairly represented, what are you doing and why?

Why isn't he asking: why do all Thais are supporting corruption? As we know, almost 70% are okay with corruption, as long as they benefit from it. Almost all do it, because "it keeps the wheels rolling (faster)"...so...a handfull of longnoses is the problem, this country has?

He should Google "self awareness" - maybe that'll help!

Well it is real easy to say 70% of the Thais support corruption. I can say lots of meaningless things. Would you care to give us the percentage of Thais who know and understand the depth of the corruption.

That would mean understanding how much money is coming out of their pocket when 350 billion baht set aside foe water management disappears.

Now that would be a meaningful percentage. But it would sure rain on your parade.

    No, clever man- it wouldn't!

They don't understand the depth of corruption- true!

That is why Suthep - of all the corrupt politicians out there one of the worst- is leading a protest against corruption (among many many things) and so many sheep follow!

There was a poll a few months ago (I can not be @rsed to google it now) where around 70 % of the Thai population stated, that they are okay with corruption, as long as they benefit from it.

They want to end corruption, my behind!

They want to end corruption of people they don't agree with...they want "their" corruption still in place!

It was like this, it is like this...it will always be like this!

    They made their bed!

  6. a) if you want someone to report "the truth", get rid of laws that prohibit telling the whole truth!

    B) let me guess, guy-whos-name-I-already- forgot in the OP: you are a Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool etc. -fan? Yeah...farang bad! Thai good!

    c) you don't need farang? I guess you wanna marry all the Isan bargirls and support their families on your own, huh?!

    ...what a tool...

  7. Why is everybody so excited about that woman: she is only saying, what she and her likes think.

The uneducated peasants are good enough to buy her products (and make her richer by the second) but too stupid to know anything.

So keep your head down, wai and drink beer, but don't get any idea about voting or rising from the dirt!

Nothing to see here- just move on!

  8. You lot clearly do not have a clue.....

This is all about change, and you all seem to be loving the pessimism.

Why can't you all be optimistic for once? Instead of making it look like Thailand is flogging a dead horse!

That is what makes me angry with the Thai farang, they have such a low opinion of Thais that they think that anything optimistic is impossible.

This country could be on the verge of a fantastic change, and I for one and going to support it and give them all the support they need.

I am not naive, and I am no newbie to Thailand. The tinted specs came off long ago.

But I do recognize a good roadmap when I see it, and this one has absolutely no flaws, although there could be additions to it. But it will be rejected by the Thaksin orientated PTP because it is too fair. But then again, how long do the PTP have left??

    Not long me thinks.

...aren't you the dude, who almost absolutely and uncritical cheers everything that Suthep does?

  9. Tamils had an advanced civilization with arts and language when Britons ancestors were hoveled in dirty pits wearing animal skins grunting at each other.

To each their own, but except from getting the Beatles so stoned, they created "Sgt. Pepper"...what did they ever contribute to modern music?
