I did a 'Thai WILL' last year, just seen this thread so thought i'd post this link: as it has some good info from @khunPer just to add, what i did was in addition to making my written 'Thai WILL' ....I made a video explaining it, wife has the video on a flash-drive in a safe place.

UPDATE: NO issues! I will say when i showed the check-in woman my Non-Imm O Thai visa, she was thorough imputing the details in the computer... However, the BIG shock came when i arrive in swampy, the IO after attempting to input the details of visa, said you have not completed the: Thailand Digital Arrival Card ...sent me down stairs to do it! ffs, i didn't know anything about this (as i do not spend a lot of time on this forum), also Thai embassy or airline did NOT inform me about doing this (TDAC) prior to departure ...boy was i pissed off, only good thing was ...that NOT that many tourists queuing in immigration so I could get back quickly! "...64.6% decline in Q3 net profit from the previous year" NO surprise ...in fact i was hoping to hear this because there tickets are a rip-off now! the last 3 years my LHR BKK 1 year open return ticket was around £780...i always book early AND this summer there was never any deals going, tickets are around £1000 sometimes £997 lol! have booked on a Chinese airline 1-way (2 hr transit) for £305 which has better reviews that TG! Its the same aircraft and the food looks even better than TG, which has gone down hill, just absolute rubbish! ...looking forward to my CZ flight next week BTW, Just checked on TG site and the 1 year open return ticket for any day next week is now...DRUM ROLL....DRUM ROLL... ....£1,265!

this is an interesting point...it must of been around 20 yrs ago, AND Thailand at that time clapped down on folks with 1 way tickets,(happen to 2 friends they were made to purchase return tickets!) anyways... i had a 1 way around this time and the checkin clerk would NOT let me on...however after showing my STAMPED Thai Non-immigrant visa in passport, they let me on! edit to add: re "For peace of mind have WiFi access and if any nonsense from airline. Step away from counter and book a "rent a ticket" (won't be necessary) " i only have internet access at home...hopefully the bolded part will be right!

@Evil Penevil was about to email customer service at China Southern Airlines and ask, however the below thread caught my attention, saving you reading it ...basiclly....OP emailed to ask: "internal combustion engine in checked hold baggage would be OK." got a YES from both UK airport /airline .... Hi Guys, I'm looking to book soon, TG is a rip off now, same return ticket last year (£789) now a grand!!! I can get China Southern Airlines for £300 - return to UK on GF or others for around £400 My question is are there any issues with arriving on a 0NE-WAY Ticket at Suvarnabhumi recently? A bit of info, been doing this snowBird trip for many years i stay 5 months, then returned to the UK for 7 months. Arrive on "O" marriage visa. NEVER been asked for my ticket when arriving at BKK airport... My main concern is boarding on a 1-way from the UK?! Thanks for any info, much appreciated!

@khunPer Thanks for posting the above, I have read all the pages you posted, yes makes sense now. The wife is going to give the Amphur office where our marriage is registered a call to ask if they are okay about doing: "A Civil Documented WILL" ...I'll report back the results.

Interesting... its states in regards to foreign WILLS: "Authenticated WILLS that have been written outside of Thailand may be accepted in Thai courts, but must be translated into Thai." Hmm... @NoDisplayName I think in your case, if you do NOT have children in Thailand then my understanding is... (no Thai WILL, but legally married) EVERYTHING automatically goes to your Thai wife.

Don't know if this is replying at me - if so check below* *NOTE: I have a detailed full 'UK WILL' written at UK solicitors law firm, which both my wife AND daughter are beneficiaries of, the reason i didn't mention the Thai bank account to my UK solicitor back then was because I assumed my Thai cash would automatically go to my wife. [ I only recently discovered: when wife goes to the Thai court, the court will ask if i have any children in Thailand, if i do then my cash is divided or worst all given to my daughter? ] SO...surely in my case a simple one page Thai WILL stating (cash, my ONLY Thai asset) all the funds in my Thai bank account to go to my wife as sole beneficiary, 2 Witnesses present at the Amphur office (where our marriage was registered) all parties sign & date ...would suffice? I recently popped in 7 to pick up a 20B coconut lip balm, whist their added a couple of bags of peanuts, when i paid the SMILING STUNNER girl to my surprise put all in a free bag... when i got home and opened the bag ...the silly cow forgot to put the 20B coconut lip balm in!!! STILL 20B ...for a nice looking SMILING Fox!
