  4. i love kfc me - great value and tasty and the best BBQ sauce i just wish they would bring back the ribs
  5. why do old threads keep getting posted on the email newsletter? wouldnt it be better to post them when they are recent, and only once oi know this one is only a few days old, but there was one the other day that was 10 years old! is the number of new threads being started in decline?
  6. i did it out of my bedroom window a few years back and dislocated my shoulder.... i was in agony. luckily i live on the ground floor, but still hit the ground like a sack of spuds and woke up in the garden wondering what the ....
  7. why post a ten year old thread on todays email newsletter?! i read the OP thinking it was current news..... luckily i read the date, eventually a bit misleading guys
  8. a nut rub is seldom for free
  9. needs to look at its trash problem. there's a lot of litter on the floor
  10. did this happen after the toll booth? something similar happened to us near one of the big bridges in bangkok, and i read it happened to many others at that same place. car stops at booth, pays their toll fee, gets clocked by someone and then pursued.....
  11. i am more of a QR code
  12. my wife got shoes sent the other day..... we asked the delivery guy if we could open the box..... there was some sports shoes in the box, the type she would never order. plus she pre pays all her orders. they wanted 350 baht for the shoes, but it was obviously a scam. a bit worrying as they had her name and address
  13. i attempted garden electrics for lights etc, before solar lights and received a few shocks from these. luckily a good safety cut box in the house ensured the shock was only very small. it is essential to have a good safety cut box in the house when it comes to electrics
  14. we drove past a PEA transformer in the street the other day, and as we were alongside it, it exploded with an explosion like a big bomb!! a big flash and a huge noise! luckily we were in the car, but the shock had us both shaking for a few minutes. very scary
  15. very scary what they can do now with technology - no wonder they manage to fool so many people and then they put some of that money back in to inventing more advanced schemes something needs to be done to stop it, and soon
  16. i see fire flys here in hua hin - they sometimes manage to get into the house at night, which is cool πŸ™‚ not sure about glow worms tho - what are they? i once saw the fluorescent plankton type stuff in the surf on chaweng beach - that was amazing!!
  17. the last time i bought on facebook i asked for cash on delivery. the seller said he knew nothing about it, but he spoke to the courier, and they said they could offer it for 150 baht, which i offered to pay. transaction ended up being smooth and the item was a bargain πŸ™‚
  18. the banks need to help vulnerable people more...... this guy has his life savings sitting there, probably for a long time, and he is 74. the bank knows both of these things. he then suddenly wants to move the entire amount to another bank account, in a different name. surely an algorithm could flag up that this was potentially a scam, and the bank manager could put the transfer on hold until it was double checked. it is in the banks interest too to protect its customers
  19. if they are pushy and beautiful and tall, good chance they are a lady boy but as stated already, ask them.... they will normally tell you the truth, and then if you do make a mistake, it's not on you πŸ˜„
  20. i have seen better rants from the ex mrs!!
  21. i did a small speech last year at our wedding, and did it in thai. i got a few laughs in the right places, so some of it must have been understood by some πŸ™‚ i wrote mine down in phonetic, and read it from my paper on stage i am not sure you need to learn how to read thai quite yet. just write what you want to say in english, get it translated, write it in phonetic, practice it to someone and see if they can follow what you're saying.... repeat, repeat good luck. i was really pleased i did mine, but as always, a good wedding speech is always quite short
  22. yea dont squirt water into your ear. i got infection from doing this in the shower best way i have found is the ear doc, and her little suction pump that sucks it all out. it can be a little painful, but it is the best way of clearing everything out. only about 600 baht for both ears IIRC in hua hin
  23. uk news still covers covid
  24. it just made my nose throb
