  1. are many places selling beers over in patts?  here in hua hin there are a fair few places we can go, but still quite low key

definitely seems that the powers that be are easing up a bit on being so strict on beer sales

    That's correct.

Keep in mind that someone obtaining an STV now, will hopefully be in a different situation in 9 months time. Meaning if some land borders are open at that time, the opportunity to exit and reenter would be possible

oh yea, remember that STV are 9 months now, so you have plenty of time if you cant / dont want to swap to ed visa

  3. i am sure my school has not been issuing new ed visas for a long time now, as they were not allowed

maybe it would be good to contact a couple more schools and see if they are able to issue visas.  if they all tell you they can issue them now, then you could be pretty sure that they are available again

it wont be great if the koh samui school apply for you and then you get knocked back

  4. i think my first shot is in a computer system somewhere because i had the vax in bangkok, then a few weeks later my Mor Prom queue number in hua hin came up, and they emailed me to say that it was my turn in the queue, but i could not get the vaccine as they were aware i had already had first shot in BKK

It is nice to know they have some sort of central computer system going on

  5. good work crossy.  an interesting subject that i feel i should learn more about..........

we live in hua hin (often sunny), have a 4 bedroom villa with no trees around (so plenty of sun falls onto the roof) and have an average electric bill of 2000 / month (we dont use AC much).  We are connected to the grid through a 3 phase system, that feeds our small moo baan.

which system would be best for us and how much would it cost?

how many years of usage do you think it would take before we recouped our initial investment?

do systems go wrong much, and therefore need a lot of fixing?

we have had some cheap solar lights in the garden for a year or two and i have been impressed with their reliability and power

great topic mate - and thanks in advance if you can offer any guidance
