Your bank in your home country will demand to know where you are tax resident. If you still have an address in your home country you will be treated as a tax resident in your home country. If you have changed your address to abroad they will ask you where you are tax resident. You will probably have to prove it with documents or TIN number.

Hope so too! If this is for real, more info will probably come tomorrow when businesses open. Here is a link to where it was found. https://www.facebook.com/groups/bydsealthailand/?ref=share&mibextid=WiMSqg

Just talked with Volvo Pattaya. Ex30 can be seen there end of this month. Delivery time March next year No curtain under sunroof, they put film. It Is not possible to order the AWD without sunroof Glass must get burning hot and radiate to your head No V2L Not possible to get HUD . I guess this breaks the deal for me . Waiting for the seal.

My candidates for first electric car is ex30 and seal (AWD versions) because I am excited about the power and amazing acceleration they have. The handling performance probably will not reach the power performance though .
-
They should, but they probably think Thai market is willing to pay more for the European brand name with Scandinavian design.
-
Exciting news about Seal, Volvo ex 30 will also be launched soon. Not sure which one to choose. Afraid the Volvo will be overpriced in Thailand.
-
With that much power on the rear wheels there will be very little weight on the front wheels anyway. Just like a superbike wheeling. You just have to lean forward ????

For many people It is not about getting from a to b without issues. It's about enjoying insane acceleration and performance. Why do you think people pay big money to upgrade from a 4 cylinders v8 motor on the same car.

In Europe the difference in price between single and twin motor versions are less than 10%.

BYD SEAL Thai price The price of the entry-level BYD Seal RWD is 189,800 yuan ($26,812) or 935,000 baht (excluding tax), and the top-end AWD model is priced at 279,800 Chinese yuan ($39,525) before taxes. At 1,374,000 baht, it is assumed that the price at launch in Thailand should not exceed 1,500,000 - 1,700,000 baht. the launch in Thailand should arrive during this September. google translate https://www.thairath.co.th/news/auto/evcar/2699842

Seems like they have introduced single motor versions of the 2 models. The twin-motor versions have the same prices as earlier . The price difference between the 2 motor alternatives however does not make sense.

I am in exactly same situation as motdaeng, and i agree what you both say The EX30 is from what I have read not smaller inside than the xc40, This is because it is a pure electric car and the space is more optimized. The BYD Seal is also an interesting option in this segment. Will be interesting to have a closer look at them when they arrive late this year.

Ex30 performance is certainly an exciting car. I think most of the Volvos currently sold in Thailand are made in Malaysia. Not sure how the taxes are compared with China.

Just visited the BYD dealership in rayong. They said Seal is probably coming to Thailand in November and the price starting at 1.7mthb.
-
Both the Neta S and BYD Seal seems to be Tesla 3 competitors. The price in Thailand will probably be lower than Tesla, so 2.5 mthb is not wishful thinking. The question is if and when Neta S will come to Thailand. Byd Seal however look like it's coming this year.

Tesla having the most selling car was a response to the claim that Tesla is overpriced. You will not have the most selling car if it is overpriced. The European cars in Thailand which are overpriced surely will feel the pressure from Teslas pricing and will have to adjust pricing if they want to stay in business here.

Many reviews consider the top models from Nio, Xpeng, Hongqi, polestar amongst others to be premium. others, perhaps like yourself have different opinion.

You might want to update your knowledge. https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/china-was-top-market-tesla-model-y-worlds-best-selling-car-q1-2023-05-30/

Tesla is currently the most-selling car in the world and the prices in Thailand are quite well aligned with the prices in Europe. (Maybe +10%) With the other brands you mention (+Volvo) the prices in Thailand are much higher than Europe. I am surprised so many Thai customers are willing to pay this huge premium to get the right logo on the car. Bmw ix3 is 85% more expensive than Tesla Y (2 wheel drive) in Thailand, in Sweden it is less than 30%. Volvo xc40 recharge is cheaper than tesla Y (4 wheel drive) in Sweden, In Thailand+20%.
