Thailand is in the Twilight Zone.

You can't drink because you need to vote but half of the nutters on the road are pissed whilst driving

Actually you CAN drink, you're just not allowed to buy alcohol. It's just another on a long list of zero-thought alcohol laws like not buying alcohol between 2pm-5pm and not selling alcohol near educational institutions. It would be more "logical", in a Thai law sense, to ban drinking alcohol on those days.

Addiction , you sound like an uneducated drinker , typical reply

Sent from my iPhone using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

I have been a pothead, a coke-head, and an alky at times of my life (Hell, I even a toked on a few crack pipes and the high was incredible, but even I felt dirty afterwards ????). I was never "addicted'' to any, but I loved using all of them. Some people, sadly, DO become addicted...yes, even to pot. Who knew that certain vices could lead to addiction..????

I don't suppose that the colour used in each area/or polling station will have any connection with the previous voting pattern at that location?

It would certainly "streamline procedures" during the 60 days counting and verification period!

One of the ideas behind a secret ballot is that there is no way of linking a ballot paper with an individual or group of voters.

So how are constituent votes calculated? Hell, even in South Africa, without colour coded ballot papers, we know who the majority group of voters votes for...most other democracies also have the data

This story is clearly about how to fine tourists in rented cars. Simple, fine the renters. They're cars. If they can't afford it or dont like it get another job. Renters probably want a way to avoid the tickets themselves. Most tourists are descent drivers and obey laws. Im aure the problem aint so bad.

Or RTP could fine drivers instead of cars i.e. if a speeding ticket arrives the renter can give evidence that they were not driving and the fine gets annulled. It's not going to break the RTP's bank if a few tourist speeding fines don't get paid. For other violations, the police could just use some system that penalizes drivers who are caught breaking the law. Almost like a fine. ???? The problem with that scenario is that the police would have to actually be out there trying to catch people...

  5. So under this new "law", if I had 90 employees at my factory, A) I have pesky regulations and inspections to deal with and B) I own a factory.

BUT if I split my factory in 2 and break up my employees into groups of 45, I now A) Don't have to deal with any regulations and B) Am the proud new owner of two buildings where people gather to work, but not 2 factories.????

Makes perfect sense to me... ????

employer abroad if the report will be sent abroad for the application package.  that would indicate which country RTP needs to add the notation "FOR THE AUTHORITIES OF xxxxxx ONLY"

Thanks! I just got off the phone with special branch and they said the same thing. Way easier to get done than some things in this country.

i think in thai. Its RTP... but you are going to need it in thai anyway. So actually its better than your embassy doing it. BUT takes...timeeee

The ones I got for work here were in Thai, but I need one for my new work abroad. (Yep, I've had enough and I'm checking out - but that's a story for another day.) I've seen pics online of Thai police reports in English for Thai citizens moving abroad but wasn't sure if they were fake or "specially ordered" etc.

It won't be a fail though - here in Thailand.

From many reports on this in the past, it has been stated by those having to carry out the absurd policy, that kids are not allowed to fail exams. Hence these qualifications are not worth the paper they're written on.

There are very few parts of the world that students actually fail anymore. This is not a uniquely Thai education system trait. Even Canada has a "No-zero"policy. ????
