Don't have to put water in fuel, it can find its way there quite successfully with the high ethanol fuels which are hygroscopic. Bikers who avoid winter and lay up their machines know this only too well...

I used to put a cup of metholated spirits in my car during the wet season with every fill.

Apparently mixes with the water and gets burnt  easier .

absolutely correct.  Not all piped water is the same quality, so you need to know where it is coming from and how filtered it is.  My own house water supply  has 3 different and complementary filters in the line from source to my taps, so I am comfortable using it for showering and teeth cleaning.  It is drinkable, although it can have a slight tinge to the flavour on occasions, so we use bottled water for drinking and cooking.

I had an open wound and the Doctor was adamant not get it wet as the town water contained Bad Bacteria.

Many thanks for your reply BestB. I pay rent 12th monthly. From your comments are you saying that, pending me pursuing other action to recover  the deposit, I do not have to leave when the current tenancy expires on 12 November or will I be evicted. Also as all rent has been paid through the letting agent would they be able to confirm proof of rent paid?

They are playing this down as a mild disease, I have had it and I assure you it is not.

It started in the beginning of July and for a couple of days was the most painful thing I have ever experienced, from my eyelids to my toes every time I moved it hurt. Sweat poured out of me even running down my shins when I stood, three kg weight loss over two days despite a large intake of fluids. My Doctor took one look and gave me one injection and a course of tablets for a few days and just said it will be OK.

Over the next month it did improve but I still feel tired easily and nearly three months later I would only rate myself as 80% of my previous fitness.

Age plays a large part in recovery but even so it is not an insignificant illness so use the bug spray and clean up your garden.

Your symptoms are as mine were when i contracted "Ross River Fever" (form of Malaria) hate to tell you this but expect a re bout in about 2 years.   Took years to get back to some sort of Normal fitness.

sincerely hope yours is not the case, good luck

Hi Pib, I read in your post that you did your extension of stay mid-late August.

That means that you do not need to worry about TM30 compliance until next year August, as it is only checked when applying for an extension of stay (it is not checked when doing 90day reports).

Although it is the intention of the law to update your TM30 each time you return from a trip outside your province there is actually no need for that.  The IO will only check when you are doing your extension of stay (next year August) whether a current TM30 has been filed from the place where you are staying.

Beg to differ, Re; not checking at 90 days, Nonthaburi would not process my 90 day until i produced my TM30 reciept, luckily i had a photo of it which they accepted

You are going to sell your bike because a TM30 must be completed upon your return to your registered address? Really? Get online and register. It is very simple.

This whole TM30 saga has been blown totally out of proportion.

But if, you stay at several places durring your trip and assume they have reported you, then on your return you submit your Tm30 only to find out one ? Of the places has not submitted the form, What then ?

Please treat this as a serious warning folks,,, I witnessed a Scottish guy get a scratch that he ignored until the next morning ,,,,, too late

3 operations & 2 kilos of his flesh had to be removed from his leg & very lucky to avoid amputation.

If you get even a small scratch,,, wash well & lather on the Betadine

Agree ! I have it as we speak, it took one day (last Sunday) from small scratch(s) to fever, swelling, discharge(s) plus extremely painful.  Now, Anti Bioctics ,cleaning and new bandages daily. could not load photo. alas. ( not pretty)

By the looks of it , going to take a long time to heal.

For me the correct option is not in the list.

I have been told by Jomtien immigration that as a retiree in my own condo I don't need to do a TM30 when returning from trips here or abroad.

I comply with that and don't do one.

Same for me in Bkk , with the exception of returning from abroard

FF should end their association with ptp if they were smart before they are caught up in the crap from its owner, ptp has a bad name about the same as the governing coalition, ff have to show thais they can be trusted and are not linked to the corrupt parties. Hopefully ff will become the strongest party in Thailand and be able to rule in their own right removing all the bad elements from govt and ending all the crap from ptp, democrats and prayuths lackies

    well stated.
