Britain's apparently broke, but they can find that sort of money every year. Something smells of lies.
I’m so glad my daughters and their friends have been travelling around Asia for the past year, not needing to pay back their student loans. The British government obviously don’t need the money.

No matter how you are trying to make putin look like the good guy,he is not!
He is the one that started all this and you know it!
Actually, I don’t care about making Putin look good or whether he is good or bad. What I believe (and you can have your own beliefs as well, that’s fine with me) is that this conflict could have been easily avoided but was instigated by America to weaken Russia. It is well documented that NATO expansion eastwards was a red line for Russia and previous European leaders had been against it. But as America holds sway in NATO, the expansion continued right up to the borders of Russia.
You surely can’t be so blind as to see that Russia won’t consider it a threat. How do you think any country would react if an adversary were to station troops and weapons next to their borders? Try not to be hypocritical when answering, although I doubt you would as it would show your narrative to be flawed.

You also need to dig in a little deeper how the sanctions are affecting normal russian people.
The economy seems up for now but that is not sustainable ,the russian government will run out of money end of this summer.
Were you in Russia to see how the sanctions are affecting normal Russian people? Or are you relying on western media reports? Surely you are not that naive and gullible to accept everything you read as the gospel truth?
Let’s revisit this claim that Russia will run out of money by the end of this summer. I doubt it very much, especially coming from you as you don’t even seem to know what proper nouns are, much less world economics.

But sanctions don't work, according to the bots
You clearly don’t know much about economics. Gazprom’s major source of revenue was gas sales to Europe. Some dastardly evil nation blew up the pipeline that this gas was flowing through thus stopping the supply and sales. Naturally, Gazprom would then suffer a big hit on sales and profits. This however, will not put GP out of business. The gas is still in the ground and will be sold to other newer markets. In the meantime, the poor old buyers of this cheap energy is now forced to buy their much needed gas at significantly higher prices from other sources. Anyone with any intelligence can add 2+2.
Incidentally, sanctions had nothing to do with the above story. Lots of western countries, including America are still buying lots of stuff from Russia, including uranium. As to the impact of sanctions, Russia grew faster in 2023 than most western countries.
Despite several rounds of sanctions levied by Western powers over the war in Ukraine, the Russian economy registered strong growth in 2023 after a recession the previous year.

Anyway, we can ask Donald Trump about this election stuff.
Personally, I am against voting so it doesn't matter to me - what counts is results - Putin seems to be doing a good job for the Russians.
For God, King and Country.
Strange how is it, for one side, everything that Russia says, true or false, is propaganda whereas everything their side says is the undisputed truth.
Biden tripped going upstairs- Russian propaganda
Putin does not have cancer - Russian propaganda
Bolshoi Ballet Academy is one of the oldest and most prestigious ballet academies in the world - Russian propaganda
Russian are fighting with shovels invented in the 19th century- absolute truth.
It reminds me of a cult, like EV-angelistsIf the situation wasn’t so tragic for Ukraine, it would be funny.

Actually, there are many WESTERN economists, analysts and experts who says that Ukraine will lose. But of course, their personal characters (and not their expertise) will be demeaned by the pseudo experts on here.

Fantabulous claim?
I have never asked anyone for a link here, there is plenty of info on the net.
Yes i still think Putin is the one who started this and he is the only one(besides Trump of course lol)
who can stop this in 24 hours.
Yes you are probably right about hypocrisy,it is all around!
All the research I have done point to your claims being mere fantasies and hopes. Western media have made many claims, most of which have turned out to be false. So excuse me if I don’t believe anything the western msm claims.
You give Putin too much credit. There are others (not the orange man) who can stop this but unfortunately for Ukraine, it’s not in the interests of the puppet masters.

I don’t make things up. I post my opinions and conclusions. No issue for me if you disagree with them. Life, and truth, does not revolve around links, particularly those from the western msm.

It is all depending on China, and what they choose to do now facing new Embargoes from Usa.
A turning point is if Usa and Britain continue to deliver more of the long distance missiles such as Himars, and can strike supply lines and training bases in Russia.
Still Nato countries hesitate to deliver enough high tech weapons, and weapons fast enough. Trust have been the problem since the start of the conflict to deliver high tech that could land in hands of russia.
It may not be just a question of hesitation. It could also be a problem of availability.

The invasion of Ukraine was illegal under international law
Did I say that this “invasion” was legal? There has been many other invasions by other countries that were also illegal under international law but we are not going down the whataboutism route.

There is lots of information about this, russia had a lot of money in the beginning of this war but they are running out.
At the moment there are big transports of material and ammo being sent to the front, what russia is doing right now is throwing a lot of bodies into the fight.
The frontline is littered with dead Russians in places.
Zelensky has no plans to enter Russia at all,he just wants the Russian army to go home.
Strange why, when such a claim is made by those that you and your buddies disagree with, there is a HUGE clamour for links to substantiate it but when such a fantabulous claim is made by those in support of the western narrative, there is dead silence.
Hypocrisy, as expected and normal for those who are rabidly anti Russia.

That's about as ridiculous as saying that Ukraine will target North Korea or Iran who supply weapons for Russia to use
America would do that in a jiffy if they thought they could get away with it.
1 hour ago, johng said:And predictably he will act all surprised and outraged if/when Russia targets British-supplied weapons whilst they are still in Britain.
Much as this would be nice, Russia has proven itself to be more abiding with international law than some others. Targeting the weapons inside of Britain would probably also invoke Article 5. Not that NATO can really do much about it as the Russian army is very proficient in fighting with shovels but this would lose Russia the moral high ground (in the real world, not the make believe world that some posters reside in).
What will be interesting is where the F-16s will take off from. No chance they will be based in Ukraine as the airfields will just be destroyed.

US hits China with sweeping sanctions over support for Russia’s war in Ukraine
https://au.yahoo.com/news/us-hits-china-sweeping-sanctions-062147624.html
Seems like the Us is becoming a one trick pony with its endless sanctions on everyone. I wonder about the efficacy of such moves. If a company can make more money selling to Russia than to the Us, today, tomorrow and into the foreseeable future, the sanctions are totally useless. It also creates more negative sentiment around the world and could lead to retaliatory measures from the countries affected. In a fight between USA vs ROW, my money is on the latter.

Its the massive elephant in the room ,, and the EV, fanatics, Groans, Politicians and vested interest know it and hate it ,,, but they are wrong ha ha
The HYSE ICE hydrogen engine developed by Yamaha/Toyota is going into full production and has been licensed by others in The consortium including Honda, Stellantis,Kawasaki, Suzuki, Komatsu, Kubota Isuzu,Ford and Mazda ,2,4 & V8 variants for car M/c, bus etc .
JCB already has its equivalent engine in production and others are in development or licensing negotiations with other heavy vehicle makers , and some of the big EV companies are also in on it
Caterpiller are working on their version too
so the end of EVs is coming
You might well be right but I was reading that Shell recently closed some hydrogen filling stations in California I believe? And that some Toyota Mirai owners are suing Toyota for selling them a car that can’t work (as there is nowhere for them to fill it up).
By the way, what are Groans? And why are EV owners fanatics? I own an EV mainly because it only costs me about Thb200 to drive 400+ kms (less if I’m able to charge using my solar setup) as compared to over Thb 600 for my Mazda 2. On top of that, I save money on consumables like engine oil, oil filters, servicing etc.
Looking forward to hearing your further views about EVs.
