The belief is that we were created. No matter how there had to be something that did it. I have read the bible and debted teh koran with Whether you believe in god, Allah or any Hindu god, there is one thing that we need to understand. All of these books/religions, along with Buddhism, promote peace, ethics and love thy neighbour. The challenge we have is that man was created with one big flaw. He wants more. It is interesting that those people who truly believe in the TRUE life understand that they must love each other. The challenge is that man has and always will be tempted, even from the beginning. The bible, koran, Talmud and Bhudda's teachings are all guidelines for living a true and peaceful world. Imagine if the priests and monks all lived according to their oaths. From a Thai perspective King Rama IX extolled the virtues and created a plan for all Thais to live a good life under a Sufficiecnncy Economy philosophy. Imagine if the people had or did establish it. Why don't they? GREED As to why God allows these things to happen, consider this. There have been more and more hurricanes. Tsnumai's and weather-related issues in the world. Who is to say that they have not been a message from a higher power?

Why did Hollywood become so boring ?
kingstonkid replied to MrPancake's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Hollywood has become a CGI AI world, where before it was real-life stunts, and how far you could go is now how much CGI can you do. The other issue is that most of the people have left Hollywood, and those that are left behind are bereft of fresh ideas because most of it has already been done. -
10-15% is reasonable if you get really good service. Personally, I tip 100 baht when I go for a massage. My ex explained to me when I got here that they only get a small percentage, if that or a minimum wage for their work. I find that tipping for good service helps all the people working in the business, as most businesses share tips.

There may not be many spots left, but the beaches are great, and if you stay away from the village, you should only get wet from the sea. I would get my assets on agoda right away. There are only a few good rooms left

I can remember a few years back when Thais got arrested because they showed a pic on Facebook There are things they can do. First, give the police a mandate to charge and arrest anyone drinking and driving. PERIOD Then take away their cars in a lot. Also, and this will upset many Farang, the rules about hours of service and selling alcohol should be changed. Any restaurant or bar that sells beer before 12 should be charged and closed.

I hear you being diabetic and a non-friend of Spicy, and I share your concerns.

I don't know where you are eating, but I have seen very few restaurants that have a service charge unless it is the big hotels. Personally I tip for the good or bad service I get. Yes I tip 2 baht for bad service. leaves them wondering I tip well for good service. not just for the good service that I got but if you are a regular or go back to a place, you are remembered and get the same service. It boggles the GF when we go somewhere, and I don't even have to ask for a drink. The only question they ask is what she would like. Or we go in and get a good seat and are looked after. Hell, even Starbucks knows my name in a few shops because I tip and praise them.

Has anyone noticed the vapes are now linked CDs and movies used to be on Suk? They are showing pictures, but one of the salespeople are holding stock. The problem is that yes they know who is selling them but the brown envelope is big. The rules for vapes should be the same as the rules for alcohol, cigarettes, and Marijuana. No sale of any kind within 1000 meters of schools and no sales to anyone under the age of 18. Pemalty is simple they close up the store permanently. -

Bangkok’s Airport Rail Link faces major maintenance
kingstonkid replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
This is a forewarning about the SRT lines that they have opened on the cheap. You have to have the funding and a continuous maintenance plan. The keep prices down and this is new so it will not need work is a fallacy. Consider that with Condos, we have condo fees, and a portion is set aside for maintenance and upgrades. -
That's because when you go for the first time they don't know you. Then they get to know you.

Did you consider that maybe he just didn't have any. I am sure if you had asked after lunch he might have helped you. Timing is everything.

I noticed that a lot of universities are now accepting the Duolingo test. Correct me if I am wrong but not long ago IELTS was the gold standard. Where did this one come from, or is it a by-product of COVID?
