  1. The challenge is not the products price as it is the loss in revenue from thais coming back into the country and wanting to buy duty free booze and cigarettes. There's no way they will gain that income any other way and AOT Will lose money which means the government will have to bail them out also.
  2. First question Where is entry stamp Second. Question Where's old passport with entry stamp
  3. While the investigation and ruling will take time it could still be the worst thing to happen to a lot of patties. First the shin family tells them he is a man of the people. His meals and treatment. MFP will use it against PTP as thaksin being special and corrupt. They will use against the military because as much as the military supposedly want him in jail they allowed this sham and protected him
  4. The rating system is set and aaa is almost impossible to achieve. It will be interesting to see what the Ranking is after all the promises are met.
  5. The challenge is that Thai kids have no idea about possibilities. Girls feel that if the want to keep a bf they have to put out or their friends will ridicule them. There are 2 major things lacking in schools Financial education And Real sex education by people that know Most Thai teachers still think pump and dump is okay.
  6. Samed for relaxing can't be beat but as others have stayed what you are looking for makes a difference.
  7. Don't forget the cost of staff to look after the house I would suggest buying a condo
  8. How is le tour Thailand going. As to thi thread Wondering if it is troll
  9. I agree to the point that Islamic law is totally different to what we are used to. The thing that we as on Islamic followers fail to understand is that this is their law and religion. Living in Pakistan you quickly learn the rules and the way things are done. Good Muslim men do not drink (in Publilc) They will go to a restaurant and have tea that they have brought with them. Had a head of local government in Lahore come to a meeting in a hotel and when we started I asked him if he wanted a drink water, soda, tea coffee. He looked at me strangely and asked if I had any beer or whiskey LOL I turned the tables on him at dinner when I offered him a cup of tea and suggested that he would really love the grape flavour
  10. That is called a game and to be honest, I do not have the time, energy or desire to play games. Before I found GF it just did not make s sense. Now that I have a gf even though i go out alone I am upfront that I will buy a drink but there is nothing going to happen after.
  11. The funny thing about all this is that when you look at the big ticket issues. Pharma Immigration the national debt abortion student loans high cost of university DACA The DNC for the most part and the GOP a little Have had the power in government to pass legislation to correct and make these things into law or make changes. Instead, they talk about climate change and spending money that no one has. When Obama was in power he had the House and the Senate and still could only barely get ACA through. The bottom line is that both parties are afraid to do anything that is not popular and may cost them votes. Heaven forbid they tell people that they have to tighten their national purse strings or tell government workers that they are not getting a raise in their department budgets but some of them are getting cuts. It is all about the money that they get from big business in their war chests and the perks they get,
  12. The supreme court didn't strip anyone if any rights. What it did was simply state that this was something that everyone should have a say in each state. Last time I looked women have the right to vote and elect politicians to represent their desires. Therefore if a woman can not get an abortion where she wants it is her state government that's stopping her.
  13. You miss the point. In order to have a conversation a person needs to be able to put real words into a sentence and make sense. That requires that the person is able to use the correct words and grammar. The challenge is that they have to be a le to read and write in order to be successful in the real world. Businesses don't want someone who can talk but not read instructions. Also there are few areas where the average Thai is going to speak English daily. Solution is to get rid of multiple choice questions and create a must pass education system.
  14. Yes, but it is not that hard there are more English-speaking people here than yo think. There are also a lot of students who are taking languages at university.
  15. looking at the fideo 2 things come to mind. Either trhe Russian is brain dead and very stupid to be driving a vehicle that fast that she could not control OR This is going to be a poster video against the new 4am law. either way the families should be sueing the ass off her and the bar she was drinking at. She should not be sent back to Russia unless the address is a Gulag, Ukraine or Siberia and only after doing 20 years in prison.
  16. The interesting thing is that if you look at the west whie we are tring to raise standards here they are lowering standards. Look no further than california
  17. simple solution check the markets for anyone selling choes
  18. There are a lot of young Thais that want to code and be involved. The challenge is that the schools do not have the ability to promote this or the tools. If Microsoft and the government wanted to do something then the answer is to copy what the Indian Government did and buld schools for students that have the ability. Entrance to the school is not based on money but based on a person's ability to learn to code, Have the desire to code and can learn and apply code. Schools would have to teach the basics of Math, Thai, English and international social with a predominance of computers and coding. Goals should be established and if students do not achieved the goals they go back to normal schools.
  19. This is hilarious we have one headline hat says Chinese airlines are cancellng flights due to lack of customers, and then we have another where Thai air wants to put more flights in and out of China. Bottom ine is that countries and places that rely on strictly tourism are in trouble because people have less and less money to spend. Most people are looking at trips that are close to home. In the case of India, Pakistan, China and Russia there are not many places to go where they can enjoy the world. The other side is that there are not a lot of people that can afford the trips. Thailand needs to look at other businesses. Companies in the west are closing their call centers. If Thailand was smart they would be competing with the Philippines for international business.
  20. Left alone he is on the road to adding close to 750 mil baht dept to the country. He might beat yingluck. The question is how long will the military go down this road. They will back the 10k because it is new money to the elites. As to taxing foreigners that is not going to happen too many pay taxes outside the country to tax treaty countries
  21. Before khu kot BTS it cost most thais 15 baht mini van to futurepark 35 baht minivan to morchit or victory X baht for bus or BTS The problem with buses is that they can take 2 hours to get to victory. As the government plan is showing it is not viable to run the BTS mrt systems at a price the poor can afford. Also the infrastructure at stations can not handle the crowds.
  22. Lol you wish. Found the trick to get a seat on train at Siam. Take trains to nana then get on train for khu kot
  23. Yeah but the part I know about is the part I mentioned
  24. Botom ine they should still not be selling anything registered as Cannibas to minors. It is one step above candy cigarettes
  25. The green line does not include Rangsit. The green line runs from Khu Kot to Morchit. Khu Khot is on the border of Pathum Thani and BMA The Rangsit statin is part of the RED LINE which is the 20 baht fare
