  1. Hi, good day to everyone.

There is a small parking area right infront of the mukdahan border immigration office where there is nearby building for the Thais who will submit their Thai ID card to enter LAOS. May i know can we park our car there overnight? I heard they have ban car parking there overnight.

And can Thais still enter LAOS using ID card only? Usually i know thais who using ID card to enter LAOS have to wait for office open 8am and get the approved documents. Is the rountine still the same?

Lastly, is the Thai consulate regualtion still the same? Submit visa application in morning, collect afternoon on next day? How about the document for application?

    Thank you. :)

if your friend home is 30 minutes from Poi Pet so why not use another border to do the trip, O'Smarch or Ban Laem might be possible.

Thanks for your suggestion. I will check the location. Why we choose the Aran border, there is a big market. My wife and friends want to shop around there. We are going from Bangkok toward Aranyaprathet. Not sure along the way, where are they visiting as well. Anyway, I will give a miss. I will just wait for them for few hours. And we will meet in Thailand then.

Believe it or not, there is a real Cambodian law that you must stay overnight when entering by land (except if you have a multiple entry business visa). A small fee to Cambodian immigration for them to waive enforcement is common.

Probably there is a law existing. If so, I believe the officer will insisted us to pay the fine even my friend rebuked them back. On that day, it is a very busy day. The whole room is packed. Many of the tourists are backpack style wearing sabai sabai. I believe many of them are border hopper. But I see no one paying the "fine". Maybe we are the only group who travel in/out on the same day. LOL~

I wish I could say an overnight stay would guarantee all will be OK. If you tell Thai immigration you are going on a quick overnight trip to Battambang, wanting to see it while in the area, they might still see this as a border hop (a crime according to the powers that be in Aran).

I am thinking maybe I should just miss my friend's house opening. I don't like reasoning with the officer, may ends up in a nasty quarrel.

Even the previous trip i visited my friend in Poipet. The Cambodian immigration charge me and few Thai friends (i think 50 or 100baht) while going back from Cambodia to Thailand. Other farang tourists need not pay this fee. The officer explained that we did not stay overnight hence need to pay the fee which we never heard before such regulation. Probably they thought we are going to Casino. I don't know. My Cambodian friend did the talking with the immigration guy. Sometimes we need a loud lady 555, our "fine" are voided then.

Since then, I told myself never coming here again unless really needed.

It is hard to say for sure what will happen at Poipet. If you have not been there for a year, you may have a similar experience to last time, especially if you feign no knowledge of any letter last time. However, you should be prepared for a possible rejection of a border hop with no stay in Cambodia.

If I stay overnight, will it be ok? I don't wish to stuck at the immigration while my group of friends waiting for me.

  6. Would like to seek advice from the specialists here.

I am holding non-imm O visa (marriage). I know the immigration does not allow Non-imm O visa to extend their 90days at the Aranyaprathet border. I went to Poipet once about a year ago to visit my friend (cambodian) and her house is only less than 30mins driving from the border. It was a 1 day trip. As i came back to Thailand on same day, the officer may have impression that I am doing border run for my non-imm O visa. While passing through Thai immigration. I was been invited for a talk and signed a document for acknowledgement. This time, my friend has got her house renovated done. Invited us for house opening. I will be going to poipet again for a day trip (as there's nothing else interesting for me to stay overnight). Mine is a genuine case. Will I have problem again at the immigration border? My passport previous 90 days stamps gotten through airports.

Any good advice to ensure a smooth trip?

  7. Got a Non-Imm O marriage visa from Savannakhet Laos.

The visa expiring in February 2018.

The 90 days due date stamp inside passport is in January 2018.

Would like to ask must we go to Savannakhet Laos to renew our Non-imm O marriage visa in January 2018

OR can we fly out in January and received another new 90 days stamp? Will the immigration officer granted us another 90 days although the visa expire in February? Or will the immigration just give us remaining days till February?

Lastly, is procedure in Savannakhet Laos still the same?

    Thank you

  9. No problem if the rental agreement is in your wife's name. The may accept just the rental agreement alone for a 60 day extension.
You wife will need to be with you when you apply. You will need your marriage certificate plus a copy, copies of your wife's house book registry and ID card.

Ok thank you very much. One last question, instead of 60days extension. Can I go for border run out and in on the same day? Laos or Cambodia
  10. Hi,guys. My friend ask me a interesting question. He talk about places where you can find girl companion like nana, soi cowboy, some other particulars places where freelancing girls can also be found. He mentioned about the boy bar raided and hi-so ladies involved as stated in the news recently. He ask is there any disco pub or any particular area where you can see those hiso ladies? Usually people won't get to see them in public. So after he bring up this topic. I started to be curious too. Does anyone know where does those Thai hiso man/lady hang around to pick their "dish"?

  11. Sorry I have bring this topic up again as I would like to confirm for latest update and plan my trip schedule.

1)I was been told that I can apply for the 60days extension of stay for non-imm O marriage visa within the last 30days. Let's say non-Imm O visa due date is 15 August 2016. Can we go apply the 60days on 22 July 2016?

    2) on the application form, I think we need to write our current address. But there is no official room rental paper form from the landlord. Will the immigration accept our application?

3)what else do we need for the 60days application?

    4) Current residence in pathum Thani, where should we go to apply?

    Thank you

    Thank you

  12. What country

    Thailand
Did you not report for the draft or did you got drafted and then not showed up for your service?

For the first one, 200 baht fine.

If you show up after you are 30 years old you don't have to go for the draft just pay the fine.

Got drafted and missing for 2 years.

  13. The non-imm O (marriage visa) 90 days due date is up, for example on 30 May. I would like to apply for the 60 days extension of stay.

Must I apply only on the last day of my non-imm O 90 days (30 May) or can i apply on the day before due date (29 May)?

Is there any official given period for me to apply the 60 days extension of stay? Lastly, when will the 60 days extension of stay begin?

On the day I apply or after the non-imm O 90days due date regardless when I have apply the 60 days extension?

    Thank you.

  14. Be sure to bring your wife with you for the application, as she will have to confirm that the two of you are living together.

only one 60 day extension per entry to Thailand. so after an extension a border crossing run will be required.

getting a fresh 90 day entry just prior to the expiry date of the actual visa, coupled with a 60 day entension will make the one year visa last almost 17 months

    Ok. Thanks! [emoji7]

  15. I saw the advices from TV is you can get the non-imm O from savanakhet and you need to leave Thailand every 90days but you can also choose to apply for a 60 days extension of stay based on marriage paying 1,900baht.

Where can I apply for this 60days extension of stay?

Can it be done in Phitsanulok immigration? (I assume not all immigration will do the process )

If my first 60 days extension of stay was done in Phitsanulok immigration,

Can my next 60 days extension of stay application do it in Bangkok immigration?
