But I must say a call back to ground crew to find the "lost' valuables wouldn't have gone a miss, to ease the situation.
See Odd that no one in the airport boarding area noticed a bag left behind after all passengers had been processed and onboard.

or a 1-year extension of such Visa.
You’re perpetuating the confusion. Visas Are not extended. Permission to stay in Thailand may be extended. The visa will expire even if permission to stay is repeatedly extended, but without a reentry permit, the extension will end if you leave the country.

For the first time in 16 years I allowed my 800,000 in the bank to slide below that amount and wanted to be sure of rules at Chonburi immigrations regarding having the full amount in place TWO MONTHS before the next renewal.
I assume the following remains true.??
At least 800,000 baht for 2 preceding months (initial & renewals)
o At least 800,000 baht for the 3 months after date of last application (renewals)
o At least 400,000 baht for the remaining 7 months (renewals)

banks, now the worm has turned, banks rob customers!

I’ve often thought that flights from UK should show instructional videos regarding the use of balconies and elevators/lifts. Both seem to defeat so many of the visitors from Britain in particular.

well thats what I remember from grade one at infant school.
Apparently, based on the comments in this thread, the business of the big hand and the small hand remain a mystery to several people.
The discussion dealing with hotel room keys also implies another bridge too far for a few posters. Deposits for room keys?? Do they also check to make sure the beds and curtains haven’t gone missing in these establishments?

You're right as usual but still the Losartan doesn't risk coughing and it seems OK to me as a stopgap. It addresses BP just in a different way.
Fascino told me they only have
Enalapril and Perindopril Ace inhibitors at my nearest branch. They mentioned the extra side effects risk with Enalapril. Do you have any comments about Perindopril?
I found this article specifically comparing and contrasting the two drugs … I don’t think it’s been referenced above.

i read, or think I did somewhere, that AstraZeneca was aiming to stop production of Zestril and transition to permitting generics to replace it, which seemed to be what some Fascino pharmacists told me.

Truly delusional.
Depending on the Covid situation it might attract the interest of guys in the UAE, Saudi etc looking to escape the July heat at home to spend even just a few days here. I doubt the target audience is the old dears on this message board sitting in their bedsits whining about everything.

a never ending series of ever more stupid "investment opportunities" for westerners ?
Many people, not just in Thailand, have found the stupidity of westerners to be a rich generator of highly profitable schemes.Ponzi, Nick Leeson, Bernie Madoff, the RNC and much of the political establishment in western countries quickly come to mind as exploiters who know where the clowns congregate.
Are only westerners targeted or is that your interpretation?

As opposed to western governments and politicians who have a reputation based on honesty, integrity, reliability and morality. Amazing how easy it is to remain blind to those things in our home countries while blaming Thais and Thailand as if they were uniquely at fault for shortcomings found everywhere.

Another foreign criminal some how makes it into Thailand. How many thousands more of various criminal types are hiding in Thailand? Thai Immigration makes it next to impossible at times to deal with a simple expat retirement/marriage visa yet somehow with all the bureaucracy red tape and hoop jumping guys like this are far more common than you think.
It’s amazing how many foreign criminal types, often those already convicted and supposedly incarcerated, slip through the fingers of their home nation’s justice and immigration systems.
The Thai police must have a permanent division assigned to the task of apprehending and extradited foreigners on behalf of western nations unable to control the flow of their less desirable citizens through their porous borders.
Typically here at the Thai Visa kangaroo court, even when foreigners demonstrably and undeniably behave deplorably, there is a rush to deflect and to blame Thais and Thailand.

You could but the two are not connected. Can have MLB TV with smart TV if you don't want to cast from computer or phone device to TV
Ordered Chromecast online from Central. Baht 2490. Delivered in less than 48 hours. Easy to hookup with both Windows desktop and iPad.
subscribed to MLB TV. $129
Now watching Cubs vs Mets from Monday as we speak. Beautiful picture..
sadly Cubs will probably disappoint, but had to watch them first out of loyalty.
thanks for your help.

OK. I mistakenly thought my current tv only had one hdmi connection, now in use by satellite set top box cable. Exploring further I discovered there is a second hdmi connection that could be used for Chromecast, which solves the problem that I imagined I would have.
in addition to being tech challenged I’m also central vision challenged.

Thanks. I live in the boonies east of Pattaya.
since my Samsung TV is approaching middle age, I suppose if I replaced it with a smart tv that would allow me to continue with my True Vision satellite service and handle a mlb subscription too. Yes ??

True is actually pretty good. The problem seems to be Fox Sports, but I still want to watch nfl games on Fox later in the year. I was holding off going the streaming route to see if mlb reappears on Fox; if not, will go the mlbtv route as suggested above. mlb has confirmed no blackouts, & the helpful reply above confirms no vpn required. I can stream games on my phone and link to my samsung tv either directly or if necessary through a stream stick. just not sure if my broadband wifi is fast enough to stream without problems.
A at the mlb website there’s a link to check whether your internet connection is up to handling streaming. https://www.mlb.com/live-stream-games/help-center/desktop-laptop-compatibility-for-windows
when I had 3BB in my 15th floor condo I checked and was informed my service was inadequate. Now living in a house my 3BB service is vastly improved so I expect it would work. I’m too tech challenged to know how to get it on my Samsung TV which would be ideal since I assume you’d have more choices on which games to watch. It’s the prospect of only being able to watch games on computer monitor that’s off putting,
some further info on streaming stick would be appreciated.
Agree that True is generally OK. I doubt I’d really drop the service and also agree that Fox is to blame. You’d think they could broadcast some baseball to audiences in SE Asia since it seems no one else is.

So have I, without success. I sent an email to Truevisions who replied with the cryptic comment that when there is an update on this league, Truevisions will announce in the media again. Looks like Fox Sports has stopped broadcasting MLB games. They used to be on live every morning on channel 689 but now they are showing replies of 3rd tier sports instead.
Yes, for years I’ve watched early in the morning or replay later in the day. Mostly east coast teams but Yankees or Red Sox with occasional Cubs, LA , Astros, whatever better than nothing.
I really don’t want to watch on computer monitor or, even worse, on my iPad. Fox has really let us down. Agree now that True sucks but I like their documentary channels and CNBC,CNN. If some alternate offered those and baseball I’d switch in a heartbeat.
Maybe MLB online will be the only way to get a fix for my addiction.
