1. Thais have an odd sense of respect, Loud music all night any day of the week not giving a sh*t about elderly people next door or little babies

sleeping or children who have school next day, even their own.

    It´s a I do what I want and Don´t give a kahoot´s about others kind of respect/culture. #Fact!

Edit: or children, even their own who have school next day

  2. A very good start on what we and our Thai wives/gf's should do to make you happy.

Please continue to post what you want done and I for one will get right on it.

    I'll try.

If the film is strongly scientific or sci-fi strongly reconsider taking your partner with you, yes that sounds harsh, but would a Thai female actually like a farang Sci-Fi? Especially one that doesn't have romance as a central theme?

If she is or you're like 'I'll take my missus and to hell with you.' then expain to her NOT to talk and ask questions during the movie. It's bloody ridiculous and ruins it for you as well as others, if I don't understand part of a movie I hold my tongue and wait until I can get online to check the synopsis on wiki.

So that's the third thing you can do, translate the movies synopsis into thai, so after she's restrained her chatterbox brain until the movie ends you can whip out the pre-printed wikipedia page and all is revealed for her to understand. smile.png

FB it to her would be more effective!

  3. What a <deleted> this Frenchman is. Last year he was against using goal line technology, which in most people's opinion is essential to verify crucial decisions made by the refs and their linesmen. Maradona's "hand of god", Henry's goal against Ireland and indeed, Hurst's 'goal' in 1966, for example.

Now he's telling the world that the Ballon d'or should go to a German, because Germany won the World Cup. Real Madrid are quite rightly annoyed with Platini for suggesting that it shouldn't go to Ronaldo, arguably the season's best player.

Goal line technology would not have solved Maradona´s hand of god goal or Henry´s goal against ireland as there was no doubt as to if the ball crossed the line or not. Platini is against the over use of technology in the game as it can/could interfere with the natural flow of the game. It´s not American football where everything is screened and put up on big screens and referee ha sto explain to crowd his decition that would be horrible for football. I´d hate it if every offside or ball in play/out of play was debated or inside outside of the box, replays every handball (was it hand to ball or ball to hand?)

Goalline technology is fine but too much technology can spoil it. That was platini´s objection to goal line technology.

Balon d oro winner? I´d have Bale, tired of the Ronaldo/Messi dominating the ownership. Bale was no slouch last season either!

2nd Choice for FIFA Balon d or would have been Suarez...That aint ever going to happen!

  4. Immigration act attached. in both Thai and English.

    It comes in handy.

Why you Rumpole of the Bailey or something ? typically getting into "legal " arguments with immigration and customs officers does usually go too well for the person waving laws in their faces

No, Nobody other than yourself Soutpeel mentioned waving of laws in faces or arguments.

Yes it has gone down, and does go down well out in the sticks Where Immigration officers may not be so familiar with certain things. If I had nt done so, I have walked away with just a 60 day extention and not a year long extention.

So yes it does come in handy, simply for (respectful) communication purposes, makes sure we are on the same page so to speak and fully understand each other in what is/could be a complicated matter.

Are you saying it is wrong for long term residents like the OP to be informed, well informed of what current immigration laws are?

I posted the attachments for that very reason.

  5. I feel schools should be fined heavily for every student the school reports is attending but is not really attending.

Probably less than 1% of non attending people will be caught by immigration.

There is no punishment for the school enabling this behavior.

The Schools by processing the documents for a visa extension for non attending students by definition and comiting fraud. Not often we hear about schools being dealt with in regards to that.

  6. No need to worry! Most let me say that again..most Thai women )or men) can barelyset up an email account let alone print something out..and wow you´re talking a screen shot here..way to technical for them!

Ignore it! if anything you are talking a civil case not a criminal one..turn up only if you are served a warrent! I highly doubt a complaint has been made, it costs

money to denounce here. In all police would require their own independent translator in such a case and not take her word for it or translation of what she says you posted! They would need their own independent qualified translator and so would your ex! If not all it is is a he said she said.

FYI the police would serve you notice of your requirement to turn up if it was neccessary and obliged, not her!

  7. From clause 2.18 immigration order 327/2557.

"(5) In the case of parents, the father or mother must maintain an average annual income of no less than Baht 40,000 per month throughout the year or must have deposited funds of no less than Baht 400,000 to cover expenses for one year."

As you can see there is no amount of time needed for it to be in the bank but some offices want it to be there for 60 days.

The 500k baht number is from clause 2.11 for the parent of non Thai child attending school.

    Thank you kindly Joe,

I have read immigration act my understanding that the immigration officer misunderstood for an extention of stay for an alien child (non Thai) 500k is required and must be in account for 3 months (30 days in first year, first time asking for extension)

where can I find a copy of such document "immigration order 327/2557." in both Thai and English?

    Thank you kindly in advance.

  8. Finally, after such along wait I have got the legitimisation documents from the family court in Roi Et, I am on the 60 day extension of the non o visa.

I may apply for a years extension of stay but can anyone confirm how much money has to be shown and for how long it has to be in your bank account?

I do know it was 400k in a Thai Bank account for 60 days now I have been informed it is 500k for 90 days. The informer was indeed immigration of Amnat Charoen, is this 100% true? or did I misunderstand?

  9. Yep! after a pretty horrific road smash on my bike some 5 years back in Spain..fell myself floating away wanted to close my eyes, was drifting

the fire fighter (female) would nt let me..bloody women..never shut up do they! even when you are trying to kick the bucket!

Back to the serious note I quickly came round to jolts of excruciating pain when my leg, severly broken and twisted, contorted in an impossible angle

got straightened out! No drugs or pain killers until later when a doctor had to be called road side to administer a huge amount of morphine prior to

getting in the ambulance..so bad the crew refused to move me without a doctor giving the morphine!

  10. Three possibilities.

    1) They were on the job, Thai (or other western) husband, gik, boyfriend, fiancee, or second husband turned either all alone or all together, and time to make a quick exit and "fell" over the low balcony railings!

    2) they were clothed, fully clothed but it was much better to remove the female clothing an all ensemble as to not cause further embarassment!

    3) Sleep walking, with Thai security for balcony door´s not that great and the railings rather low..rather easy to make your way to the balcony and fall over the railings when sleep walking.. I don´t know anyone who has almost sleep walked his way from 4th floor of a building unclothed and had no memory of it! whistling.gif

  11. Just out of curiosity, the guys on an ED visa studying Muay Thai, do they have to do a demo for the immigration guys for an extension??

IF these Muay Thai students are fighting in stadium fights (paid or unpaid) does that constitute working, a violation of the ED Visa?

Do the instructors/trainers need to be qualified "teachers" by the M.O.E? is n´t such ED visas given by the M.O.E?

FYI. I have heard non native English Speakers can study English and get an ED VIsa, not sure if that is true or not.

  12. Someone has been on an education visa for 30 years?

NO dont presume the worst of people. She had her own resort until recently and sold due to no bookings. She has been on Education visa for 1 year. She speaks fluent thai but wants to learn how to read and write.

There are many young people here, Lets keep to the point that they were not for-warned . Thailand allowed this behavior for many years so i think they should be a little more carful about making swift changes. I am also not against what the military are doing, but it is not good to leave so many people stranded like this..

·30 years had a resort but sold out surely that makes her over 50 and eligible for a retirement visa presuming she has sufficient funds.

  13. Anyone got that new managed wordpress hosting thing by Go daddy?

so far, click launch when logged in to my go daddy account then click settings when I see my website name.

From there...click Add domain..followed by fill in the name I want in "enter name or sub domain" in the blank box.

seems cool so far but what is this

"This option will require you to change your DNS A record to...(here series of numbers looks like an IP address)

now what to do? next and how do I up date the DNS A record.

Also should I click make this the primary domain for your site or not?

I believ that is almost the creating sub domain sorted...Almost!

    .

  14. I can't give guidance on using GoDaddy - but there is one thing you'll need to make clear for anyone responding:

What should the end user see in the browser address bar after redirecting?

    1) http://MYsubdomain.Mysite.com (i.e. just a CName record)

    or:

    2) http://anotherwebsite.com (an actual redirect)

    Technically, it's a different implementation.

Also, if #2 is what you want, what do you want to tell Google when it visits http://MYsubdomain.Mysite.com?

    a) That http://MYsubdomain.Mysite.com no longer exists, and has now become: http://anotherwebsite.com (so http://MYsubdomain.Mysite.com should no longer be indexed)

    or

b ) That http://MYsubdomain.Mysite.com is only temporarily redirecting to: http://anotherwebsite.com and http://MYsubdomain.Mysite.com might not be redirecting there tomorrow (so http://MYsubdomain.Mysite.com should remain indexed)

Thanks. As per IMHO. I would like the following.

    2) http://anotherwebsite.com (an actual redirect)

    and.

b ) That http://MYsubdomain.Mysite.com is only temporarily redirecting to: http://anotherwebsite.com and http://MYsubdomain.Mysite.com might not be redirecting there tomorrow (so http://MYsubdomain.Mysite.com should remain indexed)

Thanks I had no idea of those things. Go daddy customer service has gone downhill you used to be able to email them and have them tell you exactly how to do it (it being anything relevant you ask them)

Change your domain to mydomain.com Best service and easy to use for your question

Thanks, I know how to do it in hostgator but I locked into Go daddy for a further 2 months!

  15. Maybe the OP could start by reading the Godaddy help page on the subject?

    https://support.godaddy.com/help/article/4652/managing-your-hosting-account-subdomains

    Hmm

Not quite. I can do the mysite.com/mysubdomain no probs. No info on how to redirect it. I would like it in format as previously stated Mysubdomain.Mysite.com then redirect to anotherwebsite.com

Did you read the linked support page? It covers what you want to do:

"For example, you could create a subdomain for pictures on your site called "pics" that is accessible through the URL pics.example.com in addition to www.example.com/pics."

If you just want to redirect to another totally different domain read this:

    http://kb.mediatemple.net/questions/242/How+do+I+redirect+my+site+using+a+.htaccess+file%3F

    or this

    http://webmaster.iu.edu/tools-and-guides/maintenance/redirect-meta-refresh.phtml

WIll check the links. I dont have hosting as such as described on the customer support page I have their new wordpress quick set up thing that has changed

from previous year no server or lynux windows server as such.

Can I create a subdomian and redirect in wordpress from the wordpress dashboard?

    Edit:

I am Go daddy´s new managed wordpress.

  16. No need further question.

Confession already obtain. What else does the Farang parent want?

The farang parents along with hundreds of thousands of other people want a simple thing called justice, you've obviously never heard of it

Confessions were retracted and have now been proven to have been obtained via torture by a THAI government agency and their medical forensic team.

Pretty sure they want more than just the circumstantial evidence that the Thai prosecutors seem to be happy to ask for more of. Pretty sure they want a lot of the thing called justice, you may heard of it..or not!

  17. At the same time, the state prosecutor of the Eight Prosecution Region, Mr Thawatchai Siengjiew, disclosed that the working group of prosecutors have ordered the police to probe into more issues and to question more witnesses and find more circumstantial evidence before the state prosecutor could prosecute them in the court

<deleted>! What about actual conclusive evidence..ah well TIT circumstantial will do for the time being!
