  1. why not get solar water heater? they are pretty effective even during the winter. You will save on your load currents and $$ on your bills.

    Edit:

I dont know if you can get them here but I have seen calor/butane gas (i.e gas bottled) water heaters in Spain that instantly heat up water when needed

in the same way as say an electric shower (also seen gas equivalents of electric showers).

Also in Spain during the cold winters there are air con systems that are powered by calor/butane gas (i.e gas bottled) to heat homes. might help take load off current also.

  2. OP not 100% accurate. Selective news broad casting.

"Niran Pitakwatchara, chairman of the NHRC's (National Human Rights commission of Thailand, a Government agency) sub-commission on civil and political rights, said his forensic team found that the Burmese were tortured and abused. The torture included chest beatings and suffocation using a plastic bag. Dr. Niran also requested X -Ray examination for further analysis. furthermore he said "We spoke to the two suspects on October 13. They have given us believable statements that allude to the fact that they were tortured and forced to confess. But our information comes from the medical investigation team."

  3. Hi folks,

As simple as this may sound for IT/Techie people. How do you create a Sub domain and a redirect with wordpress that is hosted on Go daddy.

Go daddy I have is the new go daddy wordpress site, new as per few weeks ago.

I wish to have something like MYsubdomain.Mysite.com redirected to an outside website lets call it anotherwebsite.com

I am non techie. Skills surfing the web and little more. Step by step instructions appreciated if possible.

    Thank you kindly in advance.

  4. and the point is???

    Costas is on heat

Nah! he is just in season, like any many men in Spring time! After a long hard winter or seeing women with nothing but long trousers, jackets and perhaps even hats and scarfs come Spring, out come the girlies in nice shorts skirts, low cut tops, lowing their charms..yeah he is in Season, smelling P*ssy from a mile off..even on Thai Visa..yep he is like a tiger lion he eats, sleeps, f*cks and lets his women bring him the food! cheesy.gif

  5. First time I've heard the Shed end being deemed to be legendary. Last time I went in the 70s the whole place was a cr@pholebiggrin.png. Worst stadium in London with the possible exception of Brentford.

Not a statement borne out of club rivalry - Anfield, WHL and St James Park stood out as great grounds to watch football at in those days. I liked Deepdale too.

Mr Arsenal, There are exeptions to the rule..I never Imagined Arsenal being the same after a move out of Highbury (barely a legendary stadium) with the execmpyion of Arsenal fans, but they have done well in making the Emerate their new home. Essentially what I am saying some clubs would lose some of their character if they moved from stadiums. Even in Spainish we know Old trafford as the "teatro de Suenyos - no translation required huh!" Some elements of football is in folklore and should nt be changed, IMO FWTW the shed end for Chelsea fans comes into that. Perhaps why Barcelona and Madrid do not try to curb so much the Boixa Nois and Ultra Surs, which are holigans! the very vocal part of the clubs FCB has about 20,000 Boixa Nois every home match.

  6. DerekMarshall.I agree with every word you write.I love the English pemiership because of its cut and thrust but there must be more home grown English talent in the club teams. More competition for places in the international team. But I must say I enjoyed the style of football played by Spain in the world cup before last. They deserved to win.

La liga had something like starting 11 every side they had to have at least 5 players eligible to play for the national team. Rule I am defo for..Spain btw upuntil few seasons ago were not just European Chamipons and World champions at senior level but at every level right down to U17.

What I do not like is when two brothers play for two different countries (Boateng Brothers)..or when players are nationalised via residency (Read brazilain born Marcos Senna with Spain and Deco and Pepe with Portugal, and just about half of the French world cup winning side! Which brings about a unique and world class 18 year old Scottish striker at Real Madrid Jack Harper..Scottish by parenthood (both), Born in andalucia, never set foot it Scotland wants to reject Spain in favour of Scotland! Under the residency Rule a superstar Briazillian could sign for say United at 13 stay in UK 5 years apply for and get passport based on residency..play for England! (not to dissimilar to the offer an 18 year old Leo Messi had for Spain!).

On the grounds issue I do feel some clubs will lose character if the change stadium rather than redevelop existing stadia! Cant imagine a Liverpool being the same not playing at Annfield in front of the Kop or Chelsea in front of the shed end. Some things are legendary and part of the folklore of the clubs and should not be changed!

  7. Good posts Andrew65 and DerekMarshall. My team Sunderland moved out of Roker Park to The Stadium of Light.Roker Park is now a housing estate and after Saturdays 8-0 defeat by Southampton they have yet to see the light.

As far as SiggiCM is concerned. Germany always do well in the world cup due to their organising ability and oustanding managers but who wants to watch such clinical, boring stuff. Big blond defenders booting the ball down the middle. No stars and no flair. Just a big yawn.

I think football is treated with too much importance. All clubs should have a sign above every entrance saying,"IT IS ONLY A GAME".

Being half Spanish and living most of my life in Spain I can tell you the secret behind Spain´s recient success!..P*ssed off at not winning gold (only got silver) at the Barcelona 92 olympics. They decided to invest in coaching and pro referees all levels (even under 8´s). Spain has a population of around 45million and has 20,000 FIFA pro licensed coaches. England approx 60 million and 5,000 FIFA pro licensed coaches meaning the older boys are the ones that get the top coaches and not so much the younger ones.

Germany does well due to strong mentality and will power, power of the mind, winning mentality if you like and yes good old fashioned tactical nous! pretty sure too lesser games (34 league matches) and winter break helps them out too (i.e no/less of an end of a long hard season burn out syndrome!).

    Just my 2 cents worth!

  8. OP comments on Thais running scams then later comments about his running of illegal gambling on side streets. Pot and Kettle or did the hustler get hustled?

So apparently lives here yet does not know when wet season is or that in dry season a waterfall (or any river for that matter) has little or no water! And refuses to accept responsibility for himself putting his own family in danger. Once it was seen how difficult it was to track up the stairs and trek through jungle *HE* by his own choice (not the guides) chose to continue.

I walk with crutches, and when my family visited we hired a tour guide in Bangkok we went to Wat Arun. I managed to get all the way up with the exception of the last flight of steps. I Chose not to continue as it was rather difficult for me with the sticks and my busted rebuilt knee, femur, hip and paralysed ankle. If I chose to go all the way up and fell on the way up or down I certainly would nt be blaming the guide! and I certainly would nt be taking a small child up those stairs (carried or otherwise!).

His fault and he want to blame someone else. Man up tough guy!

Troll post! but I applaud your effort! clap2.gif

  9. anyway england should close all their football grounds, useless, untill they have any goal keepers, middfielders or strikers on German level

    clap2.gifcheesy.gifgiggle.gif

It appears even German players are not up to a German standard, hence the borrowing of many Turkish and polish players. Ozil, Klosse, Podolski are barely scraping at German surnames! What ever happened to the days of German national team with German names like Ruminegger, Voller, Matheus, Bierhoff, Klinsmann and so on!

FYI English sides have won the Champions league more than German sides, and more different teams than any other league (Villa, Nottingham Forrest, United, Liverpool and Chelsea) That is 5 different winners compared to Germany (2) Spain (2) Italy (3) Holland (2).

  10. I'm sure Chicog knows the point I made there....it didn't "start" in the 1990's....clubs have long been moved here and there....for sure modern safety standards have forced changes and I'm sure more will follow.

The main problem nowadays is funding these improvements....especially in urban areas.

Yep and the potential of increased revenue from ticket sales.

  11. "thats an ORDER General"

    For those who were asking

    news06-1.jpg

"look I´ve got an election sometime next year, I´ll scratch your back if you scratch mine, let my boys in to ponder about and you´ll get to save face and look

good in the international arena and in front of your own nationals and I may gain some respect from my people. It´s win-win lets do it!"

  12. I wouldnt even question writing to the website or trying to help in some way, i would just do it.

Even if logic dictates that chances of anything coming of it, doesnt matter.

What matters is showing you wife and her sister support in what has obviously been a distressing situation for your sister in law.

Obviously i think she was foolish to fall for this, but sadly she did.

When the situation and money is long forgotten..how YOU responded to their requests will not be.

Id say choose carefully how you wish your wife and sister in law to remember you in this..the cost or reward could be huge (in terms of long term memory and harboring resentment..or, the better scenario, placing you on a heroic pedastle).

Lara, if it was my sister in law, I would have kicked her arse.

That is a colleague of my wife, not even a friend, that I met her once or twice.

She is asking my wife to help her, and by default I get the request.

As I said before, she is a qualified nurse, and she was able to correspond in English on the website.

Now, because of her naivety, she wants the others to deal with her dirty laundry.

Don't give a damn about the heroic pedestal.......but I will still write for her a letter on her behalf, addressed to the Scottish police.

As about the Thai police and the dating website, she can do it herself........she is supposed to have a bachelor degree in nursing.

For a country where saving face is so VIP that the teacher has to look good and pass all the students and help the students save face by erm not failing them!

  13. Sounds like a Nigerian scam to be honest, and these have been widely reported previously. Although all countries have them. It's unlikely the details tat you have are real, but still worth making a report.

Sadly, I think she has to accept the money and the scammer have long gone

I agree, unfortunately for her, I bet she doesn't the the guys details.....

The name should be correct, otherwise how did he get the money from Western Union.

Thought you have to present a passport or driving license to get the money.

As about the address, shouldn't the letter been returned to her as address Unknown?

    It's been 3 months now.

To collect the money, all that is needed is a Government issued ID. These can easily be faked

Only if she put a return address on the envelope, will the letter be returned to her if the address was fake

There is no Government ID in the UK other than driving licence and passport.
