TWO WORLD WARS AND ONE GIRLS CUP!! Three Irons on the shirt! So Good So Good So Good.... Ohhh SWEET CAROLINE

People more knowledgeable than me say that GWM will start to have problems in a few years due to releasing and producing so many different models at the same time. It is simply going to be impossible for them to have the production of all the spare parts, distribution/training of these to all the dealerships around the country. This would normally be an issue as its the spare parts, service that makes these dealerships a lot of money, the margin on the sale of the vehicles is very very small.

When i fitted out and furnished my condo i had a 1 year warranty and withheld 10% of the payment until expiry of the 1 year. The contractor i used was very good and came readily when anything went wrong which was very rare. At the end of the year i made a defect list and they came around and touched a few things up before i released the final payment.

Terminating 12-month room contract

Generally you would lose your deposit and thats about it. I suppose legally speaking you are on the hook for the rental monies for the remainder of the year, but i expect most Landlords could not be bother to pursue you for it if you refused. -
Entertainment Complexes Recommended To Allow Legal Casinos

Because some people like to get out of their Mums basement once in a while to socialize, have fun, gamble, drink, womanize..... -
I believe One Bangkok will have 5 hotels in the complex. Also people saying there are old hotels shut down- well yes because they are <deleted> and no one wants to stay in them. Give me a brand new Hyatt, Four Seasons any day over some piece of <deleted> old dump in Silom... In the hotel market there are many brands, levels etc. Some might be performing better than others, but i am sure some sectors have demand. If these big brands are opening new i am sure they know there is a market, they have a lot better information on demand, supply, occupancy rates than anyone here.

Yeah HVN looks ok, new one to me- a few aussie furniture companies and auto accessories are doing well at the moment. FMG, BHP, RIO and then ANZ, WBC- all decent shares but you are going with a pretty narrow load of options if a sector is hit. Personally dont get into banking shares much, and the minerals are all good, but you would be crazy to stick your last 500K all in one or two sectors. Anyway sure there are some decent shares out there, but throwing 9% around like its easy is a bit much. Bet if you asked Warren Buffet would he take a secure 5% now he would take your hand off.

There are a couple, but certainly not many, and even less which you would consider as low risk and likely to be reliable to keep paying year after year, and of course all relative to the price you can get in at.... Off the top of my head at the moment perhaps RIO, PSN (but this seems risky and unsustainable), ZIM (again pretty temperamental sector) MNG, couple of the sin ones like BATS and IMB were paying above 10% but not with if you are buying in now.. US shares not really my bag as I am taxed 30% on dividend, not sure if an Aussy would be. Not easy to get reliable 9% yield without taking some pretty large gambles and you also have to be ok with seeing your portfolio value fluctuate a lot. Would say 5-6% would be a much more reliable target with bigger more stable blue chips with less fluctuation.

@ivor bigginyou been sucking your lollipops in a Jomtien clinic recently?
-
Of course not- i go to the shops, i pick up what i want, i take a cursory look at the price and pop it in the basket. Obviously for most people this is done in seconds and subconsciously- if something is prohibitively expensive or more than you want to pay it just stays on the shelf. When you get to the till you should already have a rough idea of what its going to cost. If it comes out much higher then obviously you would have a look. No drama, no need for spreadsheets, no need for heated discussions, or grovelling apologies and receipt comparisons. I could not care less what Thais do if they want to drive around for a bargain- why would i care or be bothered by it or have literally any interest in what they do at all for their food shopping habits?

Ok mate, if you and your other halfs idea of excitement is to note down prices of things in local super markets... each to their own...
-
Making detailed notes of your purchaser prices over a number of years, getting bent out of shape because no apology was offered, looking for assistants to inform them that the pricing is different.... poor wives of these boring bastards....
-
Reading this thread it becomes abundantly clear why Thai women keep Thai boyfriends or cheat on their farang husbands... What a bunch of boring bastards.... poor ladies must be crying out for a bit of excitement in their lives.
