Murder alright but it still doesn't explain why the Turk was carrying a gun.

Nice!!! Where? I think this is one bird that is still eluding me.

And thai people fit this category as soon as they occupy 2 rooms or more.
It only took three posts for the Thai-bashing to begin......
I had three complaints this week (I manage a hotel) and none of the noisy guests were Thai or even Asian.......

I think the West had better get used to this. The thought of all the foreign fighters in Syria, Iraq and Libya eventually going back to the countries they hail from is scary.

You got a lemon and didn't get rid of it fast enough.
Now you know what to do if something similar happens again.
Right, so I got 3 lemons at once? I just think that the Fords assembled in Turkey are not of the highest quality. Makes you wonder when even the Ford dealer admits as much.

Another bit of normal Thai evening behaviour....move along please.
Six posts until the Thai bashing. Must be a slow night....

I arrived a couple of days ago and had less than 2 hrs to make my flight north from Dom Muang. I never used the Limo Service before (in past 9 years). I was shocked at the 1400 fare, but I was in the car within 2 minutes and we made the check in at DM with time to spare. Good driver and car in mint. After the amount of travelling I had done 30 quid was a bargain. I'll use them again for sure.
I use them when I have lots of luggage or cannot be bothered to walk to the taxi queue. Seems a lot of money but my monthly visits to Bangkok are R&R and the limousine fare pales in comparison

The whole ticket thing is a massive screw-up as the lines are massive.
Having said that, I have never been asked for the ticket nor have drivers refused to turn on the meter. To clarify, I am talking about Swampy, not elsewhere in town where this stuff happens all the time.

Sounds like a trigger-happy guard w a shotgun - really ... ? and planted evidence to claim self protection. Just another farang-killing to the statistics in Land of Scams
Sure, and then the guard planted 100K on top of it. Some people seriously need to get out of LOS quickly.....

I bought a Ford van and a Ford 4WD for the hotel I work in as well as a Ford for myself. Every single one has had repeat problems with the A/C, airbags, and ABS.
Never another Ford, that is for sure. A lady at the dealer told me they are assembled in Turkey and known for the poor workmanship...........

It wasn't exactly a "collision on take off"......

And he will walk away not only with his knighthood but with a multi-million pound bonus.....

And the conspiracies start: not one, but two guns planted on a "tourist" (the title should be changed) who apparently was know for being a racketeer. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck........

Apparently no one new CPR
Where does it say that?

I wonder why so many countries do just fine without a police force in armored vehicles and with assault rifles? It is a joke that the Army dumped all this gear on every country sheriff when they came back from Iraq/Afghanistan.
Nobody says no coppers would be a better world, but I sure would feel very unsafe in the US if I were black, brown, green or whatever else did not fit into a coppers stereotypes.

One would think Chinese New Year was coming:-)

I have no problem with tats per se but I suggest people think long and hard. Around the pool these days (I work in a hotel) you are now beginning to see these middle-aged people that were rebels once and did all these rad tats. Today they probably work in finance or something and gravity is taking its toll. Not so nice.....

RIP, but it might always be a good idea to ask about local conditions before venturing out.

"and felt a sense of nostalgia."
Do not despair people.. As the country is going backwards, plus the place is sinking slowly, you will be seeing more of this
Glad I got my post in before the inevitable Thai(land) bashing. Must be a first.

30 years old. What brought him don was that he could not get away with the "stand your ground defense"; too obvious that it was predetermined murder.

I'll certainly check it out.

Good. Some countries don't allow HiSo elites to avoid all responsibilities under law.
Don't count on it. The chebol's have been running the country for ages and I don't think that will change just yet.

Got to love those self-righteous foreigners that will complain non-stop about the week law enforcement, corrupt police, poor driving standards but themselves are, of course, above the law (or so they think).
In the US he would have been tazered multiple times:-)
