Interesting list M save for the last two zooms;
200-400 & 300-600.
At this focal length I go for prime telephotos
such as the 400 @ 2.8G ED.
I wouldn't. I have a 150-600mm which not only costs less than 1/10th of a prime 600mm, it also weighs only a fraction.

Not for people with a daytime job....

I don't think the Chinese people care what the Vietnamese people call their New Year and vice versa.
This. And both in China and Vietnam it is also called the lunar New Year. Not because of PC but because that is what it is. Duh!
Lay off the sauce......

Wow, having to wear something like that would really ruin my day.
Mine also ..
Compared to the Spandex shorts so loved by bikers:

The pilot in Laos flew it into the ground in bad weather, the guy in Taiwan seemed to have lacked sufficient training (like quite a few of his mates that did not subsequently pass their tests).

The Black Swan is moving to Soi 15 next month.
Bummer, the current location is right next to my girlfriends Fitness studio. She lifts weights, I lift pints of IPA. Perfect!
Hemingways is not far....don't they have Punk IPA?
Never been but I'll give it a try when I am in BKK next week. Thanks, smokie

When you are on a 50K run in the middle of nowhere; fashion is not really important.
I sweat buckets (sweat rate is up to 2 liters an hour), wearing this very lightweight backpack won't make a difference. Not just for liquids either, I need food, electrolytes, head torch, mace (when in Thailand) and some of the Ultras require one to carry varying amounts of clothing.

I run the distances you bike and would collapse with the little you drank. I have a running vest with a bladder that can two liters and 2 half-liter bottles and I still buy more on the way. Dehydration is not to be taken lightly in this climate.

And there FB page hasn't been updated since November.
I thought the food was decent for those rare times I fancy some pub grub but the service was hit and miss. Though this seems to be common with these English-styled Pubs; it is my pet hate at my regular, the Black Swan.
Went into the Black Swan once.
No drinks price list visible and when I asked for one they said they didn't have one.
Sounds like they just make it up on the spot depending on how much they think you will pay.
I smiled politely and left never to return
Never actually paid attention to that. I was given the food menu often but I just cannot remember if beer prices were on it, too.

Most Khmer have no problem with foreigners as long as they don't take naked selfies in Angkor Wat and other stunts like that.
The bad news for all the refugees from LOS is that the government is finally applying visa and work permit rules and it is not as easy as it used to be for the sexpats.

The guy was 54 years old, maybe out of shape, and had drunk 7 (seven!!!!) bottles of Whiskey plus numerous beers.
What exactly is suspicious here?

IMHO...Barrack Hussein Obama has an identity crisis...his loyalty is split between the Muslim culture and Western culture...and he appears to have a problem identifying the Muslim aggressors who are running amuck in the ME...
He is about as Muslim as apple pie, but let's not get facts in the way.
Is he an ineffective president? Sure, but the stereotyping that has been directed at him is ludicrous.
As for any politician loving his/her country: I have my doubts. I think one of the prerequisites of becoming a politician is to be a self-centered, conniving, lying, cheating SOB.

Next: Obama is a Kenyan Muslim. Wait a minute; we have been there before

It looks pretty.
Good enough for me

I once made the mistake of looking up water-borne diseases in South East Asia. Not a good idea (I bike, run and Hash so end up in water quite often) and I chose to not take it to heart. 20 years later and I am still alive and kickin'.
Hashers are immune from infections while on a run. The beer will protect
OnOn!
True that.

I guess so but I haven't figured out the color code.

Disclaimer: I am not German
Not going to hold it against you
I will certainly try "Auf der Au" next time; thanks for the recommendation.

So they are not guaranteed a minimum wage?
This stinks, if they can't find other EU-workers then something is wrong. There are loads of East Europeans who will come if there's work.
And what if they need healthcare? Or want to leave because they can't eat moosemeat? Or go crazy from the mozzies? Or commit a crime?
Actually, no. With economies in the East doing pretty well, there is no real incentive to do this kind of job. Strawberries and Asparagus used to get picked by Poles in Germany (too much work for your average German on the dole); not anymore. Farmers are having rea; problems getting their harvests in.

what is brilliant about the biggest sex tourist destination in SEA? apart from the obvious? IMO it's a national disgrace and an embarrassment. To dislike the place is not 'weakness.' Obviously the jumper had enough of it.
Whilst Pattaya might have some areas that are not quite as nice, I very much doubt it was the reason the gentleman jumped; it is not "obvious" to me at all.

Never been in the sea here (full of excrement) and never in a swimming pool. On my first visit in 1994 a bloke was going home in a wheelchair, caught a similar virus in a swimming pool and completely screwed him up, no thanks.
I guess you don't venture on the streets either, seeing how many people get killed in traffic? Or fly?
Seriously, there most be millions of people swimming in pools and the sea in SE Asia at any given moment. I have no statistics but I am sure the vat majority survive their encounters with the water.

I recently ran a 100K with this on my back and didn't even know it was there. It are very lightweight and there is no frame, so no stiff parts.
