I'm still waiting (for many years) for the good news that the ridiculous tax on imported red wine be dropped to something that does not threaten bankruptcy.
At least you have landed back at Heathrow with a pair of sandkes and shorts

We have had cool weather since last October. And I have not been electrocuted while looking for frogs.

Without pics to aid I'm still trying to figure out how this happened. Just about every condo balcony I've ever been on in Thailand has a surface water drain. Why didn't the drain cleaner run down the drain?
For it to land on the cars they must have been parked half in and half out under the balcony. (unless the wind blew it as spray?).
Exactly most people park totally under. Without pictures everybody's just speculating

If the Op hadn't have come forward and owned up, the car owners would have reported to the police as a crime. It could have been caused by the vandals spraying drain cleaner over the cars deliberately or by a careless action by one of the condos owners.
I am sure the police would quickly find if the bottle of drain cleaner had any fingerprints on the bottle and a quick check via records would identify the owner of such fingerprints.
I do wonder what the op employer would think if the local police turned up at the op's school for questioning
Before speculating let's see the actual damage on this car

That`s typical reply from a dishonest person who denies responsibility for any wrongdoing.
The condo owner made a silly mistake and should have third party liability insurance for his unit. Its not e xpensive. Just checked
Just checked with the insurance company. Insurance pays nobody else accidental damage. Phone the insurance company. 555 I will tell you the dishonest.. Dont start crying on here when they start asking for 100,000 baht for something a shop would do for 1000 baht

You need to see what the paint technicians say, but as you know drain cleaners are extremely corrosive.
For starters the drain cleaner could have corroded the paint down to the metal. If this has happened then the affected areas of the vehicle will need to be taken back to metal.
Next, an isolating product will need to be applied to neutralise the drain cleaner. If this is not done perfectly then the paint will bubble when it is sprayed on, and the work needs to start again.
If you have covered most of the panels on the car then it will probably be a full respray.
On top of that you need to consider that any affected rubber seals might have perished, as well as any affected plastic parts being melted. It will depend on just how much drain cleaner, if any, landed on these types of parts.
Don't be surprised if the car owner doesn't want to claim on their insurance; chances are a claim of this significance will increase their premium next year, putting them out of pocket.
Insurance claim won't go up you will loose 10% maybe which is a couple hundred baht. No significant increase!

Nothing to do with you the wind blow it off a balony their insurance will fix the damage not you. If the insurance companies want to sue you up to them. You can move in the next six months. Why did you open yotr mouth to begin with or did everbody know you had drain cleaner
