"And why do I so love wandering around Hardware Stores?"
Cos you is a perv....

This campaign needs to be extended nationwide with immediate effect
under the paternal guidance of deputy PM Chalerm who will be able
to promise total eradication within three months and the swift execution
of all perpetrators.

Have a readymade supply from my garden, nothing like
picking the first banana to ripen, taste amazing .. ..it's
what to do with the other 179 on the bunch.

Its a similar thing to those that moan about street parties, I just rock up with a couple of bottles of Johnnie Walker and the misses, plonk my arse down and join in. Met some really nice people this way.
Think you will find they are more interested in making friends
with Mr Johnnie than with you.....

Don't see myself as being a guest, more
of a gatecrasher, so when I have drank
all the beer and shagged all the women
I might leave.....though it's taking longer
than I thought.

Oh, Randy........get over yourself

Think by residing in Thailand you stand a very
good chance of not dying through natural causes
or old age.....

A new faultline, caused by a previous earthquake, was found in Nakhon Nayok province and could be considered the country's 15th active faultline, a seminar of geological professionals and related agencies was told yesterday. The Nation
Maybe they have just found the 16th....

I meet my wife in BKK. After 3 years in BKK I had enough of the Big Mango and told my then GF (wife now) that I want to move to Pattaya. First she didn't like the idea at all but after a couple of visits she kind of got used to it and liked the beach scenes very much.
We now live in our second house in the outskirts (Naklua) of Pattaya, have a lovely son and life is good
.
I don't think I could live in a small town, I like the buzz here in fun town and keep my Villy in the pants, if you don't respect and thrust each other, marriage is worthless.
I forgot to mention that my wife speaks very good English so communication is not a problem.
OP you could consider on-line dating.
If you can't "thrust" your wife, who can you "thrust"?

Nice post and in some respects a brave post, to admit you want to
break out of the mould.
Think a lot of it is to do with mindset, you look on every woman in
Pattaya as a hooker and you think they look on you as a walking
ATM.....game set and match.
I went through the same process some years ago, desperate to
meet a straightforward Thai woman. It happened without me
realising when I got friendly with a girl who worked in a large
Bangkok hotel, she suggested on my next visit we could
perhaps go away together....talk about knock me over with a
feather.
End story, we have now been married for five years.
Yes, there are nice girls out there.... even in Pattaya.
So you met her only the once and then she suggested that you go away together...yea she sounds like a real 'nice' girl...ha ha.
No, I got to know her over several visits - sure they are your sprogs,
those nurses get pretty frisky on night shift.

To say the very least I am was disappointed with the livery of
the first new Thai Airways A380 when it was rolled out of the
paint shop last week.
I understood that the aircraft would be adorned in traditional
Thai artistry as featured on the country's Disco buses,
complete with a large pair of knockers, dazzling lights and
deafening sound system.
The interior of the aircraft is now being fitted out to Thai's high
standards, with worn seating, and an unworkable in-flight
entertainment system. The two decks of the aircraft will
each feature their own 7-11 outlet and the wider aisles
will allow somtan carts to roam up and down(the wrong way).
Special care has also been taken to equip the bathrooms
with modern footprints-in-the-snow toilets.

Can't edit my previous post, but guesing it is the
1.6 S you have as 1.5 only launched in March.
-
thanks stingray/dick. Taken on board. I do think the warrenty will transfer with the car as will the insurance etc. If not, then that'll be a factor to take into account.
They will both transfer, but my point was that you will have
taken up six months worth of both, unlike on a new motor.
Assume you are talking about the 1.5 which is selling well
because it falls within the government rebate scheme, but
by the same token that means Somchai has to buy a new
motor to qualify.
If you or you wife are in Thailand suggest you go and have
a chat with the Ford showroom, they might come up with a
suggestion to resolve. It might help if you could pay off the
finance, that at least would get you three years interest
back, then go for a cash sale..
-
I could order a new Fiesta for 700,000 and get a full years
insurance, full warranty, plus 10,000 worth of extras thrown in,
worth in total around 30,000.. .think you are going to have
to take a bigger hit.

Since you are supposed to carry your passport as ID whilst you are in LOS
how are you supposed to manage whilst it is "in the post" to Hongkong?
The FCO are aware of this and so applicants in Thailand keep their old passport.
Pretty much the same procedure as you describe, I believe.
......He is a mod and does no know this simple fact?.
By the way reference to use of your local vicar was a joke.....sense of
humour bypass methinks

How about your local vicar?
Going to leave you to your own devices
re endorsement of photo and form....
you were warned.
-
Can you hum it for us?
-
Daffy - Have you actually printed out a passport application form
and read what the requirements are - see Section 9 re endorsement.
-
Daffy - If you live out in the sticks DHL will forward onto you
by local EMS, you still have to make the trip to the DHL
office for the outgoing dispatch. They are very efficient,
even insisting on checking my docs to make sure I had
included everything.
Even if you do not have supporting docs to be returned
from HK they will still send just a receipt by courier, its all
included in their very "reasonable" charges. Its supposedly
timed so that you should receive your passport and receipt
at the same time.
Its a half barmy system, but it does work.
And yes one of the photos has to be endorsed

Nice one, Don Juan just down the road for me, no
need to endure the big airport experience just
to catch a local flight.
Anyone else here got a big affection for the Don,
happy mongering days and lots of never forget
you goodbyes......what were their names now.

Red Plates - What Are The Driving Restricitions
in Thailand Motor Discussion
Posted
Have recently taken delivery of a new motor with
red plates, but no log book, since been told that
high volume of new purchases means they are running
out of log books, so my red plates will likely be
the dealer's own plates. Advice when out on the road
....be very careful. At least they did not charge me
deposit for my dodgy plates.
