Poor girl, two weeks in a locked room watching
Thai TV......enough to send anyoe delirious

Can remember back in less paranoid times, when
Frankfurt Airport actually had a shop exclusively
selling Swiss Army knives.
Bought a great multi-tasker with a four-inch blade.
Apart from providing the ability to silently kill people
it was really useful for spreading butter on my
cheese and biscuits when travelling.
I wonder if it is still there......

When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars
..........and a lucky few of us got to see the delicious Marsha Hunt.............
Yeah, as I recall she had quite a bush back then....now 69 years old

Geez....why would you want to own a car here in this country......
OK...no need to answer........ I should not have asked.........but still........ who wants to drive amongst all the "Road Monkeys" and "Road Savages" that are abundant throughout Thailand.....lol
Cheers
Well,
How about those of us that don't trust the ' Road monkeys ' and ' Road savages ' to drive us around in taxis or public buses.
I would sooner trust my own driving than a guy in Thailand who is probably self taught and usually has one vice or the other in the form of alcohol or Yaa baa.
Good points
Meantime I have been here for 25 years while I never had the urge or desire to buy, own and drive a motor vehicle here in Thailand.
But that is the way I feel.
Meantime.......fill your boots if you want to spend your hard earned money on such consumer items and have to maintain them and continually pay for them in a number of ways while every time you get out there and drive it is somewhat of an ordeal while you fight the traffic and burn your hard earned money on motor fuels.....over and over again.
Cheers
No desire to buy,own or drive a motor in Thailand, but
reads and contributes to the the motor forum.....I like it.

Just HAS to get into the headlines. Make sure you don't forget me me me me me !!
Not really. It is a convenient way of telling the Thai military administration that the revocation of his Thai passport hasn't caused him any significant inconvenience. In layman's terms, he just gave the finger to the General.
Curiously, I view it the opposite way. He has just had to undergo the now public ignominy
of having to travel to Montenegro to obtain travel documents which he thought he would
not require. Making life just that little more awkward for the miserable old sod......and this
is what this game is all about.....

Love my Vigo and would like to upgrade
to a Revo, but as old age creeps on don't
think I can face climbing all those stairs.

Why can't I believe what the OP is saying?
May be it's just me.
Sounds black and white to me.
Except in Thailand where everything is "kao dum"

I would like to volunteer Capt Mainwaring....

First Japan and Korea ban the airlines/flights. Then Japan changes its mind, and now Korea too is backing down. So, what's changed? Nothing has been solved, the same problems that caused the ban still exist. Either there is a problem, a danger, or there isn't. Which is it.
Maybe if we get big rail contalact, we change our minds....

Anyone else see the irony of opening up the program on this date?

Used to buy it at Tops for 65 baht a bottle
until the lady at Tops told me about the
Makro price, the downer being you can
only buy it by the case at 1,000 baht plus
a go.
And as I tell the missus, once a case has been
opened it has to be consumed within two days.

I think I read some thing about when applying for a retirement visa extension at Korat immigration and the bank account letter confirming that the bank balance was 800,000 Baht , had to be properly address to some specific immigration officer / immigration address .
Can any one confirm this is still a requirement , and if so whats the required officer name / address
do you think that the flowing will suffice for a first time retirement visa extension at Korat Immigration ( last yearly extension was '' Married to a Thai " )
One completed TM7 form
One 4cm x 6cm photo
Bank confirmation letter showing 800,000 Baht ( one day old and addressed correctly )
Yellow House Book ( Tor Lor Sip Sam )
Thai Wife

Just as a heads up I did a switch from marriage to retirement extension
the other day thinking this would roll-over from the end of my marriage
extension on March 31.
But no, because I was switching, the new retirement extension would start
on day of application March 11, and end same date 2016.The upshot being
that I effectively lost three weeks on my extension.....so perhaps don't apply
too early.
Dick,
this has happened to me twice @ Kap Choeng. Once when I changed from marriage to retirement and my last extension when I changed back from retirement to marriage....It never happened to me @ Korat when I changed from retirement to marriage though...figure that one out
<removed>
By the way this happened to me at Lop Buri.

Had it up to my neck with Korat immigration, five years of teeth grinding,
teeth clenching applications with ever more hoops(of their own making
it would seem) to jump through.
One always assumes it is much the same experience at other offices.
But no it is not. Recently changed address and this week went for
my first retirement extension at Lop Buri immigration. Smart offices,
fully-staffed desks and a friendly service. Pressed for a retirement
extension ticket on entry and was immediately directed to a desk,
with extension and re-entry completed in 30 minutes.
What a joy....immigration nirvana does exist.

Think the "logic" might be that while the long-term
desks are always busy the guy at the short-term
desk has a much quicker turnover and can often
be sat there twiddling his thumbs, which of course
he is quite happy to do..
-
That would save me 18 baht on my latest bill.......way to go!

Thanks guys, appreciate your input....see you in Lop Buri.

Got the possibility of switching to Lop Buri as my local probation office.
Any good or bad experiences out there in terms of speed and efficiency?
