Can you remember what it was off the top of your head per person?
This year its just shy of B1700 plus tax etc and B850 for kids,
or you can go the whole hog at B2500 to include free flow of
booze.

Check out Trip Advisor with the hotel of your choice and it will
give a price comparison of top booking sites.
Agoda still my most favoured, pay upfront in sterling with UK
cc card and you will get no extra charges.

All I see in the accompanying article are well dressed and well groomed tourists who are doubtlessly helping the tourist economy recover. They have every bit as much right to visit here as anyone from the West. Same goes for non-white tourists from anywhere else. Got it? Stop acting like you're in a gatekeeper role, in a position to decide who is welcome here. Excuse me, it's not your <deleted>' country. Do you really need to be reminded that Thailand is part of Indochina, and that cultural ties in this region between India and China go back centuries and centuries?
The woke folk forum is right around the corner.....

No such thing as defacto in Thailand re legal entitlement.
Personally I have same Thai partner for 10 years and she would not have any right to the funds I keep in bank for extensions.
Just another PITA associated with living in this wonderful country.
Another option not mentioned so far is to use agent to avoid funds in bank.
Edit: sorry Andrew missed point of your post.
I have approached my banks about my partner (not wife) being silent on my account.
I got the "you need marry"
Not so smart after all........

Indeed, it is a one stop process at Korat and always get a re~entry
permit along with extension. Hear too many stories of folk forgetting
to get permit at the airport......and that is their hard earned extension
busted.

Even with a completely legitimate service, there is still the risk an application can be mishandled, or one's passport is lost. Not through malice, just incompetence.
I have learned how to do the 90 day report online, so I only have to present at Immigration once a year for my retirement extension. Safer, the only other people handling my passport are the IO's.
"I have learned how to do the 90 day report online"
Did that involve going to evening classes?

That's the first thing they do when they receive
your application in the UK.
Check your credit card account few days after
applying.....it is a useful way of checking that
your aplication has been received and is being
processed.

Looking to obtain bank letter and statement for extension at Korat IO.
Is Bangkok Bank's Korat branch at 680 Mittraphap Road ( just round the
corner from Terminal 21) user friendly in this respect.
