  1. Don't forget to get a Thai driving license. If you have no address in the UK you'll be unable to renew your UK one.
  2. I wish I could get rid of mine that easily....
  3. Identifying the culprit is also an issue. So many drivers deliberately remove their registration plate, or simply spray it white so it's hard to read. Big fines for this! Also.... Ghost riders - heavy fines for not having working rear lights on motorbikes.
  4. Why???......
  5. After many years of absence Burger King (Hungry Jacks to you guys down under) have brought back their cherry pies 🙂 So happy to have a cheap and tasty pie.
  6. Let's face it, the USA is not a democracy when it only has two choices for president. Both of them are millionaire elites, and I guess trump is seen as an alternative to the boring continuation of the direction of the USA I think going in for the last few years.
  7. Landlords in Thailand are the same as anywhere else. Treat them and their property with respect, and most likely they will respect you.
  8. https://www.thaieasypass.com/en/links/easypasstopup Sadly a lot of the 'English' is in Thai
  9. The national park used to run night safari tours in Songthaews. Not sure if that stopped during covid. Really you need to consider renting a car. It's so much better than sitting in the back of some truck.
  10. No age limit. I opened one for a 3 year old at Omsin - GSB
  11. Buy a car telephone holder and use Google maps in your car. Simplest way. But as previous posts have said you don't have to go that far. If you're going from BTS Nana go into the far right hand lane at nana intersection so it seems like you're going on the wrong side of the road, but there is a lane there, and a bit further down you'll get to the tollway intersection on the right. From there just head north till you get to saraburi, then go on the ramp and head on Route 2 northeast towards korat. Just after the Khao Yai intersection you'll find you can get on the new motorway which will deliver you to the outside of korat. No toll yet because they haven't built the toll booths.
  12. Was she allowed to blow out her own candles?
  13. How do you know the car blessing didn't save you from a fatal car accident? Most people are not 'obsessed' by religion here, but it's a social norm. Social face, social standing, respect....... and of course there's a element of money laundering.... Saves paying taxes on questionable income.
  14. and I thought you were talking about your wife....
  15. Butterscotch slice....... I never had a problem with swede, and although I don't choose to eat liver, the liver served in rich gravy at school was always good.
